En el hotel, el hotel se encuentra en una zona de 3 estrellas, donde se encuentra el centro de la ciudad. La habitación era muy buena, la habitación estaba funcionando. La habitación era moderna y mejor no tan estrecha como la otra habitación, había una habitación en ambos lados de la cama para entrar, como la otra habitación sólo podía entrar en un lado de la cama, como la cama estaba en contra de la pared, así que esta nueva habitación era mucho mejor. El hotel tiene una conexión Wi-Fi muy guapa y no existe. Todo lo demás era perfecto desde la limpieza al personal y el desayuno bufé fue aceptable sólo no mucho elección para la paleta occidental, pero para un filipino estaba bien

This is a good place right in the city centre. The hotel looks a bit dated, and the floors in the room were dirty — you had to keep your shoes on. Otherwise, it’s a typical stay at a pleasant price. There’s a restaurant on the ground floor with an open buffet at a very reasonable price — you can eat all day long. There’s also a pool on site, but it doesn’t seem to get much use. It’s always crowded around the pool (especially at lunchtime and dinner), the pool itself is a bit dirty, and there are no nice views — just neighbouring buildings.

We arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for. When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem. Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help.  We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests.  One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe.  Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property.  Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility.  That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects.  Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality. We stayed at Crown Regency Residences for a week, and overall it was a great choice—especially for budget travelers with kids. One of the biggest highlights was the unlimited pool access until 10 PM every day, which our family really enjoyed. It made a huge difference in keeping the kids entertained without needing to go out and spend extra. The place offers hotel-like service, and the staff were consistently helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. While the building itself does show its age and could use some updates, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. If you’re traveling as a family and looking for something affordable with good amenities, this is definitely a place worth considering. Despite its older appearance, I would still choose to stay here again for a budget-friendly family trip.

La ventana ofrece vistas al mar, hay nevera y la ubicación es excelente: cerca del mercado nocturno, las atracciones y el muelle. Se ofrece café y artículos de aseo, e irónicamente, el champú es chino. La desventaja es el cargo extra de limpieza de 400 pesos, que no está indicado.
