The location, the setting, the facilities and cleanliness is pretty good. The issue is with their service. We tried calling the reception during the working hours and there was no answer. They also did not call us back. If we are lucky, we will see a staff and get some assistance. It is important to have a car of your own otherwise it is difficult to get around in the resort. The total that the hotel charged is way more than what was shown in trip website. Even if I include the city tax it was still high. It is important to give a clear picture of the total amount of the booking. Just to put it in context, there was almost Euro 150 difference between what was shown in Trip website and the final amount that I paid to the hotel. This is a shocker for me. And of course it is not what I want to have a first experience of using Trip website. This needs to be looked into.

We really enjoyed our stay at Baia Azul. This hotel has everything! Gorgeous views from the lounge area, a lovely bar with entertainment at night, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms, and a very nice pool area. We cannot fault it! The breakfast was also lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

El hotel dispone de una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una habitación con una mini frigorífico, pantalones de baño y ropa. También ofrecen toallas de piscina. Hay un servicio de limpieza todos los días y cambian todas las toallas, incluyendo las para la piscina. La cama no era la mejor porque era bastante dura y tenía una matraca de primavera. Disfrutamos de la piscina interior, el jacuzzi y la sauna. No hemos probado la piscina exterior porque sólo pasamos tiempo allí en las noches. El desayuno era bueno. Volvería porque era una experiencia agradable en general.

We stayed in the hotel with group of friends. The experience was really nice — rooms are clean and design are interesting and cozy. You will have breakfast in the other hotel next door and it’s delicious. Also you can use territory of other hotel — there are really nice lounge zone, pool and sea-view. We enjoyed. Only one thing was disturbing — if you want to sleep with open windows it can be really noisy. Because of the buses (going from early morning) and loud people (who were singing and screaming drunk). But if you close the window everything is perfect. Thanks

Charming hotel with spacious and bright rooms, a well-kept garden and a wonderful view over Funchal. The property is original and very interesting, though perhaps in need of some care. The available parking is a real plus. Quiet location yet close to the city center, with always friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere, highly recommended for a pleasant stay.

Ubicado a unos 5 km del centro, pero fácilmente accesible en autobús local. El autobús del aeropuerto para justo enfrente del hotel. Desayuno decente. Las habitaciones son un poco antiguas y algunas huelen a humedad. Parece un hotel con paquete vacacional, pero con una relación calidad-precio razonable. Es la primera vez que veo que un hotel cobra un suplemento por usar la caja fuerte.

Я выбирала отель с видом на океан по доступной цене. В итоге, нашелся отель с очень просторными номерами, панорамным окном, кофе/чай, удобной ванной комнатой с биде, большим балконом. Единственные моменты: раздельная кровать для пары и слабоватый душ. Шум ночных волн на любителя:) Нам пришлось закрывать дверь на балкон, хотя и так было довольно шумно. Сервис очень дружелюбный.  Завтрак вкусный и свежий. Много выпечки, напитки, нарезки и горячее.  Не ожидала, что будет бесплатный трансфер до центра и обратно. Абсолютный плюс этого отеля, потому что находится он не в шаговой доступности от центра.  Виды, чистота возле отеля, свой пляж - это потрясающе.  Далее мы проживали в частном секторе и много что посмотрели на острове, но первые две ночи в Orca Praia остались в нашем сердечке💘 С уважением,  Елена из России

La experiencia en Pestana Ocean Bay fue muy agradable. El personal siempre fue muy amable y atento, dispuesto a ayudar en todo lo necesario. Sin duda, cuentan con un equipo que se preocupa por el huésped, atento y empático; me sentí muy bienvenido. En un cuestionario que respondí durante mi estancia, mencioné que podrían incluir uvas en el bufé (ya que a mi hija le encantan y aún no las tenían). Hice esta observación pensando que ni siquiera la leerían; sin embargo, al día siguiente, al llegar a la habitación, nos encontramos con un hermoso plato de uvas. En ese momento, nos sentimos queridos, como en casa. Fue un gesto de cariño que nos conmovió. Merecen ser felicitados por esto y por leer los cuestionarios, algo que a menudo pensamos que nadie leerá ni se interesará por lo que está escrito. Tienen una excelente organización, presentación y logística de todo lo relacionado con la estancia: comidas, entretenimiento al final del día, excursiones, etc. ¡Siguen con un trabajo excelente! Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel a Madeira e nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene. La stanza ci è piaciuta molto, così come la posizione, comoda per raggiungere facilmente i principali punti di interesse. Anche i servizi offerti dalla struttura sono stati soddisfacenti e hanno reso il soggiorno piacevole. L’unico aspetto che ci ha lasciato un po’ delusi è stata la pulizia, che purtroppo è risultata al di sotto delle aspettative, soprattutto considerando il livello generale della struttura. Nel complesso è stata comunque una buona esperienza e, con una maggiore attenzione alla pulizia, il soggiorno sarebbe stato davvero ottimo.
