This is a new place that just opened in Nov 2025. The boss is very welcoming and extremely helpful. He recommended good restaurants for us to try and as foodies, this is pretty important. They also washed and folded our clothes for us, and I have 2 pretty big bags of clothes to wash. The hotel is located in the old town and you can walk to a night food street close by. We stayed in the smallest room, but it has everything you need. Will come back again as this city is an amazing historical city. Winter is not crowded at all, so you can consider visiting in winter.

This homestay (B&B) was Amazing! Coming from the US, and not being able to speak Chinese, we just planned to not take advantage of any hotel transportation. This hotel reached out to us via chat on Trip and coordinated pick-up a couple days prior, allowing us to use translation apps. Our train arrived several hours before scheduled check-in for the hotel, wasn’t an issue at all. Check-in was quick and we received some local goodies as well as a fruit basket. Amenities for the room are amazing, room itself is fully electronic and state of the art. The blow dryer was Dyson! We planned to walk to lunch, they kindly gave us a free ride. Breakfast was great as well with some local specialities (all fresh, not a buffet). This homestay was so welcoming and amazing, it made us sad we had only planned one night in Datong!

This hotel combines the convenience of modern high tech with the spiritual beauty of traditional culture. The rooms themselves are constructed around courtyards that give a sense of what life might have been like in Datong many centuries ago. In the lobby and in the rooms, murals decorate the walls with elegant designs of birds or flowers. The cabinets, bench, and floors made of wood and the countertops made of marble work together well and draw on design choices that are classicly, universally appealing. At the same time, the entire room is wired with the amenties of modernity. The toilet has a seat warmer and a light that turns on when you lift the lid so that you can find it in the middle of the night. Similarly, there seem to be motion-sensitive lights throughout the room that light up when you walk in the middle of the night so that you can find your way around. The water in the shower and the bathtub is able to get very hot (which I love!) and has high pressure. There is also a top-of-the-line hair dryer. It's the perfect blend of high tech and traditional amenities! If I have one complaint it's that the room was so hot that I had to open my window to let in the freezing air, and still the room was hot! That shows how effective the heating system is! The serivce at the hotel is also extraordinary! All the members of hotel reception are very friendly. And they send someone to your room shortly after you settle in to give you a platter of fruit, which was fresh and seasonal and artistically chosen it seems. They also have 24 hours service in case you need anything. My friend went into the lobby early in the morning shouting about coffee, and the staff came out quickly to make him a cup. The hotel is also very clean. The blankets, the pillows, and the sheets are as white as snow. The floors are free of dust and dirt and smudges. Everything in the shower and toilet room was scrubbed clean too. And the shower drains smoothly without pooling any water, showing how well it is maintained. Finally, the location is very convenient. You can see that for yourself by just looking at the map. But I would like to add that just outside the gate of the hotel, you can see the Prince's palace, which is beautifully lit at night. What's more, my favorite restaurant in downtown Datong (I think the restaurant is translated as BeiWei Family Garden or something like that) is less than 5 minutes walking from the gate. There are also multiple shops for buying vinegar or wine or shaji snacks. In less than 10 minutes, you can also walk to all the major commercial streets. I love the location of this hotel!

Nos acompañó hasta la casa y nos dio un mapa escrito a mano con información detallada sobre restaurantes y atracciones cercanas. Incluso nos preguntó a qué hora planeábamos desayunar al día siguiente para prepararlo, un detalle muy considerado. La señora que preparó el desayuno también era increíblemente hábil; todavía recuerdo los fideos hechos a mano, mucho mejores que los de los restaurantes Lao Chai. Como era tan difícil conseguir reservas en Fenglinge y Longjuxiang, la recepcionista me dijo que Longjuxiang ofrecía servicio a domicilio, así que pedimos y comimos allí, ¡sin arrepentimientos!

Nuestra habitación era absolutamente fantástica: espaciosa, cómoda y con acceso directo a una sala de juegos. Nuestros hijos estaban encantados y nosotros pudimos relajarnos sabiendo que jugaban felices cerca. La distribución era perfecta para nuestra familia, permitiéndonos descansar sin descuidar a los pequeños. Liu, en particular, fue increíblemente amable y atenta durante toda nuestra estancia. Se desvivió por ayudarnos, incluso organizando un traslado sin contratiempos a la estación de tren al momento de nuestra salida. El hotel en sí era excelente: moderno, limpio y muy cómodo. Su ubicación céntrica nos facilitó explorar la ciudad sin complicaciones. ¡Recomendamos encarecidamente este lugar a familias que buscan comodidad, confort y una hospitalidad excepcional!

Reservé dos habitaciones, en el segundo y tercer piso, y hay ascensor, lo cual es muy conveniente. La casa de huéspedes se gestiona como un hotel, es limpia e higiénica, y está en el lado norte de la antigua ciudad, muy tranquila. No está demasiado lejos para caminar hasta la Puerta Sur, y es fácil coger un taxi. La comida en la antigua ciudad es fantástica. La jefa nos recomendó el restaurante Kaige Jiulou, y nosotros mismos encontramos Xijindao y Longfengxiang, ¡todos estaban deliciosos!

Aquí, no solo podrá disfrutar de la comodidad de las aguas termales, sino también experimentar el encanto único de la medicina china. Es un hotel de salud de primera. Las habitaciones son cálidas y cómodas, y el servicio es meticuloso y atento. Tanto el cuerpo como la mente han sanado. ¡Sin duda, volveré a traer a mi familia!

Nos registramos en el Hotel Datong Wangfu Supreme el 7 de septiembre. El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente y un transporte conveniente. Las habitaciones están limpias y ordenadas, el ambiente es cómodo, la decoración es exquisita, las instalaciones son completas, la ropa de cama es suave, el baño está seco y los camareros son cálidos, atentos, proactivos y considerados, especialmente Liu Yunhua y Yu Hongwei, quienes son muy atentos y entusiastas.
