This hotel is super convenient to the train station- about 10 min by didi (and you can also take the bus). While the entrance may be a bit tricky to find as there are several hotels in the building (it’s to the left of the McDonalds), the rooms are great. They were extremely spacious, clean, and very comfortable (and affordable!. Downstairs there is a supermarket which sells all types of great breakfast items and at night, there is a food market for the high school students to visit during their dinner hour (it doesn’t last long as it caters mostly for the students). The area around is very convenient with buses, bikes, and e-bikes available. These are helpful as the roads are quite wide and the blocks are large so it takes quite a bit of time to walk places.

An excellent hotel in a fantastic location! The location is outstanding, being on top of the large Wanda Plaza which has an abundance of shopping and dining options. The popular night market is right outside, and the botanic gardens and other beautiful parks are a short walk away. The room looked exactly as it did in the pictures on the app, and was very spacious with high-level facilities including smart shower and smart toilet. The smart shower in particular was great. Both the reception and housekeeping staff were friendly, very efficient, and helpful. I look forward to staying here again!

La yurta en la que nos alojamos estaba limpia y la habitación contaba con artículos de aseo desechables. Por la noche, disfrutamos de una animada fogata y, aunque llovió intensamente en mitad de la noche, el aire acondicionado de la habitación funcionaba muy bien, así que no pasamos frío. Hermoso resort en las praderas de Xilamuren, con una mezcla de yurtas tradicionales y alojamientos únicos de estilo moderno. Me alojé en ambos tipos de alojamiento y ambos fueron muy cómodos. Los ventanales ofrecen vistas a las extensas praderas durante el día, mientras que las yurtas también tienen un diseño único de techo acristalado para contemplar las estrellas en las noches más despejadas. El desayuno consistía en comida local bastante sencilla, principalmente gachas de avena con guarniciones como pepinillos y huevo, muy abundante. El almuerzo y la cena no están incluidos, pero hay un amplio menú del que se puede pedir. ¡El resort también tiene su propio bar! Creo que abre todas las noches durante la temporada alta de julio/agosto, y en otros momentos, dependiendo del volumen de huéspedes. El jefe, el Sr. Da, y su personal fueron muy amables y atentos. This hotel gave us the most unbelievable, heartwarming stay we’ve ever had, and I truly cannot praise the hotel management enough their service is absolutely unmatched, no exaggeration at all! We were fully worried about how tricky it would be to find and reach the hotel at first, expecting a stressful journey navigating the area. But the management team stepped up with incredible kindness, extreme accommodation and genuine hospitality from the very second we contacted them before arrival all the way through check-in, our entire stay, and even our check-out moment near the hotel entrance. Every single member of the management team treated us like beloved family, not just random paying guests. There was zero cold, robotic hotel service here—they cared about every small worry we had, offered help without us even asking, and always greeted us with warm, sincere smiles. During our whole trip here, we never once felt like we were far away from our own home; their thoughtful, wholehearted care wrapped us in comfort the entire time we stayed. PLUS the views were outstanding! From the start of our trip to the minute we packed our bags and left the hotel, their thoughtful support never wavered. This level of genuine, heartfelt hospitality is extremely rare to find anywhere. If you want a hotel that doesn’t just give you a room, but makes you feel welcomed and loved like family, this is the one you absolutely must book without hesitation. We will 100% come back on our next trip and strongly recommend this accommodation to every traveller looking for warm, flawless service!

All resorts are remote from Hohhot, so we took a Didi from Hohhot to the resort. It took 1:50 hours. They resort itself is really nice. The yurts are comfortable and clean. There are plenty of activities that you can do around the resort. Just talk to the service people. We did horse riding, go car, saw a Mongolian show and every evening there is a fire show at the resort. A worker drove us to the activities. The food at the restaurant was a bit pricey but high quality.

This is exactly what a Grassland stay should be, and more! Our time at Xilamuren Grassland Tourism Resort will forever be etched in my heart. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us like family, going above and beyond to recommend attractions, arrange tickets, and even personally drive us to the sites. Where else do you find service like that—done with a constant smile and thoughtful touches like free bottled water to keep us refreshed? Staying in a traditional yurt on the open grassland is an experience beyond words. There is something grounding, peaceful, and almost spiritual about waking up to endless green horizons instead of concrete grey, hearing the soft rustle of the prairie wind, and watching the morning light sweep across the landscape. This isn’t just accommodation...it’s an authentic encounter with the beauty of Inner Mongolia. Anyone visiting the region simply must experience this once in a lifetime.

Our experience was truly memorable! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with horse wine and traditional music, which set the tone for the trip. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, offering us a variety of activities right away. Shortly after arrival, we went horseback riding through the beautiful fields. Following that, we visited a nearby area with an array of activities like tea tasting, dressing up in traditional Mongolian clothing, archery, and viewing livestock. There was also an option to watch a horse riding show, but we decided to skip it as we were a bit tired. The room was cozy, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though it was cold outside, the heating kept the space warm, making it a perfect retreat after a long day of activities. It added a charming touch to the overall experience. In the evening, there was a large yurt on the premises where we enjoyed an authentic Mongolian dinner accompanied by a captivating live show. The night ended with fireworks, a bonfire, and more entertainment, making it a truly unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this place if you want a well-organized and immersive experience. Even though we don’t speak Chinese, communication was never an issue, and we always felt welcomed. A big thank you to the team for taking such great care of us!
