La recepcionista probablemente no tenía mucha experiencia. Al registrarme, empezó a atenderme, pero se distrajo con otro huésped que venía a dejar una maleta. Sin embargo, después me explicó con mucha claridad cómo usar las cerraduras. La habitación estaba limpia, aunque encontré un pelo en la cama. Tras avisar al personal, cambiaron rápidamente toda la ropa de cama. El pasillo estuvo un poco ruidoso hasta las 23:00, pero después los demás huéspedes se tranquilizaron y se quedaron en sus habitaciones. Las toallas estaban limpias y se pueden coger toallas limpias del pasillo cuando se necesiten. También hay un dispensador de agua. En general, el lugar está limpio y el personal responde rápidamente a las peticiones. Lo recomiendo a cualquiera que busque un alojamiento limpio y económico.

Esta vez viajé sola a Corea del Sur. Me alojé en el primer edificio de un callejón entre Oly y Butter, en Myeongdong. Me quedé en el piso 16, en una habitación de seis camas. Todos fueron muy tranquilos y guardaban sus maletas en el pasillo, dejando la habitación solo para dormir. Las personas que conocí fueron muy consideradas. La recepción está en el piso 15. El recepcionista hablaba inglés, así que solo necesité decir 'check-in' y 'check-out' para que me ayudaran con el proceso. También ofrecían WiFi gratuito y toallas, lo cual agradezco. Después de las diez, las luces del restaurante en el piso 15 se apagaban, pero la primera noche necesitaba comer allí y me lo permitieron. Los baños estaban separados por género y tenían ducha y WC separados. Había agua gratuita, lo cual fue genial. El personal del hostal fue realmente amable y me sentí muy segura. La ubicación es muy conveniente, cerca de la estación de metro. Justo al bajar hay un Oly y enfrente una tienda de conveniencia CU. Definitivamente lo elegiría de nuevo para mi próximo viaje, ¡gracias!

The location is very nice. You can easily walk to Myeongdong, Namsan Tower, and many restaurants, and transportation is convenient. The staff were very kind and helpful. However, it’s difficult for me to say this was a good stay overall. Here are the reasons why: • Elevator – The elevator is only for luggage, not for guests. This should be clearly stated before booking. As in here it’s show as the property has an elevator without explaining that it is a cargo elevator, it is misleading. • Security – The room password was simply the room number with an additional “1” added to it. I didn’t leave valuables in the room, so I wasn’t too worried, but it still felt like a weak security system. • Room Door – There is no additional lock on the inside of the room. While the digital lock can be activated, I never felt completely confident that the door was fully secured. • Soft Opening Without Notice – When I booked, there was no mention that the property was still in a soft-opening stage. I expected the hotel to be fully operational. Instead, there were unfinished areas, items left around the property, and staff frequently entering rooms after check-in to inspect or photograph things without being asked. Had I known the hotel was not fully ready, I would have considered other options before booking. • Poor Room Layout – My room was 405, located at the end of the hallway. The neighboring room (404) had a door positioned in a way that it would hit my door whenever opened carelessly. During my four-night stay, the guests next door banged their door into mine repeatedly. Eventually, at around 1 a.m. one night, I had to contact the staff and ask them to address the issue. • Cleanliness Concerns – The property appears to use the same type of towel for everything. When I asked about a bathroom mat, I was told to use a towel instead. This gave me the impression that the towels were being used for multiple purposes, including drying floors. On top of that, the towels shed lint and left fibers on my skin after use. • Very Small Bathroom – Please be aware that the bathroom is extremely small. The shower is positioned directly over the toilet, and there is barely enough room to stand while showering. In practice, you almost need to sit on the toilet to shower comfortably. After two nights, I seriously considered moving to another hotel. The only reason I stayed was because my mother didn’t want to move all of our belongings again. To be fair, one of the staff members (possibly the owner) sincerely apologized and explained that they were trying their best. I do believe they genuinely care and are making an effort. However, there is still a long way to go before this property is ready to provide a comfortable hotel experience.

La ubicación no está mal, a 3-5 minutos a pie de la estación de metro más cercana y a 30-40 minutos de trayecto de muchos de los principales lugares turísticos, como Myeongdong o Hongdae. La zona alberga a muchos residentes mayores, así que tenlo en cuenta al visitarla. Hay un CU y una GS25 cerca, además de algunas cafeterías y restaurantes. La limpieza del hotel estaba bien, las paredes estaban algo deterioradas y necesitan una nueva mano de pintura, y el baño es... interesante. Está básicamente limpio, nada que sorprenda. Sin embargo, la calidad del baño es extraña. El desagüe de la bañera es solo decorativo, ya que el agua sale directamente por el desagüe y va a un desagüe en el suelo. El cabezal de la ducha, al colgarlo del soporte, rocía directamente a la pared, y no a ti. No es la mejor calidad, pero sin duda es manejable y no supone una gran molestia. Todo el personal del hotel fue muy amable y hablaba suficiente inglés como para entender. El servicio de habitaciones venía siempre que lo solicitaba y proporcionaba comodidades básicas, como botellas de agua fría, productos de higiene, coleteros y otros artículos similares. El hotel no dispone de lavadora, por lo que se le indica que lave sus prendas en una lavandería cercana. Una auténtica experiencia cultural, por así decirlo.

Estaba asistiendo a una reunión de fans en el Gimnasio de la Universidad de Corea, así que la ubicación y la relación calidad-precio fueron factores decisivos para mí. Está a cuatro minutos a pie por terreno llano desde la estación de Dongmyo-ap (línea 6, sin transbordos) frente a la estación. Frente a la estación, hay una amplia gama de opciones, incluyendo DAISO, OLIVE YOUNG, un spa abierto las 24 horas, McDonald's y el Hong Kong Restaurant 0410. Hay dos restaurantes de pollo y dos tiendas de conveniencia (una en diagonal frente al hotel) cerca del hotel, lo cual fue más conveniente de lo que esperaba. Hay registro de entrada y salida automático, y los huéspedes deben traer sus propias toallas de la recepción. Si tienen algún problema, pueden resolverlo contactando a las redes sociales del hotel. Un amigo mío se alojaba en el mismo hotel y, cuando su televisor no funcionaba correctamente, los contactó por LINE, y un miembro del personal vino a arreglarlo poco después. Había una pequeña nevera. Era el día después de una nevada y la temperatura estaba bajo cero, pero la calefacción funcionaba bien y pudimos llevar ropa ligera. Está ubicado una cuadra detrás de la carretera principal, así que es tranquilo, y la ducha y el secador de pelo son bastante potentes, así que es un hotel al que me gustaría volver.

Mi estancia fue maravillosa: la habitación estaba limpia, con aire acondicionado, una cama cómoda y una taquilla con código PIN. Las duchas estaban completamente equipadas con gel de ducha, acondicionador, champú, pasta de dientes y secador de pelo. Había una pequeña cocina donde se podían preparar comidas, café, té o agua. También ofrecían servicio de lavandería y secado, lo cual me resultó muy útil. Las habitaciones se limpiaban a fondo todos los días. Se podía dejar el equipaje en una zona designada antes del check-in.

El hostal Gangman Seven me pareció una experiencia muy agradable. Por su precio, es realmente inigualable en Seúl. Aunque está un poco alejado del barrio turístico, está muy cerca de varias líneas de metro y está bastante limpio considerando el precio. ⬇️ Además, si sales del hostal, giras a la izquierda y caminas 6 o 7 minutos, verás este restaurante de dumplings (foto abajo). Son dumplings increíbles y asequibles; lo recomiendo encarecidamente. Volví dos noches.

We were able to locate the guest house easily using Naver Map. However, our first struggle was how to reach the destination itself. The guesthouse is located in an uphill area, almost near Namsan Cable Car (600km/20min walk). A great tip we discovered (after struggling of walking uphill for 2 days 😂) was using the escalators/elevators near the Ihoeyeong Memorial Hall. Go straight from there and you’ll find a 7-Eleven convenience store upon crossing the street. Go left then right at the first wide alley way you see, it should be uphill. Keep on walking until you see a signage of mama guest house on your right side. We booked a day before our arrival so we could immediately check-in in our rooms. A note welcomed us and our keys were found at the reception area. Pls don’t forget to remove your shoes and change into the slippers they provide found in the shoe cabinet at the left side of the entrance. Our rooms were next to each other, but differ in size. Bathroom was okay, but I hope they’ll fix the sink’s pipe problem in room 104 since it leaks on the floor upon using. I suggest buying shower filters (5,000 Won) since the water in SK is quite harsh. I suggest to test how you’ll adjust the temperature when showering. There were no bidets in our bathrooms. Always bring your keycard with you whenever you go out. They don’t go into your rooms like hotels would. If you have any requests, just leave a note on their desk (ie. New towels, tissue, etc.) They also don’t have laundry machines. Do not eat inside the rooms, only in the kitchen which is in the basement. If you feel like your trash bins are getting full, trash bins are found in the lobby and segregate everything according to their waste category. Just think of it as you’re staying on your own room. Walls are thin, made of light wood materials so I wouldn’t suggest talking nor listening to your phone loudly. Breakfast menu were cereals with milk, bread and flavored jam, and instant noodles. You can only consume what’s inside the fridge unless there’s a note that a room guest owns it. You can cook and buy your own food, just make sure you clean up after. You can also fill-up your water bottles here. Going to different areas are easy too since it’s near Myeongdong Station exit 1. If you’re planning to go shopping in Myeongdong, just go straight after exit 1 and you should see E-Mart across the street then cross on the first crosswalk you see. If you want to enter the “main” street, go left until you see the bug HBAF building. Overall, I think our stay was a good since the staff we get see was very accommodating to our requests. I just hope they’ll fix some of their bathroom leakage.

This hotel provided an outstanding experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort. My room was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
