Private cars are not allowed inside the Putuo Scenic Area. If you have small luggage, you can bring it on the bus; for larger suitcases, you can arrange courier transport for rmb10 per piece per way—your guide or the owner can provide more details. The beds and bathroom are clean and well-maintained. We were satisfied with our 2-night stay. Tips: The owner provides disposable one-time-use towels. They are thin and small, so bring your own towel if you prefer something more comfortable. There are breakfast options right at the entrance. For lunch and dinner, it’s about a 5–8 minute walk from the building. We personally preferred the small local restaurant over the larger seafood restaurant. It is 1.7km to Puji Temple and 2.2km walk to Harbour. We chose to take bus as too much walking for us for the day already.
