Hoteles en Simpson Bay, Sint Maarten

We had studio but it was enough space for a couple. The room was clean and had everything what's needed for cooking if you wish to do so. The bed was wide and comfortable. The AC was working fine. The beach had enough gazebos for all goers. The water was calm and so warm which i loved. Also noticed a number of pools which we do not use in general but some people seem to prefer. There are some restaurants on side and plenty near the resort. Also supermarket is available on side and near the resort. Everything is convenient and within walking distance. Please note the landscape is hilly. You need to be fit to walk around.

The staff was warm and friendly.A special shout out to Kelma at the front who made sure we were checked in quickly and made our stay enjoyable and comfortable, very warm and friendly. The rooms were extremely clean and well equipped. Beach is on the property. Food and grocery also. Loved it

NO LO RECOMENDAMOS PARA VACACIONES, SÍ QUIZAS PARA PASAR UN FIN DE SEMANA Nos alojamos en el hotel Sonesta Maho en Sint Marteen durante 8 noches ya que el hotel all inclusive al que íbamos a ir no abrió el día acordado y entonces nos pasaron a este. Vamos por partes: LO POSITIVO: 1- las habitaciones; estuvimos en una suite que verdaderamente es espaciosa, la cama es muy buena, la ducha es increíble, la presión del agua sale perfecta, el aire acondicionado funciona bárbaro y el balcón tienen buena vista y es cómodo. La limpieza es buena. 2- la ubicación; el hotel está a 5 minutos del aeropuerto internacional Princess Juliana SXM y al lado de Maho Beach. Se puede apreciar el aterrizaje y el despegue de los aviones que llegan a la isla. 3-Queremos resaltar la atención de NELSON y de RAMÓN. Lo dos fueron muy amables desde el primer momento y súper atentos, a diferencia de casi todo el resto del staff. Como sugerencia, consideremos que falta personal, no dan a basto para atender. LO NEGATIVO: 1- Siempre falta algo en cada comida, en cada trago, en cada bar y en cada restaurant. Durante nuestra estadía de 8 noches nos otorgaron una lista de los restaurantes que abren por día y en todos figuraba que en THE PALM GRILL servirían de 8-10 am el “CARIBBEAN BREAKFAST”. Dicho restaurant JAMÁS abrió, ninguno de los días estuvo disponible (contrario a lo indicado en el dinning schedule que ellos mismos entregaban). Nos acercamos para hablar con el manager y mencionarle la situación 3 días distintos y nunca estaba presente. Intentaron comunicarnos por teléfono con otro manager y tampoco funcionó. Incluso nos dijeron que al día siguiente abriría y no fue así. Esto fue muy frustrante y decepcionante, ya que no sólo es una falta de respeto para con cliente que paga por su estadía, sino porque el desayuno buffet estaba siempre lleno de gente. Como conclusión, quizás para pasar un fin de semana el hotel está bien, pero más día resulta frustrante y repetitivo. Una lástima, ya que la isla es hermosa y tiene playas increíbles.

Ubicado en una de las mejores zonas de la isla, es céntrico a las playas más exclusivas y hermosas del lugar, tienes todo lo que necesitas para una estancia plena y placentera, sin duda me quedaría muchas más veces con ellos

We highly recommend this beautiful resort on Maho bay. We’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints, we feel ourselves relax as soon as we walk into the lobby that overlooks a large pool and blue ocean. Our unit is always clean and spacious with awesome ocean views. The staff are kind and helpful, the ocean front restaurant mixes up some great frozen drinks for poolside fun. The management team is top notch, timely attending requests to enhance your stay. The Royal islander is located close to the French border so both Marigot and Grand Case are short drives away. There are many restaurants within walking distance of the resort. We look forward to returning as this is truly our place to exhale.

I stayed with friends at this resort for a few days during my visit to St. Maarten. The resort is beach front however, it felt man made. The sand was very much like quick sand if you stood in one spot too long. There was also a pool which was very nice and there often activities in the pool area. The rooms were nicely furnished but after speaking with others staying on site there were many rooms that had an issue with odor. My friends room had a strong odor and it took several complaints before someone actually came and addressed the issue. The staff that responded explained there was a ventilation issue causing the odor issue but to me it smelled like mildew. Despite the delay in a response to the smell complaint the staff members were always pleasant. Also, please note that if you chose this resort you should expect to be approached about attending a time share presentation. If you agree to attend beware of - Diane. She claimed to be a trainer in the time share presentation department - avoid her! She asked inappropriate questions throughout her so called presentation. Every time she asked where I had traveled in past and I told her she seemed jealous. She never actually showed me the property she wanted to buy into but was offended and interrogated me about why I didn't agree to purchase. She said “it’s Hilton”. When I told her again I wasn’t interested and explained that Hilton resorts outside the US don’t all live up to the Hilton name she became angry. I couldn’t believe she was a trainer because she was very unprofessional. She also insisted on signing me up for a Hilton AmEX card which I thought was so inappropriate. At one point I thought she might be intoxicated because she spoke in run on sentences and much of what she said was rambling and incoherent. Had I wanted to purchase, I definitely would NOT have done so with deranged Diane.

Este hotel es en realidad local, una antigua aldea de vacaciones con marcas cerca del príncipe**. Las instalaciones están muy desmoronadas desde fuera, pero desde dentro están decoradas, que se ajustan al estilo estético más reciente de esta decoración interior que doy mi punto de vista.
