If you have young children, stay away from this hotel. Walls are paper thin and the other customers apparently do not like children. We stayed there for one painful night. Toddlers are loud, especially when first checking in. Our phone kept ringing but when I answered it, there was no sound. We tried to get our toddlers settled in as quietly as possible. A hotel receptionist knocked on our door and asked us to be quiet, which we were actively trying. My daughters were not screaming; they were just talking. My two year old tripped and fell down and I comforted immediately to stop her crying. She cried for less than 30 seconds but the phone started ringing. We finally had the children settled and in bed when someone knocked on our door. A mother with four kids believed our room was hers. We told her we just checked in and it was ours. Ten minutes later another hotel staff knocked on our door and threatened to kick us out as this was our las warning. I called the front desk and spoke to her to let her know the “noise” was not us beyond answering our door. I also advised her that the room phone wasn’t working which hadn’t been passed on to her from the previous front desk person. We wake up at 8 am and immediately get ready to leave the room because I know at this point, a complaint is imminent. Again, my toddlers were not screaming or yelling but they shockingly talk and cry at the littlest thing. Despite my best efforts to try to move fast while reminding them to whisper, the phone rings and within minutes a new front desk staff tells us we are making too much noise. My husband is fed up at that point and has the kids leave the room in various states of undress. I stay in the room to pack up quietly. Guess what happens 15 minutes later, the phone rings. We are getting complaints even when we are quiet. I went downstairs and confronted the front desk person about him being the third person whom I told over three shifts that the room phone does not work. I also ask him if he would like me to abuse my children to get them to shut up. Short of duct taping their mouths, toddlers are toddlers and this was the most family unfriendly experience we have ever had. Traveling is hard enough without feeling harassed by hotel staff and children-hating customers. The walls must be paper thin because my children were never scream, yelled or jumped up and down. I felt the entire experience to be hostile to a family with young kids. We will avoids this hotel in the future. I would suggest any family with young children avoid it as well. I don’t know what is worse: being threatened to be kicked out when your two year old cried after tripping and hurting herself or being threatened to be kicked out when someone else’s child is making normal noise and being singled out as the scapegoat.
