We arrived here around 11:00 a.m. after a train trip from Florence. I had booked this hotel for our final night in Rome mostly due to its close proximity to the Termini Station – about 2 short blocks away.
Finding the hotel was initially a moderate challenge. I had the street # (76) and found that on a sign. This was above an entry into a courtyard, from which at least 2 other hallways branched out. Then there was a list of around 4 hotels, which apparently were each on a different floor. I had not seen a configuration like this before.
The elevator was small – it could accommodate 2 people or 1 person and 2 bags at a time. It took us 3 trips to get up to floor 3.
The lady who greeted us at the front desk was quite helpful. Our room was ready in 15 minutes (which was a pleasant surprise). We unpacked somewhat and did our airline check-in, as she had offered to print our tickets at the desk.
The room itself seemed relatively big. There was plenty of space for suitcases. The bathroom was small, and the shower stall was an afterthought (sort of a 3’x3’ closet, though it did keep the water in).
The area around the hotel had plenty of restaurants and café’s though it seemed a bit rougher then, areas another 5 to 10-minutes’ walk away.
They did have a coffee maker that worked during business hours. The front desk was staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and they had an after-hours call #.
This hotel served our needs for a final jumping-off point for returning home.
