My fur baby & I enjoyed our stay tremendously. We had a fantastic view of the mountains. We will visit again.

A true little hidden gem, surrounded by stunning views, mountains ,peace and tranquility. Perfect for overnight or longer stay. Eiskom dit not play along, but bring a back up light just in case. Who needs luxury when on a farm? Very accommodating hostess, hot farm breakfasts the best!! Best of all.. pet friendly.

Great ,peacefully quiet sleep over just a short distance from the Truck busy N3. We received a warm welcome, amd Thea did everything to make our sleep over as comfortable as possible, delicious breakfast before continuing our route...

Never stayed at Oban Historical. Called in 21 days before requesting cancellation and refund of deposit. Never received refund. Booking never cancelled. Not impressed with Oban Historical. Definitely will not be recommending.

Beautiful place and an awesome, friendly host. Spacious, comfortable rooms, beautiful open outdoor area. Nice dinner, in the rooms everything you need - coffee, many pillows, some books. The host recommended as many cool, local attractions. Overall, great experience!

We were on the way back to the South Coast from Pretoria and decided to break the trip. Oban was a good place to stay. Steven met us and helped us to our room. He prepared a tasty home cooked meal for us and a great log fire in the lounge. Our room was very clean, comfy and warm. Breakfast was good and they serve the best homemade marmalade made by Kim, the owner.

A beautiful place that meets all your needs. The views are stunning, the food is awesome and the vibe is calm and peaceful yet so joyful. The staff are so accommodating and always prepared to go the extra mile. We will certainly be returning and have already booked our next visit.

Our family with young kids stopped over at Oban Guest farm on the way from Gauteng, and it was so good that we changed our route back just to overnight there again! The breakfast was fantastic, with some organic ingredients from the farm. The whole place is very kid-friendly, and Thea was a great host.

Not as per images on website - no swimming pool, no bar, no selection of meals (basically soup, choice of pork or chicken served with rice or potato. and desert is what you get) Breakfast was served cold due to load shedding, if you would like fried onions, please do not expect any! Everything on the plate was cold, the whole "English Breakfast" We booked Jan's Cabin for the views as per the website, but was moved to Mayflower Cottage?? Mayflower is not up to standard, kitchen dirty, bath not acceptable, cussions on bed extremely uncomfortable and a smelly fan. The hostess was very friendly, but unfortunately this is not what we expected and paid for.
