XQ Vistamar

Booked one week in April,just returned. Fabulous apt ,everything new. Ample fridge space and freezer. 50 yds to the beach. Supermarket to the right very expensive. Spar to the left far more reasonable. Previous reviews have stated only ceiling fans but can confirm air conditioning in all rooms now. All apts have pool and beach view. Lovely pool quite adequate for the 34 apartments. Fifteen minutes walk to the main shopping centre and restaurants. However 10 restaurants within 5 minute walk. Point to bear in mind , no kids pool or entertainment. Lovely poolside bar serving very reasonable drinks and snacks. Only ****** would be bed linen not changed in 7 days and no real draining facility for washing up dishes. Highly recommend.

I really like the place. Pros: just steps to the calm beach, safe swimming, nice water temperature shops are close enough if you need anything apartmant was very spacious and clean with a very well equipped kitchen (everything new) plenty of good restaurants around, just steps away Nice, powerful shower Nice, big balcony Cons: The Irish pub next door is tend to be loud but it lasted till midnight, after that it was silent, live music, if you like that type than it's a pro, it was very popular to many. Huge masts and antenna clusters on the surrounding hills (as everywhere nowadays) but the e-smog in the room was ok, not too high, not bothering. A bit hectic cleaning (timings). Ants and couple of mosquitos (no big issue), I don't like chemicals, I got rid of the ants without asking for 'treatment'. They didn't have working Aircon (but I think they were about to have them as there was a switch in the bedroom for it), in november the fans were enough. The swimming pool was not big, but was enough for that amount of guests and it was heated however I preffered swimmimg in the sea. Some part of it were rocky when the water was shallow but the far-end was not. Shops are well equipped, the Spar nearby had my favorite organic glass-bottled kefir, fresh orange juice, with some walk (up) or with a taxi (5-7 eur) you can reach bigger shops with gourmet and organic stuff. All in one I would happily go back, sadly they are closed now?

Fantastic hotel with great lacation. Apartments are nice, quiet, very clean, all new. There is everything what you need to make breakfast. Pool is nice and there is always space for you. There is also little bar by the pool. Stuff is friendly.

Check out is 11am .£10 extra per hour for late check out . Convenient shop next door for £2 -5 litres of water .No air conditioning but didn’t need it . It is a bit pricey if coming as a couple but you are paying for location .The shop towards the central shopping area sells GF bread .

Visited with family. Clean , simple and fuss free accommodation. Apartment overlooks pool and see view with easy access supermarket and food eateries next to the entrance of hotel. Beach 50 yards across the road.

Nice appartment. Easy access to the harbour to get the ferry to Mogan etc. Right on the beach. Next door there is a supermarket but goods are cheaper in the Spar at the end of the promanade. Its a short walk about 5-10 mins to the main shopping centres and bus station. We had a two bedroom appartment which was on the 1st floor next to the reception. WIFI in the room was good it was a bit hit and miss around the pool area. Kitchen in the appartment was well equipment with hob, microwave and fridge freezer enough plates\cups\glasses\cutlery for 5. Also a dustpan\broom available which can be handy. The balcony was large and would happily sit 4. Bedroom at front of the property could get a bit noisey in the evening when the music from the irish bar starts up. Bed was comfy and there was extra pillows and blankets. No a/c but fans which worked well. Safe located in the wardrobe. Bathroom had a walk in shower which depending on where you have the shower head can flood the room. Always had hot water and lots of pressure. TV didn't use so can't comment on the quality of channels available etc. Pool was a bit refreshing but ok once you were in. Sunbeds we were there end of sept early oct so there were plenty available but unfortunately it didn't seem to stop the sunbed reserve scheme! The hotel does discourage this but didn't seem to inforce but as mentioned there was plenty available so it wasn't necessary. Pool Bar just purchased drinks here which were good can't comment on the food. Late Check Out - We did extend but wouldn't bother again. They can only let you have the room till 2pm so if you have a late pick up its not worth the money €10 per hour. There is no courtesy room so you need to change in the toilet which isn't ideal. Would suggest that they keep a room for this purpose then book hourly slots this would then provide additional income and keep late check out guests happy. All in all a good base to explore from

Nice wee hotel in PR great location across the road from the beach and harbour. Handy for some nice restaurants and for getting the ferry to markets in Mogan and Arguineguin. Downside was the amount of people who walked through the entrance from the pool causing the floor to be soaking wet and also some who used the elevator when dripping wet from the pool. Room was great and well equipped, staff were pleasant and helpful. Pool bar was good to for snacks and drinks, saw the hotel staff remove towels from loungers once when people were trying to reserve loungers

I stayed here for a week from the 22th to the 29th of August with my wife. We Travelled with TÚI from Dublin and despite all the bad press over. The past months from start to finish I couldent fault the service flights on time coach transfare 0 delays and the XQ vistamar purto Rico a nice well placed apartment block Ok so down to the brass tacks check in 3pm check out 11am you can store your bags and use the pool and pool bar if your waiting to check in or out. The room we had was actually number 1 ground floor a two bed room open plan kitchen / living room with pull out couch. It had everything you needed for a self catering holiday ours on thd ground floor had a sliding door to our open patio Area and like all the ground floor apartments went Stright out on to the small pool area and it is a small salt water pool around 3.5ft deep its more for cooling off and for the kids than swimming lenghts and it doesent matter anyway because the beach is so close when the girl useing the poolside bar used the till I could hear it ringing up. Its Cleaned reguarly and towels are changed as required. The staff were always friendly and chearfull. There's a selection of restaurants to the left and right of you the harbour is across the road with the ferry to Morgan 13 euro per person return market day is Friday and worth a ramble. There's a taxi rank directly across the road it costs from €2.60 to €3.00 for the 5min drive to the heart of the purto Rico night life the original shopping center fill of shops bars and restruants. A 5min walk from there are the newest shopping center and the Morgan mall for your more upmarket shopping. The XQ vistamar is on the level nó steeps to climb so it's a win for those with kids in buggies or if your not so steady on your feet the shower in our apartment was wheelchair accessible and the doors were widend. For me the XQ is a great place to stay and branch out from its not a party apartment complex and is very popular with Spanish family's on there holidays its with in touching distance of everything but just far enough removed. Two big drawbacks for me though. 1 there's no Air con it may not be a big issue in the winter months but I melted away at night with only celling fans circulating 28 degree air around the room. You can rent a fan for € 3 a night but then it becomes an annoying noise issue the faster the Verling fan goes the louder it becomes. And this is just me it's 2022 in a digital world surely to god it can't be hard to get at least 2 English channels on the TV 1 for the kids 1 for the Adults not that you go on holiday to watch TV but it's always nice to have the choice. Would I stay again yes 100% but not during the hight of the Sumner without Air conditioning.
