NH Boat Lagoon Phuket Resort

Boat Lagoon Phuket|A 0.74km de la Royal Phuket Marina
Resort is 40-50 mins drive from the Phuket airport. Not really near any beaches (30 min drive to the closest one) or town (20 min drive). Restaurants available around the lagoon area. Local road side restaurants on the main road. Boat arcade supermarket 5 mins walk from the resort front desk. Nice swimming pool, with kids playing area, and pool valleyball net available. Polite staffs. Good coffee at lighthouse cafe. Initially, we have booked a premier delux room with lagoon view. We arrived the resort entrance saying ”this looks nice”. But we checked in and realised we were not staying at the hotel wing. We were led to the marina/ lagoon side, which looked a lot like a retirement village. The room was large, nice view looking at the yachts. But the room was so neglected, and definitely needed some cleaning and re-furnishing done. Long story short, we had a long drive, we stayed the first night, and we would get a room change the next morning. Obviously, we didn't get a good night sleep. We approached the front desk, complaint about that room and wanted a room change. This was the first time I ever complaint about hotel room. Initially,the staffs wanted us the price difference, in the end offering a room at hotel wing, facing the pool with no extra cost. We checked out the room condition before accepting it. The difference was heaven and hell . Just want to thank front desk staffs for making room change available. This made the end of our trip on a high note. Just want to mention, although pool regulations said that no lifeguard on duty. But if pool attendant/staff sees young kids wander into pool without adult, staffs should intervene. One morning during breakfast hours, 3 kids walked into the pool , the oldest kid maybe only 7 yr old. The played at the kids area for 15-20 min unattended. The mother popped up from one of the rooms on 1st floor. The son decided jumped into deeper water. Lucky he didn't submerge straight away and managed to yell at his mother for help. Mother saved own son. Nobody would have noticed the kid was drowning if mom wasn't there.

Nos quedamos aquí sólo una noche, y nos encantaba que la piscina estaba justo ahí por nuestra puerta, tan novedad, pero no había mucho más que hiciera este hotel sorprendente. El restaurante estaba bien, pero cuando intentamos ordenar cocktails nos dijeron no (¿no podían saber si habían salido por ese día o ya no lo hacen en general, pero todavía estaban listados en el menú?? ) La habitación era limpia, pero tiene un poco de vibe rustico/antiguo si te gusta ese estilo, creo que la piscina es la mejor cosa que va a este lugar.

What a place, one of the nicest and most comfortable places I ever been to. I would definitely recommend for someone who’s looking for a super clean, nice, safe, comfortable, easy to reach place. The staff was amazing, facilities are top-notch where you have everything you would need.

El lugar es extraordinariamente hermoso, con una gran laguna en el centro del complejo. El personal y el propietario son realmente agradables y serviciales. Nos perdimos en el aeropuerto en nuestro primer día y nos comunicamos con la recepción para solicitar el servicio de transferencia. El conductor tardó solo 15 minutos en llegar. Lo pasamos muy bien aquí y, con suerte, volveremos muy pronto. Hay lugares hermosos y hay una gran piscina en el medio del complejo. El camarero y el dueño son muy amables. El primer día de nuestra llegada, nos perdimos en el aeropuerto y contactamos al personal para que nos ayudaran a recoger el coche. Llegaron después de solo unos 15 minutos. Lo pasé muy bien en Phuket. Espero volver pronto, ¡y definitivamente volveré a vivir en el resort!

My friend and I stayed here as part of the included accommodation while volunteering for a week at the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary. It’s a freshly remodeled hotel with clean, spacious bedrooms and private baths. Each room has its own balcony which is lovely. Comfortable beds and air conditioning. The staff was kind and provides bottled water every day, with extra upon request free of charge. The Dee Cafe downstairs is wonderful and a must while staying here for breakfast and lunch (they close at 5pm so on-site dinner options were a bit limited). The only drawback is there is no coffee or tea provided in the rooms so you have to buy it downstairs in the cafe if you crave a morning caffeine fix. The same staff tends to the front desk as the cafe so often the front desk was empty, but there is a phone number posted on the door in case you need assistance. Also, heads up that the walls are thin so everyone can hear any noise from the bedroom and bathroom! Quiet is highly encouraged.
