Masseria Palane

Have just woken up to the beautiful monastic ceiling in room Vento. The sisters have achieved the holy grail of hospitality; 5 star service but delivered as if in their home. Beautiful pool area which becomes a fairy grotto at night. Stunning sunsets . Very good inexpensive restaurants a 10-15 mins walk away. Stunning coastline , a 10 min drive . The lemon and ginger homemade jam is worth the visit alone. Very good value for money but more than that. A magical place, we don’t want to leave . It is rare to leave a review while still in situ but just couldn’t resist . Highly recommended

Amazing! Cozy, Calm, the pool is wonderful and the family staff are extremely nice and helpful. I reccomend more for couples than a whole family, and definitely more for the quiet bunch than the rowdy clubbers. Can’t say enough good things!

There is no doubt that the Masseria is "operated" with the maximum attention, you can see and feel that the family strives for perfection and all do it with passion and love. Rooms, garden, the buiding look new and perfectly designed in -most propably typical apuglian style. Rooms are in minimal design, but equiped with lots of useful stuff and the bathroom is also 5-star. Breakfast is plain but nice, local cheese, ham, and home-made pastries etc. You should ask for alternatives as egg dishes, juice etc. The garden itself is beautiful but smaller than we had expected. There is a terrace called "solarium" behind the pool, but if you room has no garden connection you rather feel not to come here in evenings as this part is rather dedicated to guest staying in garden connection rooms (but at least you might feel so, as if your room is not with garden connection you have to come out from the masseria and enter the garden from the street through an other gate). I recommend this Masseria with love to couples and elderly people, who desire for silence and retreats to the room at the end of the day. The acoustics of the inner garden doesn't let you enjoy the evenings with some chat and wine, as it will disturb other guests. So you had better do it in your room, otherwise you would be warned politely by the lady living in one of the rooms. I think such situation can be frustrating for both parties that is why I recommend the Masseria for the lovers of silence and early bedtime.

really everything is so well done here. Decorations and construction are perfect. Staff/owners are there to please and the facilities are top notch, really well deserved #1 rating. The only thing better than the cooked to order breakfast is the local take on an iced expresso. One thing I don't get, why no headboards? First time I ever had to sleep pillow to a plaster wall. Oh well nothing is perfect.

We spent over a week in Puglia, and this was by far our favorite stay! Located in a charming town near Santa Marina de Leuca, Roberta and Linda have restored a farmhouse into a beautiful Masseria, with all of the modern amenities (beautiful pool, great a/c, stunning gardens) that you would expect, without any of the crowds or hassle of staying in a touristic area. We stayed in the Romantic Room, which was massive, comfortable, and wonderfully decorated. Roberta and Linda have solid relationships and partnerships with the nearby beach clubs and restaurants - this was the only stop on our journey where I didn't need a reservation for anything until we arrived. It was truly a vacation, and we completely relaxed - all we had to do was show up and follow their recommendations; our favorite memories from Puglia came from Roberta! We toured many beach clubs on both coasts, and Lido Elite nearby was our favorite (it had an adults-only section). You must also eat at Retrò Casa Museo for dinner - it was also our favorite restaurant in all of Puglia. Finally, they also have great boat tour operators nearby if you'd like to explore the caves. Truly five-star service, and I hope to return one day soon :)

We stayed for almost a week at Roberta and Linda's fabulous Masseria in between Patu and Castrignano del Capo. If service has a name its them. They will help you with EVERYTHING you need for a perfect stay in Salento. Great breakfast, clean and stylish rooms and a gorgeous pool area. Nice restaurants within walking distance. This one is a MUST!

We enjoyed a wonderful family stay at Masseria Palane. Nothing was too much trouble (including arranging restaurants and lidos for us) and we really appreciated all the attention to detail. Delicious homemade breakfast with huge variety, beautiful accommodation and garden with stylish interiors and good quality beds and linens. Most of all, we felt very welcome and cared for. My wife and I stayed at Masseria Palane for 2 nights as part of our 5 week honeymoon trip and we were treated like royalty. The service was impeccable, the room was modern and clean and the pool was just perfect. It was my wife’s birthday during our stay and Roberta our lovely host baked her a surprise birthday cake. I would highly recommend staying at Masseria Palane. We will definitely be back to stay here on our next trip to Puglia.
