Serenity resort Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here. We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view. As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience! The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you. Thanks again for a lovely stay at serenity resort!!

I don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, but I want to write honestly, as someone who has worked in tourism for 20 years and seen a lot. The hotel definitely doesn't live up to its category. The biggest downsides are: there's no sea, the tide is very low every day, so you definitely can't swim here, and the knee-deep water that comes in in the afternoon smells like fish, and even while you're sitting at breakfast, there's a very unpleasant fish smell. But if you want, there's a shuttle that takes you to a good beach several times a day. The pool is dirty with green water; I was snorkeling, and there were tons of hair and sand at the bottom. The water doesn't circulate. In the morning, they pour two buckets of chlorine to disinfect the pool, and then it turns blue for a short while. The hotel rooms are large and comfortable, but tired. The tiles and plumbing need replacing. There were a lot of ants and cockroaches in the room. When we reported them, a worker came to exterminate them and treat them with ant repellent. On the plus side, the room has a large TV with YouTube access, a refrigerator, a tea station, a comfortable bed, and daily cleaning and towel changes. Peacocks roam the grounds (but that's not the main reason to come here). Breakfast is modest; there's a coffee machine with real coffee, pancakes, omelets like everywhere else, sausages and ham, and fruit. There were no yogurts or cheeses, and the juices were watered down. A lot of the equipment in the gym is broken. It depends on your preference, but for me, the sea and pool are key features in a place like this, so I wouldn't go back. There are plenty of cheaper and better options on the coast.

Mi novia y yo estamos viajando de mochileros y terminamos alojándonos aquí durante 3 noches porque se ajustaba a nuestro presupuesto. El único inconveniente es que no hay muchos restaurantes cerca, ya que la mayoría de los alojamientos son resorts a poca distancia. Aun así, la estancia fue increíble, las instalaciones excelentes, ojalá hubiéramos tenido más tiempo.

El hotel tiene su propia playa. El personal fue muy amable y brindó un servicio excelente. Había una gran variedad de comida para el desayuno. Mi habitación era espaciosa. Sin embargo, había muchas hormigas en mi habitación. El agua no estaba lo suficientemente caliente y la presión del agua en la ducha era baja. El baño tenía una gran ventana de vidrio, pero la cortina no se podía cerrar completamente para que mi amigo pudiera verme bañándome. La televisión no tenía señal, así que tuve que pedirle al hotel que la arreglara.

Nos quedamos en el Hotel Stage durante 15 días, y fue realmente maravilloso. Un hotel muy acogedor, limpio y cómodo que le hace sentir en casa desde los primeros días. Este hotel está situado sobre el agua con sillas, que me encantaba. Su apariencia única, con todo su suelo natural de madera y cubiertas añade a su encanto y sentimiento de la comunidad pesquera. Es un lugar terrible para quedarse para algunos grandes Seafood tailandés! Las habitaciones VIP son muy confortables, con una amplia ubicación y un lindo espacio exterior para relajarse a lo largo de la vista al agua. El restaurante está acompañado de un restaurante, también sobre el agua en siltos, que sirve platos de mar frescos y fantásticos, mis comidas favoritas fueron la barracuda con salsa dulce y azuleja y el calamari. ¡Son comidas de buena tamaño y sus jugos frescos también son perfectos para el calor! Aoys Farm Bakery y café también está muy cerca. Si va a la izquierda de la entrada a este hotel verá el signo de su café y la bakery. Aoy hace los pasteles más deliciosos que se suministran a muchos hoteles y empresas de la isla! ¡Es un buen paseo y es muy bueno para desayunos y jugos frescos o bebidas calientes, si no quieres comida marina en el resort, vaya ahí! Durante las vacaciones del Año Nuevo Chino, llevé a mi familia a Koh Chang para unas vacaciones. Como no teníamos planeadas excursiones en barco, optamos por relajarnos en el hotel. La tarde de nuestra llegada, como llegamos temprano y la habitación aún no estaba lista, el personal de recepción nos hizo el *check-in* rápidamente y luego esperamos a que nos entregaran la tarjeta de la habitación. Luego fuimos a descansar un rato al bar-restaurante de la playa. Al ser una zona de consumo, no nos encontramos con ningún empleado que obligara a los huéspedes a consumir, pero la mayoría de ellos pedían bebidas y comidas ligeras mientras disfrutaban de las vistas al mar. Como no habíamos almorzado, aprovechamos para pedir unos sándwiches, mientras esperábamos la llamada de recepción para avisarnos que ya podíamos ir a nuestra habitación. Durante ese tiempo, el personal del bar fue muy amable, sirviendo la comida y recogiendo los platos de cada huésped, y preguntando proactivamente si necesitaban algo más. En general, nuestra estancia de dos noches fue muy buena 👍, y la variedad del desayuno cada día era perfecta. Si volvemos a Koh Chang de vacaciones, sin duda priorizaremos alojarnos de nuevo en este hotel.

Un buen hotel, con una ubicación excelente. Los jardines son preciosos. Los desayunos son variados. La playa cerca del hotel también es buena, profunda al principio, pero hay conchas a unos dos metros de profundidad, y luego arena, pero no es gran cosa. Si caminas hacia la izquierda por la playa, hay muchas vistas preciosas. La piscina tiene una vista preciosa. El único inconveniente es el ruido del aire acondicionado en la habitación, pero a la segunda noche te acostumbras y duermes bien.
