UUsuario invitadoIt has been an amazing experience! We loved everything about the resort, its location, its breakfasts and especially its serene atmosphere, that brought us to a peaceful retreat, a nature lover’s paradise - peacocks displaying their colours and eyespots fully and wild birds singing as you stroll along spacious grounds or float, swim or leisurely paddle a kayak in the still, protected waters of the resort’s bay. Kayaks and paddle boards are free for the guests, there’s also an almost luxury gym that offers the resort’s guests a variety of equipment, including treadmills, exercise bikes, and many other items. Lots of towels everywhere - in your villa, at the swimming pool and in the gym. The rooms are spacious with stunning views, ours overlooked the sea front. Breakfasts offer a variety of fruit, vegetables, soups, eggs, main dishes, bakery, yogurts, cheese and sausage, drinks - every day different and really delicious.
The resort is away from the main road so it is really quiet, the only noise is from the fishing boats that head out to the deeper waters of the bay and then back to the fishermen’s village nearby. There’s a free shuttle that you can book beforehand (even 5 min before) to White Sand beach, it goes three times a day, and to Klong Son Market (every hour), they can also pick you up from the nearest ferry for free if you arrive there on your own.
We really loved our stay, every minute of it. Aiapura offers stunning views across the bay and has Koh Kood’s vibes - it is almost an ideal getaway from it all.
The only bad thing was that there was someone’s boat in the bay which spoilt our almost perfect vacation and swimming time, they used it whenever they wanted, without considering other people’s feelings or needs, just used the beach as a parking lot for their boat, that was really terrible. Also used the peer as a parking lot for the car. I am not sure if the resort allowed them to do so, but for a week they just did it. But for this particular family everything else was just flawless.

Amazing hotel - would highly recommend staying here.
We stayed at serenity resort for 2 nights on arriving at Koh Chang from Bangkok. The location is so so idyllic and relaxing, absolutely beautiful. We also stayed on the west side of the island for a couple of nights and while it is quieter on the east side of the island (ie, there is no point in leaving the resort in the evening as there is nothing really to do on the east side after dark) this is exactly what we were after.
The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food and drinks at the restaurant were great and reasonably priced. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view.
As other reviews have said, if you are staying here you will likely want your own transport so you can explore. We rented a moped from the resort at a very reasonable price. If you want to rent a car make sure you have an intl driving permit (takes a few mins to obtain but must do whilst in the UK). There’s barely any traffic on this side of the island so the drive down to long beach at the south of the island felt very safe on a moped despite the hills (and would be the same in a car). The resort staff recommended us to do this and then get kayaks over to Koh ngam, which we did and was a great experience!
The other option is to rent a taxi for a day (we were quoted c2500 baht for 6 hours) and they can drop you wherever you like and wait for you.

UUsuario invitadoPersonalmente creo que el resort es un reflejo perfecto del estilo arquitectónico y ambiental humanista; elegí una habitación en un edificio de gran altura porque me gusta este tipo de decoración interior muy cuidada y con características culturales tradicionales tailandesas. la habitación está equipada con una piscina privada independiente y grandes tumbonas; el dormitorio dentro de la habitación es un espacio cómodo, y las pequeñas decoraciones están cuidadosamente diseñadas y el baño es lo suficientemente grande y el agua del baño está uniformemente caliente y fría; el área de desayuno está integrada con la larga piscina pública, que también tiene un gran diseño, mientras cena. Disfrute del hermoso paisaje montañoso al mismo tiempo que cena junto a la playa por la noche escuchando el chapoteo de las olas, este ambiente es realmente genial; Todos los miembros del personal que conocí fueron amables y sinceros, y los invitados fueron muy educados, es una buena opción para vacacionar aquí.

UUsuario anónimoI traveled here with 2 old people and I'll give review from this specific perspective. We loved Sylvan's service — we always got a golf car to move around their huge area, breakfast was always welcomed with wide smiles, and taxi to the city was also organised quickly. Our room was quite and we didn't have neighbours. Facilities were amazing and we only had a minor problem with a sink (cleaners made a temporary fix and explained someone is a bit broken). Sea is clean. They provide kayaks for 200b for 2, and it was fun to research a nearby island.
As for significant problems, Sylvan is far from the town. We had to take expensive taxis and it costed us 100b for one person to get to the nearest grocery and back. They have restaurants and cafes in Sylvan but their fried fish costs 700b while town's price will be twice lower. Although, they provide free taxi to the town and back, time slots are inconvinient and there's none after 4 pm. I understand that it wouldn't be possible to build this big complex closer to the town but maybe letting residents to go for a dinner with the free taxi would make us consider this the best option we could have.

RRodgersHotel was lovely, right on the beach and could to the local shops.
We had a terrible issue with flies, and even though we ensured all the doors and windows remained closed, these tiny flies still appeared from the drains. We had to ask the staff to come every evening to help (which they did) but it wasn’t the best welcome back after a day out to have flies on all our personal belongings, especially when the main area was in the bathroom.

UUsuario invitadoNice room and decent hotel. Breakfast looks better than it tastes. The warm daily dishes are disappointing and there is absence of good Thai food. The bread, deli meat, cheeses, bread and salad choices are fine. Eggs and waffles are made to order and they are fine. Restaurant is not air conditioned and has small fans which add very little ventilation. Had issues twice with air conditioning and tub. Maid kept room very clean and made towels into pretty shapes along with flowers on bed.
Made mistake of coming in May and it was miserably hot and most chairs are not shielded from the sun. The beach although beautiful is very narrow and filled with large rocks and coral so not good for walking or swimming. Had to walk down beach to find a better beach area but it lacked shade.
If you can get the room without the 300 baht each normal charge I would suggest it. We had one day nearby in a cheaper hotel because we arrived late. Problem we had in May is there very few breakfast choices near either hotel. Very few street food vendors and mainly overpriced western food. Took several days to find good Thai food. I would recommend Koh Kood if you are alone. Better beaches and cheaper foods

Realmente me gusta mucho Anna. La habitación de la piscina junto al río en la que me alojé esta vez fue muy agradable y cómoda. ¡La señora de la recepción dijo que fue increíble cuando vio nuestras fotos de hace 7 años! En la noche de Nochevieja, incluso hice una linterna de pescado en mi habitación. Los turistas extranjeros me miraron con envidia, finalmente salí del hotel y se la di a la señora de la recepción. Espero tener la oportunidad. para volver en el futuro.
