UUsuario invitadoI would like to commend the hospitality of the staffs it's safe to say that they are well oriented in accommodating their customers. The cleanliness is 101%, not only the room wherein you can't see a single mishaps in cleaning but as well as the stairs going it's thoroughly cleaned. Early in the morning you can see the staffs cleaning in the hallway. I suggest and hope that they will care to provide each floors with its own water dispenser because it's quite inconvenient to walk down and upstairs again just to get water to drink. I hope they also serve breakfast rice meals.hehe But overall it was a good stay. Surely, we'll be choosing The Strand Suites and Dormitel in our next stay in Davao. Kudos! and God bless!

UUsuario invitadoDelivers in all the ways it promised. This is my third time staying here and it's quickly becoming my go to stay when I'm in Davao.
Location? Chef's kiss. It's located right in the heart of the city. It's only a couple hundred meters from Abreeza and one jeepney ride away from the other malls (GMall, SM Lanang and SM Ecoland). Check-in is convenient and quick.
The unit itself has been very clean in the three times I've been there. Guests check out regularly so the room usually gets cleaned daily. Privacy hasn't been an issue with the privacy curtains. I really appreciate the study space as well, particularly the chair. It's a very comfortable chair. Airconditioner is working perfectly. There's a balcony if you need to hang clothes out in the sun. Favorite place in the room is the bathroom. Clean bathroom with a bidet, plus heated shower and faucet.
Of course, there are trade offs in the sense that you don't have absolute privacy and you have to tread lightly for other guests which is expected for the price. Absolutely best value for money in all the places I've stayed at in the city.

There is no microwave to heat food.
You can’t bring pomelo to your room due to sanitary policies.

YYkhca_TravelsWe arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for.
When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem.
Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

RrdmnrsOur stay at the hotel was excellent. We were looking for an affordable location with a conducive atmosphere for studying, and it delivered. While it's located on a street that experiences heavy afternoon traffic, this ironically worked in our favor, since the limited vehicle access made the area surprisingly quiet. The receptionist and staff were warm, accommodating, and handled all our inquiries efficiently. As for the room, I actually appreciated the analog aircon, since the steady noise helped me focus. There were a few areas for improvement, however. The toiletries were limited to a bar of soap (shampoo and toothpaste would've been a nice addition), and the analog TV had a weak signal and took up space. One major plus was the reception area, which offered ample lighting and table spaces for studying. The elevator was convenient, though note that it's turned off late at night. Overall, a highly recommended stay for students or budget travelers looking for focus and quiet.

MMs. HayleyFrom the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help. 
We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests. 
One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe. 
Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property. 
Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility. 
That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects. 
Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality.
In conclusion: if you’re looking for a stay in Davao that offers more than just four walls — a place that feels both refined and welcoming — Dusit Thani Residence Davao delivers. Its attentive staff, well-appointed rooms, great amenities, and strategic location combine into a memorable experience. For those planning a trip to Davao, whether quick or extended, this hotel is a solid bet.

YYkhca_TravelsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of the city. My partner and I experienced excellent service, mainly when an incident arose that required us to visit the hospital. The staff were exceptionally cooperative in providing an incident report, which was incredibly helpful for our insurance reimbursement process.
While the hotel is somewhat older and the amenities could be upgraded, I still felt very comfortable during our stay.
I would recommend this place.
