::))My first visit to Otaru was truly unforgettable, all thanks to my experience at this wonderful hotel!
Located just a pleasant 20-minute drive from Otaru Station, the hotel is nestled in a tranquil, private area that feels like stepping into a captivating wonderland. I was delighted to discover a bus stop right across from the hotel, making it effortlessly convenient to explore the surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly by name, and they were incredibly helpful with our luggage. Taking off our shoes upon entering the hotel created a feeling of comfort and cleanliness that made us feel right at home. After a smooth check-in process, during which they confirmed our breakfast time, the staff graciously guided us through the hotel, sharing helpful information about opening hours for various amenities.
Our room was beautifully adorned in traditional Japanese style, complete with an open-air bath. Enjoying this serene experience during the winter was simply magical! We also savored a delectable Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was not only a feast for our taste buds but also left us delightfully satisfied.
The onsens were a real highlight, featuring an adjacent sauna. With daily alternating access for women and men every other day, we were able to enjoy both during our stay. Families will find this hotel exceptionally accommodating, thanks to its variety of playrooms and relaxation spaces catering to guests of all ages. Plus, the complimentary refreshments and bar in the lobby until 10 PM added a lovely touch to our experience.
Breakfast was a true delight, with a peaceful view of the snow outside the restaurant, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
On our departure day, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the JR station, making our exit seamless and convenient.
Looking back, our only regret is that we stayed just one night—I can't wait to return and immerse myself in a different season's beauty. This hotel is now firmly on my list for future visits, and I’m already looking forward to the next adventure!

最初沒考慮運河距離小樽站的距離，在小樽這個溜冰雪路拖行李箱走20分鐘左右真是滿心怨氣，退房時學乖了，請前台幫忙叫車，700日元起步價😆
這家的前枱佈置很有50年代老電影裏温泉酒店的感覺，賣的伴手禮品質不錯但稍貴，雖然温泉酒店都有每天150日元的温泉税，但他家有送點心之類小禮品，感覺抵平了😘
服務人員都相當熱情，日本服務業水平普遍下降的情況似乎在他家不存在，和老牌五星酒店一樣😁
早餐品質不錯，你敢信，水果還有草莓🍓，退房那天早上還送了一份煎魚，雖然我吃不太習慣，但還是十分感謝😂

IimnotLydia¡La habitación lo tiene todo! Limpia y cómoda. Puedes disfrutar de la vista desde la ventana. Además, hay un supermercado 7-Eleven a 10 minutos a pie. ¡El dueño del hotel es súper amable! 🌹🌹🌹 Creo que tendrás una experiencia inolvidable en Otaru, igual que yo. Recuerda, si quieres recogerlo, envía un correo electrónico con anticipación.

2203907****下車後可以直接轉坐市內公交車，走路過來也不遠，沿途的風景不錯，門口的小玄關可愛，衞生情況也不錯，唯一的缺點就是房間的一個窗户是紗簾，早早就被光給照醒了。自助參加住房，拍照上傳護照，然後拿鑰匙，如果是幾個人可能會更好玩，有廚房和洗衣機。適合短時間旅遊居住。

UUsuario invitadoI wasn’t exactly thrilled with the idea of a shared bathroom but the description of the facilities and furnishings intrigued me. When I checked in at Little Barrel I was immediately enthralled by the uniqueness of the decorations. It was indeed a pleasure to stay here and the numerous photos I took of the place can attest to that. And the shared bathrooms that I was so concerned about? It didn’t turn out to be a problem at all. The common bathrooms are maintained at a very high level of cleanliness and equipped with the latest toilet features.
So if like me, you are interested in staying in esoteric places you can give Little Barrel a try!

SScudLimCozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!

Felizmente, se mantuvo el equipaje en el armario de la estación de JR Otaru antes de ir al alojamiento. Cada habitación está equipada con un contenedor individual, ideal para quedarse en primavera, verano y otoño.
Atracción: Muy bien si uno está conduciendo como la mayoría de las atracciones están muy lejos de este alojamiento. A menos que sepa qué autobús para el autobús de la estación de turismo o el autobús de Mt Tengu Ropeway se parará, es mejor tomar estos autobús desde el intercambio de autobús en la estación JR Otaru, que está a unos 30 minutos a pie de la habitación.

Desventajas: A una distancia de la ciudad, hay un gran hotel cerca de la ciudad que puede ofrecer servicio de comida. No hay ventilador ni jaulas de agua caliente (las jaulas están compartidas en la recepción, el corredor tiene compartidas máquinas de agua caliente). No hay mesa en la habitación y no es conveniente poner cosas. El tipo de habitación que se ofrece es diferente de la descripción de Trip.com (sin sofá).

EEng YeowThis apartment offers a practical and comfortable stay, especially for those looking to explore Otaru on foot. We appreciated the basic utensils and cutlery provided, making it easy to prepare simple meals. The thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste was a nice touch, and the microwave was handy for quick reheats.
Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony.
The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary.
Important Considerations for Your Stay
While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions.
For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot.
