The room was spotless, cozy, and incredibly comfortable—but the highlight was definitely the private onsen in the room. Soaking in the hot spring after a long day was pure bliss. Calm, relaxing, and absolutely luxurious. And the food… WOW. Every meal felt like a masterpiece. Beautifully presented, fresh, flavorful, and full of local character. Each dish was a delight, and we looked forward to every single meal. Perfect service, perfect stay, perfect food, perfect onsen. I would come back in a heartbeat—and recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly special experience. 💖

服務：日式服務基本無處挑剔，唯獨前台與服務生英語口音交流有點障礙。旅店自帶一次接客服務，要是還有送客服務就完美了。 衞生：整潔無浮灰，所有物品疊放整齊。 温泉：和式温泉旅館等重中之重，兩湯輪換，半山腰的雪景同時俯瞰小樽，美極了，水温合適，設備齊全，就是換衣間因為年代久遠沒有擴建顯得有些狹小，不過在沒有幾個住客的旅館無傷大雅，有時可以享受到一人温泉。 餐食：帶一份晚餐與早餐，一泊二食。晚餐omakase，食材是獨屬冬季北海道的鮮美，口味因人而異，總體質量不錯；早餐經典日式早餐，清淡健康。 通勤：享受這樣富有韻味的温泉和式旅館，必不可少得忍受它不便利的交通，酒店在山上，若是沒有提前聯繫好接送，衹能打車。 設施：年代久遠卻不破敗，所有房間設施都有舒適的使用體驗。温泉區設施大部分使用體驗很好，保留傳統的用浴流程，吹風機稍顯老舊。

Loved my stay at UNWIND HOTEL & BAR OTARU. The rooms were clean and cozy, the staff were friendly, and the complimentary wine service was such a nice touch. Great location near the canal and easy to walk everywhere. Would definitely stay again.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and included two bottles of water, coffee, and tea. While the view overlooked a blank space behind the building, the quality of the bed and pillows was excellent. I found the bathroom to be slightly larger than expected. The reception area was spacious, and the staff were friendly and spoke English, which made communication easy. There were two breakfast options available: Western and Japanese. I personally chose the Japanese breakfast, priced at 3,000 Yen. The quality and portion were good. The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Otaru JR Station, as well as Sakaimachi Hondori Street and Otaru Canal. Additionally, there is a convenience store directly across the street, along with several night restaurants. I did find the price a bit high, possibly due to the Otaru Snow Light Path Festival taking place during my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its comfort and location.

It's an interesting experience as the hotel is situated at the outskirts. The onsen in the room is perfect, with a perfect seat view. Room is pretty old school and big. As the location is pretty remote, there isn't much night activity around. It is pretty kind of the hotel to offer shuttle service to Otaru JR.

Cozy Inn is superb, can easily be reached by bus or by car. Plenty of parking spaces. Room is big and clean. Close to Aeon and Daiso. Walkable to the canal if you are not driving. Check in uses machine and strictly only after 3pm, so do not come early. Overall, I highly recommend!

Me alojé en el Sho Inn una noche en Otaru. Está un poco apartado de la estación de Otaru si no conduces, pero ofrecen servicio de transporte al Canal de Otaru y a la estación de Otaru al hacer el check-out. El anfitrión, Hideshi, fue increíblemente amable, incluso se esforzó al máximo para traerme mi almohada cervical, que había olvidado accidentalmente en el alojamiento después de hacer el check-out, a la estación de Otaru a la hora que yo quería esa noche. Fue un gesto que demuestra la gran hospitalidad de los japoneses. Sin duda, recomiendo este lugar, especialmente si viajas solo o prefieres tu propio espacio privado en lugar de ir a esos hostales con camas de dos pisos y cortinas.

La ubicación es muy conveniente si estás en ski/snowboard. Es bastante centralizado a la mayoría de las pistas y sólo 30 minutos en coche a la ciudad de Otaru. Sólo a la baja no hay comida cerca del hotel tiene 2 restaurantes. El japonés era excelente, bueno con un precio razonable, desgraciadamente sólo abierto unos días por semana.

We appreciated the basic utensils and cutlery provided, making it easy to prepare simple meals. The thoughtful inclusion of toothbrushes and toothpaste was a nice touch, and the microwave was handy for quick reheats. Comfort is well-addressed with one air-conditioner and a heater, ensuring a pleasant temperature regardless of the weather. The washing machine was a huge convenience, and we had options for drying clothes either on the hanger stand inside the room or on the balcony. The location is a major highlight, being within easy walking distance to both Otaru Canal and Sakaimachi Street. We also found it convenient to have a Lawson and various eateries nearby, though it's a good idea to check their opening hours as they can vary. Important Considerations for Your Stay While the location is excellent, it's important to note that the road leading to the building is steep. This could be particularly challenging if you're driving, and we would not advise driving during winter due to the road conditions. For those with a car, there are two parking areas available. The closer one has three slots, while a slightly further option offers approximately 12 slots. Keep this in mind, especially if you prioritize a closer parking spot.

Positive: 1. Great Location decent size room with double sized beds with big space to move around compare to most other Japanese hotel 2. love the indoor parking at basement garage, especially during winter no snow cleaning required every morning. Negative: 1. lift is out of service, very inconvenient for people with big luggage, had to carry all the way up to the 3rd Floor. 2. Fake carpets on stairs, almost tripped over couple of times. 3. Owner never responds when assistance needed, upon on check-in, the pin code been given is useless because the room door are always unlocked, actual key is placed on the table in the room. Tried to contact the owner via WeChat WhatsApp line phone calls none of above responded, just seemed like the hotel is unmanned the whole time. 4. Had a little incident one morning where one of the guest parked his car right front of the parking garage door, which blocked my way out, again had to contact the owner, never responded, got no choice but to contact police for help.
