The hotel is strategically located next to gondola lift to Mt Asahidake, hence perfect location after 5 hours hike to Mt Asahidake. We reached the hotel from Asahikawa by bus 66. We stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights (halfboard). Breakfast is ok and and dinner was fantastic. Just giving my feedback, breakfast time is very short, only until 9am. Should be longer for holiday hotel. Room is very spacious. Price is also expensive but you get what you paid.

Definitely a pleasant stay! Breakfast and dinner was great too! Staff were friendly and helpful too! It is also near one of the scenic spot - Shirahige Waterfall about 4min walking distance which definitely worth visiting.

Estaba un poco descuidado, pero la habitación era muy espaciosa y estaba limpia. Fue un poco difícil comunicarse con algunos miembros del personal que no hablaban inglés, pero otras mujeres hablaban muy bien inglés, lo que fue de gran ayuda. Hay una tienda de recuerdos en el hotel que también sirve comida. El hotel está a pocos pasos de la estación y cerca de algunos restaurantes y cafeterías.

15-20 mins walk to Asahidake ropeway. Self catering with lots of space and utensils to cook. Lots of fridge and freezer space. We brought food in advance but they do have things there you can buy like Tinned fish, pasta, tinned veg, frozen veg, frozen meats, various snacks and drinks etc. It was kept super clean. The insen was great with an outdoor pool. Rooms were quite basic but were clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful too !! There's coin laundry which we needed. Also a table tennis table which was a nice addition!

Although the building of the hotel was constructed in 1997, the room was modernly decorated and very comfortable. There were 3 onsens available for guests to use and they could not be missed. The dinner and breakfast were remarkable. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was located near mount Asahi-dake. It was good to have onsen after hiking in the mountain. What’s more, the area which the hotel was located was free from light pollution. I saw a sky full of stars and it was superb.

There are no nearby convenience stores like Lawson or Family Mart, so guests need to plan ahead for their meals and supplies. This can be inconvenient, especially for larger groups with elderly or young children who may have difficulty walking long distances in the cold winter weather. Check-in ProcessTo improve the check-in experience, it would be helpful if the hotel could request guests to provide their passport details in advance. This would allow for a smoother and faster check-in, without the need for guests to go back and forth to their cars in the freezing temperatures just to take photos for the registration process. Check-out Confusion Even though the hotel had implemented the CCTV audio system to provide clear instructions, the language barrier appears to have caused some confusion for me during the check-out. This can be a common challenge, especially in more remote locations where the staff may not be as fluent in English. Breakfast Since our group requires halal food, it's understandable that we did not include the breakfast option in our package. The hotel could consider offering more diverse breakfast options to cater to different dietary needs in the future. Luggage Handling and Car Access One of the key issues we faced was the need to transport our luggage from the parking area to the unit using carts, rather than being able to drive our car closer to the entrance. This was especially challenging given the freezing -10°C temperatures at night .To improve this, it would be greatly appreciated if the hotel could allow guests to drive our cars closer to the entrance, even if just temporarily, to drop off the luggage. This would avoid the need for guests, especially those traveling with elderly or young children, to struggle with pushing heavy carts through the frigid weather. Scenery Despite the challenges, the stunning winter scenery at Auberge Ninguruforet seems to have made up for it. The -8°C temperature that morning must have created a true winter wonderland, with the beautiful snow-covered landscapes and crisp, clear skies. This picturesque setting is surely a highlight of your stay.Overall, with some improvements to the location accessibility, check-in/out procedures, and guest services, Auberge Ninguruforet could provide an even more enjoyable experience, especially for larger groups traveling with families. The breathtaking winter scenery, however, remains a major draw for this property. We will surely come again to Auberge Ninguruforet, this time leaving our larger luggage in the car and only carrying the essentials we need for our stay in our backpacks. This will allow us to avoid the hassle of transporting heavy bags through the frigid weather, and instead focus on enjoying the stunning winter scenery.By packing light and only bringing what we need for the duration of our visit, we can easily move between our car and the hotel entrance without the struggle of pushing carts through the snow. This will make the check-in and check-out process much smoother, especially for our group with elderly and young family members.Despite the minor inconveniences we experienced previously, the breathtaking winter wonderland at Auberge Ninguruforet remains a major draw for us. We look forward to returning, better prepared to handle the cold temperatures, and immersing ourselves in the serene, picturesque setting that this property offers. With a few adjustments to our packing and luggage management, we are confident our next stay will be an even more enjoyable and memorable experience.

A Convenient and Comfortable Retreat There are 4 units in this building. One parking slot per unit is provided at the corner near unit 101. This apartment offers a truly practical and comfortable base for exploring the area. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the basic utensils and cutlery for easy meal prep, and the welcome inclusion of instant slippers, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. The microwave was also super handy for quick snacks and reheats. Comfort is well-managed with one air-conditioner that kept the unit at a pleasant temperature throughout our stay. The washing machine was a huge plus, and we found the designated drying area right above it in the toilet very efficient. The separate dining table was also a nice touch, providing a comfortable space for meals. 2 dryers are outside the building. With two double beds, this unit is well-suited for small groups or families. We also enjoyed being able to link our Netflix account to the TV, which was great for unwinding in the evenings . Things to Note About the Location The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful atmosphere. While there aren't many eateries directly nearby, there are two convenience stores within easy reach. Do keep in mind that local supermarkets tend to close around 7 PM, so plan accordingly for groceries. We found the area to be quite pleasant for getting around, with not many cars on the road. This makes it particularly fun to explore the town by bicycle, and there are several bicycle rental stores available if you're keen to pedal around.

Esta es una joya en Biei. Me dio una pequeña cabaña de madera guapa en la nieve tipo de vibe. Mirando de la zona de comedor y nuestra habitación, la vista era fantástica y atractiva. Pocas cosas para destacar 1. Coste asequible. 2. Un espacio tranquilo y tranquilo donde se puede bajar y disfrutar a su propio ritmo 3. Bella vista de la granja neve 4. Sala limpia y espaciosa 5. El personal policial y pensado que puede comunicar en Mandarín es un punto más 6. El desayuno de la cocina fue muy atractivo.Gracias a la cocina que también preparaba un plato vegan para mi madre 7. La cama de hotel no es tan cómoda como otros hoteles en Japón. En general, me encantaría quedarme en este hotel y me encantaría visitar este lugar.

Reservamos una habitación para una noche. Aquí está nuestra reseña. Ubicación Este hotel se encuentra en la zona de Sounkyo. Está cerca del teleférico de Kurodake y del centro de la ciudad. Es un lugar perfecto si quieres explorar Sounkyo. Habitación La habitación, de estilo japonés, es amplia, pero encontramos una gran mancha en el techo. Parece que hubo una fuga de agua de la habitación del piso superior. El baño es muy pequeño, pero nos pareció bien. Servicio Creo que no son bienvenidos los huéspedes tailandeses. La madre de mi novia tiene una discapacidad. No puede caminar más de 10 pasos antes de caerse. Por eso, el padre de mi novia quería aparcar temporalmente en la zona de bajada de pasajeros para ayudarla a llegar al vestíbulo y dejar nuestro equipaje. Sin embargo, el personal del hotel nos lo impidió. Nos dijo que aparcáramos en el aparcamiento y que camináramos solos por el suelo resbaladizo hasta la entrada con nuestro equipaje, porque tenía que atender al grupo japonés y el autobús llegaría pronto a la zona de bajada de pasajeros. El personal de recepción tampoco nos informó sobre el onsen privado, pero como sé leer japonés, sabía que ofrecían ese servicio. Aunque queríamos reservar un onsen privado, no nos permitieron usarlo hasta las 10 p. m. Esto no se debía a que estuviera completo, sino a que no querían hablar con nosotros. Nuestro amigo japonés pudo reservar el servicio antes de las 2 p. m., a pesar de haber reservado más tarde que nosotros. Fue muy injusto, así que desistimos. Por otro lado, la cena y el desayuno fueron lo mejor del servicio. Servicios Proporcionan todos los artículos de aseo necesarios, incluyendo camisa y pantalón para los huéspedes. Sin embargo, tuvimos que traerlos nosotros mismos del vestíbulo.

The hotel description did not capture the situation enough. I was confused due to lack of room pictures. They also posted several listing for different rooms under different hotel name section. But this room is perfect for us. The location is a bit far (if you are not used to walking) from the station but it is only around 7-9 minutes walking. The surrounding area is a quiet neighborhood. The building is new and very clean. It was also warm inside even when the weather forecast said -14 celcius outside. The japanese food they served was also very good. They provided free coffee/tea and water in common area. They also let us lent their microwave. The bathroom is only one but very clean and comfy. The room has its own mini fridge, ac, and tv. If you are wondering where to stay in Biei, I definitely recommend this place.
