La ubicación es excelente, frente al Palacio Británico, y muy conveniente para llegar al casco antiguo. Las estaciones de metro están cerca, pero para ir al aeropuerto hay que caminar hasta el punto de transbordo, lo que lleva unos 20 minutos. La habitación era pequeña pero limpia.

El hotel estaba súper bien ubicado, muy limpio, decorado con gusto, todo nuevo, el buffet del desayuno excepcional, con postres caseros y de calidad. La cama cómoda y la ducha muy limpia con mampara. Además la habitación era amplia.

La estancia fue agradable en general. Las habitaciones son bastante sencillas y el aislamiento acústico podría mejorar, ya que se escucha con claridad lo que ocurre en las habitaciones contiguas. Una de las noches, por ejemplo, llegamos a oír claramente la conversación del señor de la habitación de al lado. En cuanto a la habitación, no destaca especialmente por nada en particular. Algo que llama la atención al entrar es el olor, que es bastante perceptible al principio, aunque uno termina acostumbrándose. Sospecho que proviene de las cortinas. El hotel está bien ubicado, en una zona muy tranquila. Eso sí, si planeas moverte a pie, ten en cuenta que el regreso puede ser algo exigente por las cuestas. La gran ventaja de su localización es el fácil acceso desde cualquier punto sin necesidad de atravesar el centro de la ciudad, ya que está muy bien conectado con autopistas y carreteras principales. El desayuno merece una mención especial: muy completo, con gran variedad y productos de calidad.

Choose the hotel for its proximity to the Intermodal bus interchange. We walked to all the main tourist attractions from the hotel. Bilbao is a very walkable city. What sets this hotel apart is the friendliness of the staff. The front counter team is genuinely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noemi who went out of her way to help us and gave advice on airline lost luggage. The room is spacious for our needs. The king bed is super comfortable, with just the right firmness. Linen is plush and pillows are fluffy. It has a simple yet functional tea-making facility in the room. The room came with USB charger by bedside, which is essential for today's travellers. We love the bathroom. Well-lit, full-size shower with strong water pressure. You will find the basic amenities (Toothbrush etc) in the bathroom. The cleaner did a good job with the room. The hall and public areas are all spotless. Judging based on the interior, the hotel might have been refurbished not that long ago.

La recepcionista fue muy amable y atenta; nos preguntó si necesitábamos un mapa y nos explicó brevemente la zona. La presión del agua en el baño era baja; cambiar la alcachofa de la ducha fue un poco complicado. El desayuno ofrecía una buena variedad. El Museo Guggenheim y la parada del autobús del aeropuerto están a solo diez minutos a pie. Sería aún mejor si pudieran informarnos sobre la suspensión del servicio de autobús del aeropuerto el 1 de mayo, ya que hicimos el check-out el Día del Trabajo y esperamos en la parada durante más de media hora.

I have a great stay! The location is fantastic — just a few steps from the Guggenheim Museum, which made exploring the city super convenient. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable — exactly what we were hoping for. However, there's one detail that could be clearer: the hotel advertises ”private parking,” but in reality, it's a public city parking lot located about 450 meters away. It costs €20 per day, and there is no parking directly at the hotel. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to know in advance.

A True Gem That Feels Like a 4-Star Hotel! My stay at the Sercotel Arenal Bilbao was flawless. The hotel is absolutely spotless, with lovely decor and beautiful views from the room. The entire hotel, from the elegant lobby to my room, was spotless. It was clear that the housekeeping team takes immense pride in their work, ensuring a pristine and hygienic environment that immediately made me feel at ease. The reception staff provided excellent, warm service. The breakfast was perfect—not too big, not too small, but just the right selection for an amazing start to the day. The management is clearly doing a fantastic job. With this level of quality and attention to detail, this hotel truly operates like a four-star property. I can't wait to return.

Como otros ya han mencionado, el aire acondicionado es ruidoso y no muy potente. Definitivamente se oye a la gente hablar en otras habitaciones y cómo dan portazos. Usé tapones para los oídos para dormir. Tuve que cambiar la tarjeta de la habitación tres veces porque no funcionaba o solo lo hacía por un día. La ubicación era bastante buena. El personal era amable.

Loved my stay at Hotel Arriaga! The location is absolutely perfect – right in the heart of everything and super easy to walk everywhere. The room was clean, modern, and the bed was super comfy. The staff were really lovely and gave us some great tips for local pintxo bars. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, which we appreciated. Small note for light sleepers: ask for a room away from the street, as it can get a bit lively at night (but that's part of the charm of being in a great location!). The WiFi was also a bit spotty at times. Overall, fantastic value for money. Would definitely stay here again for a casual city break! Perfect for: Travelers who want a central spot without the fancy price tag.
