VVSTA friendly lady host who fetched us from Zhongwei South railway station to the entrance of the campsite for a fee, 60 yuan. The next day we paid her another 60 yuan transportation fee to our hotel in Zhongwei city.
At the entrance, another 4WD vehicle fetched us to and from the campsite which is less than two minutes away from the main entrance.
This campsite has about 107 camps, 20 or so wooden chalets and also 20+ VIPs private individual chalets.
We booked a two-beds camp to experience the night stay in the desert.
The camp was clean and met our expectations. The shared bathrooms & toilets were also clean. The only setback was the unstable flow of the hot water, and we have informed the host about it.
Breakfast served was adequate.

We highly recommend this hotel. It’s modern and with spacious and clean rooms. And the staff is outstanding.
We were very warmly welcomed by the staff and check in went super smooth. We got lots of information and it’s easy to communicate via the hotels WeChat. The staff didn’t speak so much English, but this was not any problem with translating apps and the translate function in WeChat. The staff felt us feel very welcome and they stood out as very professional and service minded. We have travelled a lot and the staff of Huanghe Xiyu hotel made a solid impression.
The room was spacious and modern. It was very clean and nice. Good windows which could be opened. It also has mosquito nets. There were plenty water, a couple of complementary soft drinks and drip coffee and tea. Comfortable beds and several choices of pillows. The gym was also good.
The breakfast was very good. Nice selections of diffferent items. Tasty and fresh. We enjoyed freshly made noodles and dumplings. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and service minded too.
Overall a very good experience which we do recommended.

UUsuario invitadoStayed 1 night late August. 24kms and ¥40 taxi ride from ZhongweiNan fast train station. The area used to be a farm on a bend of the Yellow River. There are numerous accommodation areas, all looking similar. Apparently, one person owns all, and rents out clusters to various entities. Ours had a restaurant, but it wasn't open. For dinner and included breakfast, we went to the first restaurant on the right as you enter through the security gate from the carpark.
Peaceful part of the world. Facility had a nice little pool, but water was too cold. Too dangerous to swim in the river. As you face the river, we walked right to a glamping area and had a cold beer. There is a petting zoo type deal on the way. To the left, you eventually climb up to a mini version of the great wall. Keep walking, for a side track to the river, or up to a little pavilion after crossing a road.
+ points, well set up, peaceful and secure.
- points, zero English and most frustrating experience I've had in China even with apps both ways. We all travel with a price to quality/experience ratio. In this instance, far too high, and I wouldn't be back or recommend this place

La ubicación de la tienda es buena, está cerca de muchos lugares de atracción, es conveniente para el transporte, hay muchas tiendas cercanas, hay mucho plato.
Las instalaciones están completas y los suministros están listos.
La habitación está limpia, la cama está limpia, no hay aire, el camarote está limpio, el camarote ordena la habitación a tiempo todos los días, y es bueno.
Tiene un estacionamiento automático, un estacionamiento gratuito y una salida ordenada
El desayuno es gratuito, la calidad es también alta, la variedad de flores y el sabor es loable.
Agradezco al hotel, se recomienda a los amigos, deseo al hotel que se vuelva a incentivar y suba a un piso.

WWxt37ong&#R2各方面都給了我很多的驚喜感 院落式的建築安靜舒適讓人很放鬆 黃河的美景在房間內就可以欣賞到 衞生乾淨房間內部裝飾也很有特色 但最好的就是服務了 酒店屬於沙坡頭景區管理 所以門票可以給予優惠 房間還包含了三頓餐食 關鍵讓我沒想到的是標準很高 沒有一點因為是房費套餐就隨意糊弄的意思 菜品很豐富味道也在線 還有就是小院的工作人員每位都很優秀非常感謝 真的是很用心的讓每個人都喜歡小院和沙坡頭景區 不僅是小院的工作人員沙坡頭其他的工作人員也都很好 會告訴你如何遊玩最省心省力不浪費時間 而且景區的項目每個可玩性都很高 就我個人來説吃住玩都是驚喜的 希望下次和家人一起來多住上幾天

UUsuario invitadoI absolutely loved this place! I’m writing this as a foreigner who went with 4 other foreigners for a special birthday weekend. First, the service. We have good Chinese proficiency, but those with limited to none will be fine. Most of the communication and coordination is handled via WeChat - which can auto translate. 东 “Dong” was our main contact. He rocked and gave us a real experience. He shuttled us in the sand jeep, gifted me a cake for my birthday, and was just an overall cool guy. Thanks! Second, the location and accommodations. If you stay near Desert Star, there’s a lot of people and campsites - that area seems like a bit of a tourist funnel. This area is located in the REAL sand dunes area. Further North, you actually cross into Inner Mongolia. The separation and distance is worth it. Makes for brighter stars and a more authentic experience. Third, the food. They were able to coordinate a whole lamb to be roasted for my birthday. It was absolutely extraordinary. The sides for it were some of the best I had on the entire trip - they have some skilled chefs there. This place has great reviews, and it’s worth it. I do recommend this to foreigners, and I hope I can return one day.

VVixieThe owner contacted us and picked up us up from the Zhongwei Nan Station.
It is pretty far away from the Zhongwei's downtown, and Tengger Desert is actually already counted as Inner Mongolia.
We came there at the low season, and the weather was quite freezing. Luckily the owner had informed us about the weather, so we changed our booking in time.
Even with a heater the room was still pretty cold. I can't imagine if we booked a tent.
The scenery was beautiful enough. Not too many events because there were not many tourists, thus we had a good relaxing time there.
The breakfast was simple ane satisfying. We enjoyed the meals.
The owner also gave us some souvenirs when we left the camp.
Note: We wished that there were a sweeper in the room. We would carry some sand in every time we got into the room. It would be great if there's a mat in front of the bathroom.

UUsuario invitadoLa estancia esa noche durante las vacaciones del Día Nacional fue bastante especial. El olor particular es difícil de reducir incluso con dos ventanas completamente abiertas. Cualquiera con un poco de sentido común sabe que esto no es un incidente aislado. Además, tengo algo de experiencia en gestión hotelera. En ese momento, tenía muchas ganas de escribir una mala reseña, pero la actitud de la gerencia del hotel cambió para mejor. Al principio, se excusaron diciendo que no se habían dado cuenta y que era un caso aislado. Más tarde, se mostraron dispuestos a corregirlo (incluso enviaron una bolsa de bayas de goji como disculpa y ofrecieron no cobrar la tarifa de la habitación). Como huésped, estoy dispuesto a dedicar tiempo a hablar sobre la experiencia de mi habitación con el hotel. Además de expresar mi pésima experiencia, también espero que el hotel valore y adopte una actitud más responsable, trate bien a cada cliente y mantenga su imagen de marca.
Tras salir de la tienda, el gerente envió un mensaje para disculparse y expresó su determinación de realizar cambios, lo cual es digno de reconocimiento. No acepté un reembolso completo del precio de la habitación. Finalmente, tras un descuento, el hotel sólo me cobró tres billetes grandes más algo de cambio.
