If you're seeking a journey that feels less like tourism and more like a soulful embrace—let me share a secret: Anshun, China, in early spring, is magic. And at its heart? A sanctuary called Casa Lilium.
The Cherry Blossoms
I arrived March 12th chasing online glimpses of pink blooms. What I found surpassed dreams: delicate petals dancing against karst mountains, quiet paths where time softened. Poetry in motion. But the true bloom wasn't only in the trees—it was in the people.

Casa Lilium redefines hospitality. Serene elegance rivals any 5-star boutique—yet with warmth no chain could replicate. Every corner whispers thoughtful curation: crisp linens, ambient lighting, spotless spaces that feel both luxurious and lived-in.
The Heart of It All: Our Landlady
Words fail, but I'll try: she is heartfelt, organized, effortlessly kind. When I arrived shivering in Anshun's 8°C March air, she appeared minutes later with a soft cardigan and knowing smile: ”For you, so you can enjoy our beauty comfortably.” That small gesture made me feel profoundly seen.
When I mentioned wanting to capture Anshun through video, she acted. Within hours, she connected me with a talented local photographer—a true artist. The footage? Breathtaking. She gifted me memories I'll hold forever.
A European's Truth: ”I Felt Home”
The subtle loneliness of being far from familiar faces simply dissolved here. Language barriers softened through smiles and genuine care. Cultural distance? Bridged by shared tea, laughter, and her pride in showing me her Anshun.
I didn't feel like a foreigner. I felt like a guest who'd been warmly awaited.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room is new and modern. However, shower room tiling can be improve further for one of the family room toilet. But the other toilets in the other rooms are good.
The location is good, near the second entrance of Huang Guo Shu Waterfall which only opens for day trip. It has MacDonald & bubble tea shop nearby for comfort food. However, it is a 20 min walk from the main ticketing entrance for foreigners for day and evening tickets. Though it is quite a distance, but it is better than getting stuck in the heavy traffic during this peak season. Talking a stroll, passing by the restaurants are ok.
The owner is fantastic — they assisted us with one parcel collection from Taobao, which was a huge help since collecting them ourselves would have been inconvenient. They also send our family out to the main road as our 9 seater big bus is not able to enter the small lane to the homestay. To walk to the main road, there is a staircase which is about 1 min walk up. Ok for young and young seniors, but may not be very suitable for very old people with walking difficulties.
Overall, this is a highly recommended stay for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a host who goes the extra mile!

YYuyuanEste fue el hotel que más me gustó de mi viaje a Guizhou; sin duda, se merece su reputación como marca de primera categoría durante varios años consecutivos. La arquitectura se integra a la perfección con el entorno, y la piscina azul celeste realza sutilmente el paisaje. El desayuno fue abundante, la cena deliciosa y las vistas desde la azotea, simplemente espectaculares. Pasé aquí la noche más feliz de mi viaje a Guizhou.

UUsuario invitado房間很大很乾凈，提供一次性毛巾，甚至連枕頭都有四款可以選！我們入住時剛好對面房間退房，看到保潔阿姨把整個地板都拖了一遍。前台小管家們的服務響應也很及時，去景區遊玩還提供免費的一次性雨衣、鞋套。向前台小姐姐諮詢附近的美食，小姐姐也不厭其煩地根據不同種類給我們推薦，最後還直接開車帶我們去了。來回景區可以提供接送服務，早上七點到晚上七點，司機大哥隨叫隨到，真的解決了很大的交通問題！選擇入住銘晟居酒店，我真的超滿意，為這次行程大大加分！

El hotel organizó un servicio de transporte a la zona, lo cual fue muy conveniente. Las instalaciones del hotel son bastante buenas y hay estacionamiento gratuito en la entrada. La limpieza del hotel también es aceptable. El desayuno es de comida china, y la sopa de pollo es especialmente destacable: deliciosa e inolvidable, realmente fantástica.

UUsuario invitadoLa ubicación es absolutamente perfecta. A 5 minutos de la entrada a Huanggoushu. La limpieza de este hotel es sin duda una de las mejores cosas que he notado en mis viajes por China. Pero lo mejor de todo es el servicio. El anfitrión es una de las personas más amables y serviciales que he conocido. No dudó en ayudarme en todo, tanto a Huanggoushu como a la estación de autobuses. Gracias a su consejo, cambié mi tren de Guanling a Kunming por uno posterior, y si no lo hubiera hecho, habría gastado muchísimo dinero en un taxi. Muchísimas gracias, querido anfitrión. ¡Espero volver algún día!

JJiangshiyefengkuangEl hotel está increíblemente cerca del área escénica de Huangguoshu. Si bien es un poco caro, el servicio fue excepcionalmente cómodo. El hotel ofrece servicio de transporte, está limpio y el entorno es muy agradable; es especialmente tranquilo para pasear por la mañana y por la tarde. Te despertarás con el canto de los pájaros. El desayuno también es muy bueno. Para el almuerzo y la cena, se puede contratar un conductor que te lleve al pueblo para disfrutar de una gran variedad de deliciosos aperitivos. Es una opción muy cómoda para parejas y familias. ¡Me encantó! 🙂🙂🙂

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel felt very new and well maintained. The room was equipped with both USB ports and Hong Kong–style power outlets. The heater worked extremely well, and we stayed comfortably warm at night even in winter. I didn’t notice any cigarette smell during our stay. The hotel also provided free shuttle rides to and from the Huangguoshu Scenic Area before 5 p.m. The breakfast was better than at the other hotels we stayed at. The staff gave clear directions to nearby scenic spots, and the hotel restaurant served decent food at reasonable prices. Overall we very much enjoyed our stays at the hotel.

RRaghunath C G NairShengfeng Hotel was our first stop in Anshun City and marked the beginning of our 10-day journey through the truly amazing Guizhou Province. From check-in to check-out, our experience was consistently pleasant, and we stayed at the hotel for three comfortable nights. We are especially grateful to Xiao Wang at the front desk, whose engaging personality, accommodating attitude, and exemplary service quality made a genuine difference to our stay. His professionalism and warmth set the tone right from the start.
The hotel’s location was ideal for our needs. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well-equipped with all essential amenities, and exceptionally good value for the very reasonable price. Despite being centrally located, the room was quiet and peaceful, allowing us to enjoy restful sleep every night. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide variety of options that catered well to different tastes and provided a great start to each day.
This hotel is particularly well suited for overseas travellers, as its location offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the city and experience everyday life like a local. In addition to visiting the nearby Gufu Street night market, with its tempting array of culinary delights, we also explored the morning market close to the hotel. There, we interacted with street vendors who were friendly, welcoming, and happy to engage. We were genuinely touched by the warmth and openness of the people of Anshun. Speaking some Mandarin certainly helped us connect more meaningfully with the locals and enriched the experience even further.
This Hotel also served as an excellent base for visiting some truly incredible attractions, including the majestic Huangguoshu Waterfall, the historic Tunpu medieval army garrison, and the world-famous, record-breaking Huajiang Bridge. Each excursion was easily accessible and added to the overall convenience of staying here.
Will we stay at this hotel again on our next visit to Anshun? Absolutely, without hesitation. Our sincere thanks once again to Xiao Wang for making our stay so memorable.
