As for the ***agement, the government is keeping tabs on foreigners asking for all the documents for legally entering the country. It’s really hostile for ***agement to act like immigration officers. And then bothering again and again because they made a mistake in filing some government intimations forms about a foreigner being here. No other hotel system in other states have bothered me about my documents even after I entered this country legally.
They placed us in a corner and forgot about us. Room service only showed up after 3rd day, room cleaning.
Overall, this place is just a fancy looking place with poor services. FYI their food was horrible, it tasted like rubbish, weird blend of spices that didn’t even felt like Indian food. I ordered Gobi ***churian and some fries that arrived cold.
Outside food is not allowed, so I had to walk a quarter of a km away in the cold so be prepared.
4 star resort with 2 star service.

Positives - Comfortable beds. Nice views. Excellent dinner and breakfast.
Negatives - Wifi didn’t work. Service was painfully slow.

Hotel location is good......Common areas are well maintained however the rooms are not as reflected in photograph on the website....Restaurant is not well ***aged although the staff is good but I feel there is a lot of scope for improvement. ...Buffet breakfast is good....Biryani taste was good....Food in general was good...Had to wait for more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to transfer my luggage from room during checkout.....There was a lot of difference between the price as mentioned on trip.com and directly with hotel.....Trip.com was less for the same Privilege Suite....

Was so good to dine at sterling Ooty…..full of chillness….very good ambience too….had delicious food items in the afternoon followed by tea in the evening…..such a good moments at sterling to recollect……good food quality and staff service were so good…..enjoyed well

We've stayed at Sterling Elk Hill ***y times. It is located up on a hill with great views. The property is well maintained and Sterling team does a great job of making the guests comfortable. Restaurant and in room dining is good and there are play areas and activities to keep kids busy. Great option for a comfortable stay.

This property is the Queen among the resorts situated at the Elk hills,Ooty.Wonderful rooms facing the Ooty Valley,giving 180 degree view of the valley.Ideal place for artists,poets ,aiding them to follow their passion to sit back in the room and write ,read,paint their imagination while enjoying a coffee with the view.Kids friendly resort offering a variety of indoor and outdoor games.Green lawns,wonderful variety of flaura around the property.They have a spa too. Harmaan was a sweet ,smiling,bubly lady,attended and served us tasty dishes at Nilgiri restaurant. The resort Wifi is very strong,works at all nooks and corners of the property.Enjoyable vacation here...a must visit.

Our stay was good with Sterling elk hill but we asked repeatedly for extra room as we were here with Both my parents and In laws...It was too much congested...The food was amazing as well the staff...They were always ready to serve...to mention few Har***, Boy from Kolkata...Chef and other staff.... Thank You...
