Medio ambiente: Muy bien, frente a Manhattan, se puede ver el Empire State Building, la terminal del ferry está en la puerta, cuesta 10 dólares ir a Manhattan, muy conveniente. También puedes ver la vista al mar mientras desayunas, lo cual es realmente agradable. Higiene: OK, la ropa de cama también es buena. Instalaciones: Un poco antiguas, pero muy buenas. Siempre es difícil conectarse a Internet, lo cual es muy problemático. La persona de recepción me ayudó a iniciar sesión, pero no funcionó. Servicio: muy bueno. Especialmente el servicio de desayuno.

YOU CANNOT WALK HERE! I repeat: if you do not have a car, there is NO way to access the hotel by walking or public transit. Nowhere on the Hilton or ******* websites did it say that you can ONLY get to the hotel by car because it is surrounded by highways. Originally, Google Maps informed us it would only be a 7 minute walk from the nearest bus stop to the hotel but that is because it wanted us to hop the fence and climb down a STEEP hill to enter the hotel from the back parking lot. Even if we wanted to walk the long way around the trees separating us from the hotel just 200 feet away, we would have had to cut across multiple lanes of highway at night with our luggages. With such ridiculous infrastructure around it, the hotel should provide a shuttle service from bus stops. Their existing shuttle service is a joke because it is only available from 12 - 7 PM and FROM the hotel TO the bus stop by the George Washington Bridge but NOT BACK TO THE HOTEL! The room itself was fine, which is why this is not a 1-star review.

Al principio fue un poco confuso porque Homewood Suites y Hampton Inn figuraban en la misma propiedad. Pero nos alegramos de haber elegido Hampton, ya que era más barato pero también compartía las mismas comodidades. La tarifa era decente y acorde a la calidad. Estaba un poco apartado para llegar a la ciudad, pero el autobús era accesible y se supone que solo toma unos 30 minutos aproximadamente llegar a la ciudad.

El hotel acaba de ser decorado y alcanza el pico de los turistas a Nueva York. La vivienda más barata de Manhattan era de 700 dólares, sin que incluya una tarifa de estacionamiento, encontró este hotel, conveniente, precio de 170 dólares.

Las camas son cómodas y nuestra habitación estaba muy tranquila. Las instalaciones de baño son de buena calidad y las toallas son espesas y fluffy. El hotel dispone de una cafetería y dos tazas de té. El café está disponible en el lobby de la mañana. Actualmente se están renovando las áreas públicas del hotel. El hotel dispone de un agradable patio en la parte trasera y de lugares donde podrá caminar.

Pros: -Check out is at noon -Location is very accessible -There is a restaurant on the first floor of the hotel so you do not have to leave the premises if you do not have to. -The front of the building and the lobby look presentable. Cons: -My TV only had 7 stations (local over the channel stations only) even though the guide lists dozens of channels. I contacted the front desk on Sat morning to let them know, I was told the maintenance guy does not come in until 09:30. I was told he would come take a look at it when he arrived. 10:20 still no response or maintenance guy. I called again. I was offered to be moved from room 254 to 154. I told the lady I will prefer a room on any floor except the first floor. I was told no other room will be available until after 1pm when the rooms have been checked out and cleaned. I then told them I would take room 154, that when I was told that the TV issue was not ”really a maintenance or TV issue, it had to do with their cable provider” and they can not guarantee that I will be able to watch more channels in any other room. I was too shocked to even give them a response. -The carpets in the hallways are filthy with visible dirt and bleach marks ( I have many pictures). They also have a strong musky smell to them. -One of the elevators worked perfectly but the 2nd elevator really smells like something died in there. Just sad. -The only floors with ice machines are floors 2 and 4. -Plot twist- both ice machines on floors 2 and 4 were not working! -The best looking part of the hotel is the front and the lobby, everything else is dilapidated. - I overheard a lady asking why she was told she had to pay for breakfast when it is advertised that breakfast was included, someone was explaining to her that breakfast was included if you paid for breakfast with your reservation. I do not even know what that means but I never ate breakfast there. I was so disappointed about my stay that on my way out, I had to tell the ladies at the front desk that the management really needs to do better. It appears no one cares, they just care about booking rooms and not updating or cleaning the hotel.

My family and I stayed over Labor day weekend- one night to attend a family wedding. We took one of the most expensive rooms- a suite- because we were 4 in a room and all the other rooms had been taken by the bridal party and other travelers. When we arrived the elevator was out our entire stay. We had to walk up and down the stairs in our dresses and high heels. Although we took a suite and the hotel was aware how many people were staying in the room there were pillows, blankets and towels for only 2 people. They brought up more when we called the hotel desk. This was just not what we expected when taking an expensive room. The fact it was Labor Day weekend is no excuse. They appear to have been short staffed because I tried to speak to a manager and none were around. I was told to call back to see if they would make an accommodation on the room rate. I called the managers several times and there isn't even an answering machine. They simply never pick up. I wrote several emails to Holiday Inn Corporate and also received no response. The hotel itself is clean enough. The suite is decent enough if they stock it properly. But there is a lack of help and if you encounter a situation as I did you won't get satisfaction. I think this has soured me on Holiday Inn.
