Realmente solo fueron 5 horas de estancia, entre que el vuelo a Nairobi llegó de madrugada con algo de retraso y esa mañana tenía un vuelo a Samburu. El traslado desde el aeropuerto lo concerté con el propio hotel por no complicarme en exceso y me costó 25$. De noche y sin tráfico, como 20 minutos para llegar o quizás algo menos. El hotel se supone que es de 5*, aunque entiendo que será por los servicios que tenga, porque realmente alguna estrella me pareció que se le había caído o quizás me pareció algo anticuado. Tiene bastantes habitaciones. La habitación que yo había reservado a través de Central de Reservas era una individual superior con desayuno incluido, por 80€. Era bastante amplia, con moqueta, aire acondicionado, mesa de escritorio, un sillón, TV de pantalla plana, botella de agua gratuita, conjunto para preparar café y té, caja de seguridad, minibar, armario grande, clavijas eléctricas para conectores europeos. El cuarto de baño, también amplio, tenía ducha y bañera, champú, gel, pañuelos de papel, secador de pelo, etc... Respecto al desayuno, era de 6 a 10:30, de tipo buffet, aunque los camareros iban sirviendo lo que se pedía. Me pareció flojo para un hotel de esa categoría, aunque quizás al ir justo cuando abrió no estaba todavía completo. También había wifi gratuita en el hotel. En resumen, el hotel bien aunque apenas si pude aprovecharlo un poco en condiciones.

Nosotros nos quedamos solamente una noche del 12 al 13 de Julio ya que solo descansamos antes de viajar a Tanzania. Después de investigar de la vida en Nairobi, íbamos un poco preocupados por la seguridad sin embargo nuestro taxista nos comentó que estuviéramos tranquilos ya que era una zona segura por el hecho de que estábamos cerca de las oficinas de gobierno. Y fue así como nos sentimos, al día siguiente por la mañana fuimos caminando a una cuadra a un supermercado para comprar artículos que nos hacían falta y después caminamos por desayuno al Capital Coffe Lounge que esta también a media cuadra el hotel y nos sentimos seguros. El hotel es tal cual como lo muestran las fotos. El cuarto tenía muy buen espacio (1 queen bed/stanley room). Adicional el servicio es muy bueno (recepción, meseros, maletas, etc). Solicitamos early check in y afortunadamente el recepcionista nos apoyo en todo momento. No es un hotel lujoso sin embargo cumple con su función de recibir un excelente servicio y poder descansar tranquilo.

Overall it was ok. Pros, good location, the staff are friendly and the room is decent. Cons, the reception is inefficient and check in takes longer than it should. It’s like we are first customer that has ever checked in. Lots of confusion. My ac did not work. I had to call 3 times to reception before someone turned up. They said the ac does not work here. Did not bother to check anything because it seem normal for the ac not to work. I told him it’s very hot in this room and I can’t sleep. Also ac is basic especially if you are calling yourself a 5 star hotel. He shrugged and said I can get you a fan. Got very little sleep and I think they don’t service the ac to save on electricity. It’s a poor attitude from the management especially for a “5 Star” hotel. It’s more like a 3 star. Better places to go for the same price. Will not return.

Gran servicio de recepción. Eran complacientes con el check-in temprano y el check-out un poco tarde dependiendo de las vacantes. No revisé las instalaciones. En cuanto al desayuno estaba bien. aunque no hay muchas variedades. De todos modos, estamos allí para quedarnos en la habitación. La habitación tiene el tamaño perfecto y es acogedora para que descansemos. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente a todos si están buscando un hotel en el área de CBD.

Es un buen hotel de ciudad para pasar la noche, antes o después de hacer el safari. La habitación es comoda, muy limpia y bastante silenciosa para estar en medio del caos. Nos hospedamos en este hotel y fue imposible dormir hasta altas horas de la madrugada. Justo en la planta inferior de nuestra habitación se celebró una fiesta de cumpleaños que hizo imposible descansar. Llamamos a recepción para pedir explicaciones y saber cuándo terminaría el ruido (voces de gente por los pasillos y música a todo volumen). Se nos dijo que se irían enseguida (llamamos a las once de la noche) pero no fue cierto, aún se escuchaba follón a las 2:30 horas de la madrugada. Inexplicable que un hotel de estas características permita estas cosas.

The apartment is spacious, location is perfect and great ambience. The gardens were beautiful and the staff are friendly. However being second-time guests, we never thought the services had deteriorated so much since the last time. First, we were given stained beddings and towels. This is a NO NO for hotels, especially a 4-star one. The water pressure in the house was very low especially downstairs and my husband and I had to go shower in the children's bathroom. This is not to mention that eventually, the water in the shower would go cold after 10 minutes. We were here for one month and this was never addressed even after reporting it to the reception. The washing machine has no drier so we were given a small line to hang clothes but they couldn't dry since it was the cold season. When we reported they took our clothes to dry at their laundry and one time they returned our clothes with chewing gum stuck. On our last day 20th July, there was no water in the apartment with no solution in sight. Talking about the restaurant, their service is really slow taking even up to almost one hour to deliver in the room or serve. The menu is also limited. Generally, the apartment needs to be refurbished because at one time the bathroom mirror fell off and almost injured my daughter. Additionally, the upstairs toilet was unstable and would slightly shake when sat on. There was also evidence of smashed mosquitoes on the walls, ceilings, and mosquito nets. For a family of four, there were only 4 spoons and very few cups and glasses. Honestly, you can add a few more. I must mention that for the wifi it is rather weak and only worked in particular spots of the house. The gym equipment is not in good working condition, an example being the socket of the treadmill at one point started smoking. The TV in the room is not an up-to-date one. The reception could be more efficient though I guess they were doing the best within their power. Reading the reviews of other guests I'm left wondering why we are the only ones with this kind of review. Did we just get poor service for the same rates or are there superior services for other guests? Sorry, but I don't recommend this facility unless things change.

Whilst I couldn't fault the charming staff or the accommodation, the food left a lot to be desired. I did raise my disappointment with the senior management but was left saddened by the lack of response other than an email. No face to face though I did make myself available during my stay. Anne and her team the the outdoor restaurant were terrific and really tried hard to discover and rectify the issues, but the only verbal reply I got was 'it will sort it out over time once the kitchen gets to grips with the new menu.' In my humble view if the kitchen team are not up to speed with the new menu / dishes, guests should not be regarded as tasters, paying for the privilege of determining the kitchens staff ability to recreate the new menu dishes. I really like staying at this hotel but I want to look forward to my meals without almost feeling embarrassed to comment. I am grateful to Anne for her interest as to hearing honest feedback. I hope the senior management listen to her, she is in my opinion a credit to the company and they need to hear her. I still rate this hotel highly, but it has some issues it needs to address.

No sé cómo decirlo bien. Cuando reservé una habitación, la introducción de Ctrip en el hotel tenía más de 50 metros cuadrados, pero cuando llegué al hotel, descubrí que la habitación tenía solo unos 12 metros cuadrados. La diferencia fue bastante diferente a la descripción. Solo hay dos tipos de habitaciones en este hotel. Uno tiene solo unos 12 metros cuadrados, y el otro tiene más de 90 metros cuadrados en dos habitaciones (fui a verlo más tarde) ... Así que lo dejé pasar por 5 días, ¡jajaja! Terminaré la habitación que reservé. Más tarde, Ctrip pagó 80 yuanes, pero su plataforma es de hecho más barata que otras plataformas, resuelve problemas rápidamente y tiene una buena actitud.

Khweza es un gran hotel de presupuesto en el centro de Nairobi. El personal es muy amigable y útil. Un personal incluso utilizó su propio Mpesa para conseguirnos los billetes de tren porque no tuvimos acceso. Muy grande. El techo es maravilloso y un gran punto de venta. La cama y la ducha estaban bien. Todo estaba limpio. La comida estaba bien, tomó un poco de tiempo para servir incluso cuando ordenaba el desayuno la noche anterior. El lobby es bienvenido. Nos quedamos por seis días y fuimos a un safari 3-day, viajes de día, etc. y todo nuestro objeto se quedó a salvo. Si nos hubiera dormido todo el tiempo, probablemente habríamos cambiado las habitaciones delanteras alanteras, ya que las habitaciones delanteras son un poco altas en la noche con camiones que van por allí. Volveríamos si volviéramos a buscar una estancia limpia y amistosa en Nairobi.

Es un buen hotel como punto de partida de tu viaje a Africa. Está a escasos 10-15 minutos del aeropuerto, lo cual se agradece tras un largo viaje en avión. Además, al estar fuera del centro, no es preciso meterse en medio del insufrible tráfico de Nairobi. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y tienen una piscina muy agradable. Hay un restaurante tipo american bbq dentro del propio hotel. También un centro comercial justo al lado, sin ningún problema para acceder.
