Mykonos Waves Beach House & Suites

We absolutely loved staying at Mykonos Waves. We are a family of four, so our teens slept in the front area, and the adults had a private bedroom. The hotel is not in the Old Port area, so it's more quiet, which we liked. However, we had transportation available for when we did want to enjoy the old town. Ornos Beach is 10 minute walk (it is a great beach). The property manager, Philippa, was incredible. She made us feel very welcome, and was quick with replies for any questions we had. She is a true gem and we hope that her hard work is recognized. The property driver, Yorgos (George), was also really nice and took us around town. We are very happy to have stayed at Mykonos Waves. Thank you to Philippa and Yorgos for helping us have a very memorable experience in Mykonos!

Excellent venue if you are looking for a hotel away from all the party / noise / crowds. It’s also in a safe and walkable area with grocery store, bakery, many nearby restaurant options and beachfront bars/restaurants. The staff (Filippa & George & cleaning staff) are so welcoming and friendly. They all work so hard to keep the property very clean and perfect condition. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable bed. Our suite also had a private patio which overlooked the water, very romantic and perfect for enjoying the complimentary breakfast that is delivered to your door. Waves is about a 10min safe walk to Ornos beach which you can sit in the sand, swim & rent sun beds. You can also simply take the water taxi from Ornos beach to multiple other southern beaches. This is a superb way to see more if the island without renting a car plus you get many more picturesque moments. Single beach round trip €15 each person or unlimited beach round trips €20 each person. We chose to only go to SUPER paradise beach for 1 day and this was an excellent choice. Read my review about THALAS TAVERN & BEACH. This was much much cheaper than alternatives and excellent food/sun beds at reasonable prices. Ornos and Super are southern so it’s not windy. Mykonos is a windy island (mostly from north during our stay), it is famous for this but most of the wind we found cooled us down from all the sunny heat so I would not complain about this at all…This hotel sits at a famous windsurfing and kite boarding beach…relax at the pool and watch these people launch off the waves 20-40 feet in the air. It’s amazing!!! This hotel even offers complimentary transfers (pick up / drop off) from and to the airport, port and their other hotel locations which is closer to downtown Mykonos if you want to your the streets and party. We stayed 4 unforgettable nights here and loved every moment of this part of our Greece adventure.

Great location. Food, beach and access to public transportation. Easy 10min ride to Chora (old town) and 7min walk to Ornos. Korfus beach is in front of the hotel. Fantastic staff- Filippa is a great hostess/front desk personnel. She’s very personable and friendly. A

Excellent hotel, location and staff are so friendly and helpful. Filippa and George get a 10 star! The hotel is extremely clean and in safe area within walking distance to Ornos beach, many restaurants (on and off beach), bars and bakeries. Grocery store is also walking distance. You don’t need to leave this area if you want a chill time. But if you do, there is a bus stop nearby if you want to head to town. The hotel pool is an awesome spot to chill out at and catch the sun and watch people wind surfing. The breakfast is great and delivered to your room. Things to do… -head into Mykonos town to walk the tight alleys, shop, catch the sunset, eat/drink/party at NAGRITA BAR!!! Go there and make sure to walk the waterway through Little Venice it’s amazing for photos. -go to Ornos beach for the sun, swim or dinner/drinks -take a day or two and take the water taxi from Ornos beach to SUPER Paradise Beach. The water taxi is my recommendation as you get to see a lot of the southern part of the island in an inexpensive fun way…€20 for multiple drop offs or €15 for single beach (total for round trip)

We loved staying at Mykonos Beach Waves. Filippa was amazing and helpful. The property was awesome and felt comfortable with a great vibe. Very clean. Definitely do the breakfast. It was an awesome experience to eat on the patio and listen to and see the ocean.

dear traveler, mykonos waves was one of the BEST stays i‘ve ever had!! And i had many mykonos waves is at a very nice location, 5min with the quad away from the city. It has a beach in front of it (really like 30sek walk) for free, because it doesnt have umbrellas but u can take your towel and have a nice stay at the very blue beach. The rooms are very big and sweet. It has everything in it! But the biggest YES to go to mykonos waves is the manager: FILIPA ＜3 so much love for her. She really does everything to make your holidays unforgettable. We didnt had any reservations when we came to myko & filipa did all of them. She recommended very nice restaurants, locations and beaches. We never regret listening to her. And her driver that picks you up at the airport is also very very nice and kind. If i go back to mykonos i will for sure go back to filipa. Trust me - u will not regret it. At the evening when the sun goes down u will have such a romantic vibe in mykonos waves. Looking out if the window will make u happy because its so beautiful there. Hopefully see u soon filipa!

Loved our stay. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful, they gave off happy, relaxing holiday vibes and made sure we had a wonderful time. The location was great, a short walk to Ornos (which had a lovely beach) or a water taxi from Ornos to many exquisite beaches. I was worried about the wind reading reviews before we left, but to be honest the whole of Mykonos was windy the week we were there. There is a supermarket close by as well as two bakeries. Stunning pool area with comfortable loungers. Highly recommended

The transfer smoothly picked us up from the airport and we were greeted by Dimitri who was so friendly and full of tips about where to go, where to eat and how to get around! Fillipa checked us in and discussed the island with us. She helped us book taxis, restaurants and was genuinely lovely and helpful. We had our own private suite at the bottom of the hotel. It was cleaned everyday, with fully restocked coffee pods and clean towels. We had our own private garden which got the sun all day round. The hotel pool was gorgeous and sun beds were always available. The location was great, around a 5 / 10 minute walk from Ornos Beach and the bus stop. The bus is 2 euros into Mykonos Town. Ornos beach was full of lovely restaurants! Shop and bakery around the corner. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
