El desayuno es bueno, pero antes de la Corona-Times fue definitivamente mejor. Los cuatro días en el Bayerischer Hof fueron el momento más cómodo que tuve este año. Y ahora planeo volver allí en diciembre - el mismo hotel.

Schade, dass das Hotel derart schlecht beschildert ist. Als Ortsunkundiger muss man schon ganz konzentriert unterwegs sein, damit man den Hoteleingang findet, denn eigentlich sieht es immer noch wie die Bank aus, die das Hotel einmal war. Innen überzeugt eine luxuriöse Innenarchitektur, die seinesgleichen sucht; die Räumlichkeiten sind hochwertig und modern, ohne opulent oder kalt zu wirken. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber leider hatten wir wahrscheinlich das Wochenende der Negativauslese erwischt: In der Bar wird man gesetzt; das Personal merkt aber nicht, dass man die Leute etwas verteilen könnte, anstatt alle Tische nebeneinander zu besetzen. So kommt keine Privatsphäre zustande. Die Barspeisen sind sehr vielfältig und von höchster Güte; wer aber satt werden möchte, geht besser ins Restaurant; die Portionen sind mickrig. Der Frühstücksservice war zu Beginn sehr aufmerksam, das Konzept des Buffetts ist allerdings zu überdenken: entweder ist alles bedient und entsprechend der Service am Tisch, oder es hat eben ein Buffett, das in seiner ganzen Vielfalt zur Verfügung steht. Die Mischform, zu der man mangels Alternative greifen muss, macht es nicht einfach. Eine ganz tolle Brotauswahl wird durch das minimalistische Kaltspeisen Buffett zunichte gemacht: 3 Scheiben Kochs*****en und 6 daumengrosse Salametti resp einen Anschnitt Blauschimmelkäse, einen ebenso kleinen Weissschimmelkäse und eine völlig vertrocknete Scheibe Halbhartkäse war die komplette Auswahl. Daraufhin haben wir uns entschieden, das Käsesortiment à la carte zu bestellen. Auf diese Bestellung haben wir dann gut 20 Minuten gewartet. Das check-out war ebenfalls äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend; auf unseren Wagen (”Ein Mitarbeiter ist bereits unterwegs, um Ihren Wagen zu holen”) haben wir dann allerdings auch warten müssen, so dass sich unsere Reise kumuliert um eine halbe Stunde verzögert hat. Schade, in so einem prunkvollen Haus hätten wir einfach mehr erwartet. Im Wissen, dass die Eröffnung erst Ende Oktober war, sind wir überzeugt, dass, wenn sich alle Prozesse eingeschliffen haben werden, 5* in der Bewertung locker erreicht werden können. PS: als Gast empfiehlt es sich, ein Zimmer nicht strassenseitig zu buchen; die Fenster sind miserabel schallisoliert.

Me gusta demasiado este hotel. Se encuentra a 15 minutos a pie de la estación central de trenes. Cruce la calle peatonal. No tome un taxi. Se puede acceder a él mediante la navegación del teléfono móvil. Es un hotel de estilo muy europeo. El ambiente, el servicio y el desayuno son muy buenos. Muy recomendable. Hay una parada de taxis a la entrada del hotel, lo que facilita el desplazamiento en taxi. El hotel en sí está a la salida de la calle peatonal, ¡las compras también son invencibles!

This fairly small private hotel is a joy. The rooms are extremely well appointed and hold one great advantage over similar hotels in the vicinity of Munchen Hbf. ...... they feature kitchenette facilities (microwave, fridge and two electric rings). For supplies there is a Rewe supermarket a few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff are fabulous; from reception to room service. Although Schilerstrasse may not be to everyone's taste the hotel is virtually at the Hbf. end of the street so a visitor, if he/she so wishes, can avoid the 'Hostess' bars which are further down the street. Within a 10 minute walk you are right in the main shopping centre of the city. All the main brewery run restaurants are also within a 30 minute meander ...... Weisses Brauhaus, Andechser am Dom, zum Augustiner and zum Franziskaner.

El desayuno es más normal, el pan de champán y el queso de huevos de pan. El hotel está muy cerca de la estación de tren. A la cerca de la tienda de Karstadt, hay un supermercado oriental en el tercer piso del supermercado, que está abierto en gran medida, es chino. Además hay un supermercado pequeño, que puede comprar pan, fruta, comidas de consumo diarias, etc. Caminar al este del hotel a cientos de metros de la Plaza Carl y seguir caminando al este es la Plaza Maria, la famosa iglesia de Munich y las calles comerciales están alrededor. Finding a place to smoke a nice cigar in Munich is difficult. This is a nice room, but tends to get quite crowded towards the evening, with lots of cigarette smokers stepping in for a short smoke as well. They usually don't serve drinks inside the cigar lounge, but will bring them to the cashier outside and you then need to carry them inside youself (presumably to protect the server from being exposed to the smoke). The lounge though is quite nice and if when you finally get your drink is a very enjoyable place to tend to your cigar.

On our round trip through Germany we booked in advance two rooms in this hotel. Considering the fact it was the most expensive one on our trip I like to summarize the following: + The bed was really good. We slept very well - It was very loud from the road (party on the other side of the street, fire fighters main station on the road) not their fault - The rooms do not look like how it is presented on the provided pictures. In one room very old bath room. In the room itself a good wooden floor. + In our room the bath was new. The floor in the sleeping room with an old carped covered. - The room service was bad: we had to ask for toilet paper. The shower gel was empty and not refilled. The staff was able to understand English, German or French. No reaction on a good morning etc. - The initial breakfast we took in the hotel. For the second and the third we left the hotel (even we already paid for it). I do not expect a huge and overfilled buffet, because I do not like food-waste. But for 15 euro I expect the availability of fresh bread, a good coffee and some soft-cheese and fruits. The bread was hard, one little soft cheese. I refilled the empty water carafe. The coffee machine in use was for home use. After I finished my breakfast we got a Cappuccino from the really friendly staff. She was forced to deal with bad technology. Sorry, that's the fact. For breakfast chose Trachtenvogl or Madam Anna Ekke (both pretty close) and you pay less for much more quality!

Toll, was aus dem ehemaligen Hotel Herzog Wilhelm geworden ist. Die Zimmer sind mit der viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert worden und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Eine schöne, gelungene Abwechslung zu den Kettenhotels. Auch der persönlich Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Lage ist sehr zentral direkt am Sendlinger Tor. Schön, dass es sowas gibt!

Hemos estado alojados durante cinco días y hemos tenido una estancia excelente. Tiene todo lo que un hotel debe tener: ubicación perfecta muy céntrica a 5 minutos de Marienplaz a la vez que tranquila, habitación amplia y cómoda, bien iluminada y nueva, la cama muy cómoda con dos tipos de almohadas para elegir, minibar gratuito, ducha estupenda, el desayuno espectacular con zumo de naranja natural, fruta fresca, siempre completo independientemente de la hora que bajáramos. Todo el personal muy amable, la recepción muy ágil en los trámites, y el precio muy asequible. Lo recomiendo sin dudar.

Perfect location centrally near the Main Railway Station and the old city centre. Hotel staff are friendly and very pleasant. Reception staff attentitive to your needs and helpful. El hotel tiene sus luces y sus sombras. Sinceramente lo mejor de todo es la ubicación / precio. Eso sí, después de haber estado en él, no pagaría tampoco más, como los precios que he estado viendo en el mismo hotel por una habitación igual días antes de llegar. El hotel está reformando algunas de las habitaciones, y resultaba un poco molesto el ruido de las obras. Pero como casi no estábamos en él, no le dimos más importancia. Lo que no me gustó fue la habitación que nos dieron, muy pequeña. Todo en ella era incómodo. La ducha, estrecha, con una cortina que se te pegaba y encima los reguladores de agua mal situados, que reducían aún más el espacio y muy antiguos, de los que debías tener cuidado de no tocar porque podías abrasarte. Las camas muy incomodas, si te sentabas sobre la cama, notabas los muelles. El edredón no podía estar más viejo, le faltaba relleno por todos lados. Además de la almohada que tenía el mismo problema que el edredón. Y otro inconveniente, en pleno inicio del invierno, el radiador del baño no funcionaba. Nos hubiera venido bien. He pagado hoteles con muy buena ubicación y con precio similar con (por lo menos) camas cómodas. El personal del hotel muy agradable y encantador, y disponen de guarda equipaje, y nos dejaron entrar antes de la hora porque ya tenían la habitación preparada, que eso también es un punto a favor. No esperéis lujos, parece más una pensión (está entero para reformar). Ya que tampoco disponible de muchos servicios. A pesar de los inconvenientes, sí volvería al mismo hotel, ya que la localización era perfecta y no necesito mucho cuando voy de viaje.
