Love this resort! Great location on the Xidi square, beautiful architecture, rooms actually very luxurious with heated floors, Japanese toilet and large round bath tub. Staff were very helpful, at some point when we were in town, they sent us WeChat message that there is fish lantern festival happening in the square, so we managed to take a part! Breakfast is local food, as expected. There is a small terrace above reception, great views especially on the misty morning. They gave us set of towels, comb, slippers and box of local sweets, beautiful gesture! They are very responsive on WeChat of his to meet us and they organize a transfer to Yinxi station (10mins), much closer then Huangshan! Xidi is beautiful and resort made it even more unforgettable.

We are very satisfied with our trip! Everything was better than we could ever imagine. Before our arrival, the hotel owner contacted us to help us find the hotel. Because it is located in the Hongcun ancient village (which is a restricted area), taxis and didi cannot access the area but the hotel owner helped us bring the big luggages upstairs and also helped us on our way back. In general, he was very responsive and answered all our questions. We used WeChat for easy translation. The hotel is situated in the heart of Hongcun village,vry close to the entrance and also close to all the scenic spots. It is just mesmerizing, the hotel itself is a work of art. No matter how much we looked, there were always new things to discover. The decor was fantastic, it was representing the Hui style. A pleasant surprise was the view from our bathroom. The amazing wooden windows opened a magic view to the big hall. The view from the window in front of the bed are Hui-style houses and the mountains. Drinking coffee there and getting ready was a bliss. The room itself was also very beautifully decorated and kept clean. If i would come to Hongcun again, I will definitely choose the same hotel. It made our experience purely magical. While visiting the ancient buildings in the village, we were happy to come back to our room, which was as beautiful. Thanks a lot to the hotel staff and especially the owner!

El callejón que da acceso al hotel es precioso. Uno de los más bonitos de Hongcun.

A pesar de haber ido fuera de temporada, recibí una cálida bienvenida. Es un placer pasear por todo el complejo; hay muchos rincones donde sentarse y relajarse contemplando los hermosos paisajes. Me sorprendió gratamente ver conejos y gansos en algunas zonas; le dan un toque especial a la atmósfera de paz y tranquilidad. Las habitaciones son cómodas y tienen una bonita vista a las montañas. La comida es sencillamente espectacular, y el desayuno superó todas mis expectativas. El personal fue muy amable y atento, y en general, mi estancia fue muy, muy agradable. Espero volver a visitarlos cuando haga un poco más de calor.

La finca se encuentra en la zona turística de Hongchun. Está muy cerca de todas las atracciones y restaurantes. Podrás dar un agradable paseo después de cenar. Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

The property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!

Traveling with 2 of my friends on a fun girls trip! This was such an amazing location. We went from a sad and boring hotel in Beijing to this fantastic location and suddenly the whole trip was more fun and much more interesting. The host met us at the entrance to Hongcun and carried our luggage in the back of his little vehicle as we followed him around quaint buildings and through a narrow cobblestone walkway which was perfect for walking and pretty impressive to drive thru without scratching anything. After the beautiful walk we came through the most beautiful circle archway and into the cutest courtyard. We rented the room with a queen bed downstairs and 2 full beds up in the loft. The rooms were so cute we had to hide our luggage to do a full video tour to show our families before unpacking. The beds have mattress toppers which helped soften up the beds for us Americans. The host was very helpful and I would suggest getting WeChat to translate if you don’t speak Chinese. I don’t but it was easy to communicate. I would definitely stay at here again. Highly recommended!
