Value for money - 2.8 / 5 Food spread - 3 / 5 Room amenities - 3 / 5 Things to do - 2 / 5 First visit - may be Revist - No Good time to visit - May be from Oct, post the rains and summer. We visited in July and the humidity saps you Whats good - 1) Quite, old property and it serves the purpose of cutting you off from the city. Surrounded by greenery and fields, which is good. The property does give a sense of being old - you can walk across different terraces and go to the top 2) Pool - that the best part though its a smallish one. Spend hours idling away 3) Activity - If you are a birder, you will find enough species to keep you engaged and, who knows, even a lifer too. Be sure to step out of the property for this. You can cycle around in the village. And there is a tractor ride (fun for city folks) and small pottery session. And then there are board games, TT, badminton, and a pool table Whats not good - 1) The property may be heritage but neither the design nor the landscape gives you any sense of heritage. Apart from the odd black and white photos and swords here and there, its like a rather rustic property done up a bit 2) Room is average, there is space but its feels economy, nothing plush compared to the rack rate. Room decor does not in particular connect with a heritage feel. Amenities were a challenge - Faucets were broken, wash basin had leakage, and wash room was not clean. If you don't want to open the bathroom window, there is no exhaust in the washroom. 3) Room / personal service while there did not seem encouraging, limiting visitors to the 3 meals of the buffet. They asked for evening snacks to be booked right at lunch. Everything else is 1/2 hour to 1 hour wait. 4) Dining - The decor, including cutlery, was below par. A big hall and a/c does not make for a good feel. The spread was limited. Non-veg folks have to suffice with 1 dish and you cant order what you want (but you can in snacks). Breakfast was worse - tea but no coffee. Overall, an economy feel. If you have been to better properties that offer a bit of continental fare and choices in Indian fare, this will be disappointing 5) Impersonal experience - there did not seem to be anybody like a GM of the property. The result - no one is going to ask you how your experience is or if they can make it better. The staff will fix your issues but that is about all. If you are looking for an anonymous stop, this is perfect. Much can be done for a better customer experience but, for now, its a bare minimum property.
