Atlantica Akti Zeus Hotel

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, we went as a family/friends group, ages 22, 23, and early 50's . 2 of us in each room. The rooms were a lovely size with a balcony, they were cleaned daily, including floors mopped. Christina our cleaner was so friendly. Making swans and butterfly out of towels and night clothes. The pool was so clean, at 6 pm they started to clean even with a robot that cleaned the inside of pool. The entertainment staff were so friendly and full of energy, great selection of activities. Unfortunately the water slids were at the front of the hotel. There were bins at each end of the pool to put your plates from the snack bar and leave plastic cups. There was also recycling bins. The bar staff also walked around collecting cups fom the sunbeds. The beach was shingles and was solid rock in the sea, when calm great for snorkeling. The food was amazing, the choice and selection was so large at both lunch and dinner, with different food at every meal. The snack bar in the day time also had a choice of hot and cold food. My only thing i would say would help os a map of the hotel amenities as were could work out how to get on the the entertainment balcony for the evening entertainment, we could hear it so sat on our balcony to listen to the music. Which was very loud but did stop at 11pm ever night. There was nowere to go in the evening out side of the hotel. A taxi ride in to Heraklion was about 20mins long and cost £18 each way, just ask at reception and they will call a taxi for you. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is my second year at Atlantica Akti Zeus hotel and my partners 3rd time here. Seen many reviews on the power plant/station this doesn’t affect your holiday whatsoever; barely noticeable. The facilities are always immaculate here with the housekeeping team coming in daily to clean your rooms and also around the hotel too. Staff are always super friendly and very welcoming always have time to chat; special mentions to the main evropi bar staff George and Giorgos who made a superb effort in talking to my partner and I each night over the last 10 nights while being super busy! The food was always very nice and plenty of variety including different theme nights throughout the week; we used the Greek al a carte which you get 1 free visit per stay, I would definitely recommend this as food and service was great. The entertainment reps were very welcoming and keen for everyone to get involved, all ages included with their daily activities in and around the pool, also their evening events up on the entertainment terrace. The onsite spa beautiful facility, offering a steam room and massages. Had to experience one of these massages offered by Stamatina; came out feeling very relaxed and was a 5 star experience. Would recommend to all!

Nice hotel .Food is super. Maassagevfrom Zoé very very good. Everythink nicht. Spa is a nicht relax place. I have Antistress massage with Zoé and it was the best in my life...... Elleni and Ntina very kind and helpful for Everythink .... You must go...

A NICE HOTEL WITH BEAUTIFUL POOL AND NICE FOOT. I HAVE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE IN AEGEO SPAS OF HOTEL.MY FAMILY HAVE THREE MASSAGES . I HAVE WUTH XRYSA..VERY VERY GOOD THERAPIST.I ENJOY MY TREATMENT .ELENI ALSO SPA MANAGER VERY KIND AND HELPFUL. THANK YOU FIR THIS EXPERIENCE.

I love this hotel so far. Food is lovely albeit a little salty but great variety. Giselle from Aegeo spa recommended me a lovely Cretan massage which true to her word was amazing. My massage therapist was Kryssa and she applied the perfect amount of pressure. She was very caring and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Mixed feelings with this. I've never written a review before but i really do not think this hotel provided what we paid for. It feels like a few rooms have been painted and so now being advertised as 4* but it really is a very mediocre 3* when I compare to other tui all inclusive we have done. It has put us off doing all inclusive again. Food was varied and plenty there but like a school canteen. Okay if you can get seats outside but busy. It annoyed me that all inclusive drinks were so restricted. Cocktails you have to pay for and kids couldnt get a slush puppy without paying extra. You basically get local wine, beer or cheap fizz included and red wine is served cold from a tap. Entertainment was seriously lacking and the same thing and same sound track on repeat every day. I felt bad for the Entertainment team stuck in a traumatic ground hog day. At least sunday gives everyone a break. Again, i think we've been spoilt with hotels in turkey that offer far superior Entertainment and proper all inclusive package. Kids liked the water park but hardly any sunbeds, this part of hotel is very run down and icecreams were €5 each. The pros of this hotel are that its very short transfer to hotel, a central crete location and fab if you rent a car to get out and about. Car hire from hotel was really reasonable so we got out and about. Crete is covered in beautiful beaches and lakes so dont waste your time with hotel beach. That felt like dipping in Southampton docks with the powet station and stinky boats coming in and out. Not so goods - its very out of town so nothing in evenings if you're bored playing cards with no entertainment. The power station is an eyesore. We were 4th floor facing it. Fab for evening sun but staring at that view was heart breaking having paid nearly £6k for holiday. It pumps yellow and black smoke all day, with smell of petrol in air depending on wind and one day a valve was released which sounded like plane landing. I jumped up and closed balcony! All in all we had a fab holiday but in the main because we accepted the hotel as being just a base and went out and about because Crete is beautiful. The staff are all lovely, they try hard and everything is clean but if you are paying 4* tui prices it is not value for money. We would not recommend this hotel to friends.

Aegeo spa - had a back, neck and face massage. Was lovely and relaxed, the staff were great and made us feel very welcomed. Refreshed were offfered on arrival, and very nice and cool. Def recommend for any anyone who wants to relax and have a few hours spare.

Was concerned when reading some of the reviews before our trip. I would like to say we had the most enjoyable week. Our two girls are 5 and 3 and it was perfect for them. The aqua playground was great for both us and them. It isn’t too far from the main hotel so you can nip back for drinks and snacks. We also got the bus into Heraklion and I would recommend this. Highlights Buffet- food in general was high quality replenished frequently and all of a really high quality snack bar also great! Staff all friendly and attentive. Kids club staff Anna and Asia always smiling and waving at our girls. Main bar and wine bar great drinks and super friendly staff, so kind to our little girls. A trip to the crepe house also a must do! Cleaning standards excellent- our room was spotless everyday and new towels provided daily. Would like to thank the staff for their kindness when my little girl became ill on our last morning. The two ladies at reception were so supportive and helpful. The housekeeping staff also were fantastic Overall a wonderful family holiday. Thank you❤️
