Stayed here for 3 nights when visiting MRC. Hotel had been booked for me. On arrival I had to provide a £50.00 deposit in case I did any damage. Having travelled the world, this is the first time this deposit was actually charged to my card. I was told this would be returned within 10 - 14 days. The double room was very small. The wardrobe was only large enough to hang 4 garments. There was nowhere for a suitcase other than the floor. The bathroom was actually a wet room with a frosted glass door, so the floor was always wet. There are no hooks or shelves and the shower gels and plastic cups were balanced on the bed headboard. The staff generally seemed disinterested. Avoid this Hotel!

It was a nice stay. Warm welcoming and nice staff. Check-in was easy and fast and provided all the details about London as well. Close to earl's court as well and it was really easy because of that. Room was very clean and tidy. Would comeback again

Rooms are comfortable and staff are friendly. The location is quite central and my family and I were able to get around London easily. I will stay here again, as the price was good for 3 nights in London.

Full off illegals do not stay here felt very unsafe was like staying in a UN camp not really a hotel but a refugee camp steer clear...will never stay here again disgusting this hotel been used like this...do not stay here if want a pleasant stay

Pay 250£ for this room, how it’s possible??? The biggest scam in the World. On top I spent 15 minutes at the desk for the checkin and the hotel charge me more than the price announced with a system of cash back after the check out…

The hotel is in a quiet residencial área, away from the central London, the rooms were small but the breakfast Washington variedades. The hotel Washington vera clean and the staff was vera friendly Expensive in relación quality price

Tiny room , uncomfortable beds , twin room shared with daughter in law , no space at all worst bathroom I have ever seen, nowhere to put anything , shower wets whole room , so 2nd person to use shower wading in water tiled floor dirty , only good thing about this hotel is location ,

Very disappointing to arrive at Ambassador Bloomsbury to a less than lukewarm welcome from desk staff. After such a long flight from Australia, a warm greeting would have been appreciated. It wasn’t just one staff member, but all at the front desk. Rooms very small but that’s expected. On a brighter note, the bar staff next door were fabulous!

I arrived in London, at the hotel at 2.10pm on the 18th of June, and couldn’t check into the hotel until 3pm. I explained that I was going to be out all day, and wouldn’t be back until very late. This wasn’t a problem, and I understand it’s normal to adhere to the check in times. I arrived back at the room at 12.30-1am - very tired, and exhausted from travelling and the days events. In the room, I found blood stains on the door frame into the bathroom, and an old blood stain on the towel. As I was so tired, I checked the bed (which was clean) and decided I would tell the reception first thing in the morning. I took pictures at this point to show them. The next morning, I spoke with reception and the gentleman was very lovely, and came to look at the room. He seemed shocked at what he saw, and said he would have to speak to his manager. I felt this employee was genuine and felt happy with his response. I had left the hotel with an understanding that no payment would be taken off my credit card until a conversation had occurred between myself and the manager. Since then, I have received an email from Najmul Hussain; who told me they had inspected the room before I had arrived and this wasn’t there! And so have taken payment from my card with 20% deducted, as he felt this was fair. He also said that he would not speak to me over the phone, as all means of correspondence have to be recorded. Whilst I appreciate they want a log of events, I would also have appreciated an honest, open telephone call; especially when I had requested this before payment was taken so that we could have come to a mutual agreement. I do not feel that the hotel is keeping a good standard of hygiene, considering the recent global pandemic the world has just suffered. I feel the hotel wanted to dismiss my issue quickly and move on without proper conversation of thought into my feelings. There has been no discussion about how this might have been missed, what they will do to ensure it doesn’t happen for other guests, and how they can put measures in place to maintain high standards. Someone else’s blood stains is NOT acceptable. I would not recommend this hotel.
