Always get what you expect at Village. Clean and tidy room, easy check in/out, lovely breakfast. Little disappointed with the price but was due to an organised event in the locality.

Not happy with trip.co.uk as I booked a club room with free access to gym and pool. But when about to enter gym/swimming pool they refused saying that it was a standard double room. Even though it was a club room, and all club rooms include free access to gym and pool.
Lady in gym reception refused to let us in even though it clearly stated in the email confirmation that it was a club room with free access. Lady still refused and demanded money to use the gym and pool. I asked for management. They said because i booked through trip.com (third party) it did not allow.
Absolutely ridiculous.

I have stayed at the hotel so long it's clear that it feels like home and I can honestly they they don't go less than above and beyond to help you feel at ease and at home I have not one complaint to make other than, can't you just let me live there guys xx 🥰
Helen on the desk is one of the loveliest people you'll probably encounter and if there's an issue they try their best to deal with it in a favourable manner so that you don't feel awkward or embarrassed, well once they know you better, you'll have to remember how many people they all deal with minute by minute and they aren't all reasonable, understanding or rationale but they all seem to keep their cool and keep a light humour to the situation which is lovely xx

I was very disappointed to realise late at night there was no complementary water in my room. Also, I found sticky deposits on one of my pillows, like some sort of confectionery sweet residue. Not pleasant when your face sticks to the pillow! Also, the toilet rim was not clean. I found the bedroom furniture very tired and damaged. Quite shabby really.

Ok for the price, but breakfast was a bit basic (cheap sausage and bacon / limited choice). Room was clean and bed comfortable

We usually stay in the village hotels in Liverpool and Chester but we decided to use the Leeds one . We arrived late due to family commitments and was given our room key . We entered our room
The bed wasn’t made and when I looked there was blood all over the sheets and duvet cover . There was a blood trail from the bed into the bathroom too . I called the manager who came and changed our room as well as take pictures of the room state .
I’ve contacted village hotels via email since to complain and see if there was anything they could help with or offer us . Was told I’d have a response in 48 hours that was 4 weeks ago!
Leeds facility is supposed to be one of the better village hotels . But for us it was the worst .
