The RIYAZ Lavanya Langkawi

¡Nuestro viaje fue exquisito! Vinimos durante la temporada de lluvias, así que disfrutamos bien la mayor parte de nuestro tiempo en el hotel: gimnasio, producto de sesión de fotos porque cada ángulo es estético, piscina. Hotel nuevo, por lo que todas las instalaciones son nuevas, personal amable y buen desayuno. Sala de estudio con bañera. ¡Definitivamente repetiré! Con el objetivo de que la villa con piscina traiga a nuestra familia pronto ☺️

Love this hotel so much.The Riyaz lavanya Langkawi is located at Pantai tengah,near to the beach and from airport is about 15 minutes drives.the staffs are very friendly,polite and check in this fast too.The room junior suite is so beautiful,big and comfortable.They do provide cakes and flower/towels decorates for celebrates my birthday .Thank you so much.Hotel view from the roof top is so amazing during sunset.Breakfast is ok but can be improve,adding more variety.Parking is free and easy.Will come to stay if come again to Langkawi.

Highly recommended as location is good, 10-15mins drive from airport, 5mins drive to Pantai Cenang & Cenang Mall. Nice view from balcony (especially sea view). Service staffs were all smiles & friendly, from front office, bell man, f & b staffs and even their f & b manager Mr Ravindra was excellent! He will ensure all the food are replenished and tables cleared, even he himself will clear the table! No need to worry about safety while staying there as the security not only rove on the ground and even on the room floor they will ensure the security of the guests staying at The Riyaz. The rooftop swimming pool was nice. Overall i would rate their services the best👍👍👍 We can even see sunset from our room balcony 😍

The place was easy to locate.. room was clean.. everything was great, but the only downside is that the water from taps were yellow.. comes with both breakfast n lunch which was just average.. called to ask for complimentary birthday cake but was chargeable... aside from the tourism tax we paid upon booking, ur still have to pay Langkawi tourism tax at the hotel, which the receptionist said its different... but nonetheless, we had a pleasant stay there!

Love their services and facilities! So sad that I did not have enough time to dip in the pool ! Definitely will come back

We booked a junior suite with bath tub. Good service, absolutely nice room with amazing view. We had a great time till we discovered that the water was yellowish when we were putting water in the bath tub. The water was still yellowish after an hour of running the water, as advised by the staff. Hence, it was a huge disappointment for us as we could not use the bath tub due to the cleanliness of the water. Manager who handled this situation was very calm and apologetic. She did service recovery by offering two different rooms but the water was still the same. Kinda pissed off because there’s no solution to it. Water was “yellowish” but they say it’s safe to use. Who would want to shower with dirty water and to brush our teeth. The water has small particles which we guessed it was not filtered thoroughly. So we had to use mineral water to brush our teeth. We understand that this kind of thing might not be their forte, but pls do something about it. Everything else here is perfect. But water is essential and we use it daily. Nobody would want to shower or soak in dirty water. The photo shows it all. And the water issue was not solved till the last day so we could not use the bath tub.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Langkawi, there are WAY BETTER hotels for a similar price point. The RIYAZ Lavanya Langkawi does not deserve to call themselves a 5 star hotel, their rooms are not the level of luxury expected from a 5 star hotel and are 4 star at best. Room cleanliness (as seen from the pictures - we had booked a junior suite and was greeted by a stained bench and carpet) and service is also sorely lacking. When we called reception to ask whether we could check out early, she replied curtly and rudely that our booking was made through Trip.com, so we have to check with the travel agent instead - not showing an ounce of concern or curiosity why we were making such an enquiry. I don't believe this is 5 star service at all. When we went to reception to process our check out, we were greeted by another receptionist who finally asked us why we were checking out 2 nights early. She sounded actually apologetic but did not offer us any service recovery or room upgrades, so we left it at that and proceeded to drive out of the hotel. Only when we were turning out of the carpark, we received a WhatsApp call from the same receptionist to meet with the Duty Manager. At this point, we were already disappointed and was making our way to another hotel, but she pleaded with us saying that our early check out would be blamed on her as she was the receptionist on duty. We felt sorry for her as she wasn't to blame (it was the cleaning team's fault and the other receptionist), so we decided to meet with the Duty Manager as a favour. The Duty Manager listened to our grievances and offered us a room upgrade - by this point, we were already disappointed by the subpar service and it felt like a last ditch effort to have us stay, and for what exactly? I don't think anything could have salvaged our stay at this point - it was not just the room, it was also the lack of service training of staff. We had also already made another booking which was non-cancellable as we weren't offered any service recovery before this. To make matters worse, when we got back and tried to request for a refund through Trip.com, the hotel refused and was adamant that they did not receive any concern from us, which is untrue as per my recount above.
