Hotel is about 2 kms from Kagoshimachuo station , not convenient if you travel by public transport. However, the hotel offer free shuttle bus to/from station, depart every 30 minutes. Public bath not so interesting but pastries in the lobby cafe are really good.

La habitación estaba limpia, con servicio de limpieza diario opcional o simplemente cambio de toallas, lo cual es una ventaja para quienes prefieren que el personal no acceda a su habitación. En el vestíbulo se ofrecen diversos artículos de autoservicio, como cápsulas para tratamientos capilares, sales de baño, loción y una variedad de café y té instantáneos. En cuanto al estacionamiento, no es gratuito para los huéspedes del hotel, aunque la recepción ofrece un ticket con descuento (pagamos 1200 yenes por noche). El aparcamiento de pago se encuentra en la calle detrás del hotel, a unos 3 minutos a pie.

Richmond hotel was located opposite a big department store, with easy access to bus and trams. A combini is just opposite the hotel. They have a wider range of personal amenities to pick at the lobby. They have 3 machines to handle checkout, exchange currency (e.g. 1000¥ to 100¥ coins for laundry machines on 6th floor, or break 10,000¥ to smaller notes). The machines also accept your hotel parking charges. When it was raining, hotel provided full size umbrellas for use, without deposit or giving room numbers, which is very convenient. It has a car park with limited lots, so if you can secure one ,it will be very easy to unload and load your bags. Costs 2400¥ for 2 nights of parking. Main place for food is closer to Tenmonkan area, which is walkable.

Habitación estupenda para familias con bebés o niños. Buen precio y buena ubicación. Lavadora en la habitación con detergente. Se ha convertido en nuestra primera opción cuando viajamos. Nos encantó el desayuno.

This place seemed great at first sight, the room and the bathtub are spacious (mine was a double room and I was solo). There's blue light at the lift that creates an ambiance. But the onsen is really poorly organized - it's one pool with nowhere to rest your head and relax - the mist sauna was not available. And I felt very upset that they have welcome drinks on the 13 floor and nobody told me anything... I've learned because I was checking until what time the onsen was open at the paper they give at check in and saw the small info. When I went upstairs was already more than 6 ( it's only until 6) and the guy told me it was not available anymore and I should go downstairs. But I could see there were some other teas that were not downstairs... In fact I had one in my hand and he made me return it. I went downstairs to complain and the woman at reception went up and brought me one tea already prepared, because it needs a special machine... But I wanted to have one for me and not only one already prepared ..(i actually threw it away 🥺 after talking to that rude man I would not take a tea that he prepared and I didn't see) In general this was very unprofessional that information was not given, the man saying I could not take anything, and her taking a long time to return with a prepared tea that I didn't want at that moment. Breakfast was good, could have hot chocolate instead of coffee..

It’s only a 6-minute walk from Kagoshimachuo Station! I stayed in the Tatami Room which can be relatively small for people with big luggages. Like other hostels, the toilets, shower rooms, and common space are shared among the floor. However, I do find the shower area a little small. Many of us wouldn’t enter the shower area if somebody was using the sink because the sink was right in front of one shower cubicle HAHAHA. And yes, there’s only one sink in the common shower area. I would recommend this place if you are doing a short stay in Kagoshima because there’s lots of shops and restaurants around the area! By the way, it’s located along the same lane as the famous “tonkatsu kawakyu とんかつ川久”. Please try it because it’s the best tonkatsu I’ve ever eaten!

El personal es muy amable y servicial. La ubicación es buena. Está a solo unos minutos a pie del autobús lanzadera del aeropuerto de Tenmonkan y de la parada del autobús con vistas a la ciudad. Disfrute del desayuno.

Las vistas eran impresionantes. Despertarse por la mañana y ver Sakurajima, con el sonido del ferry de fondo, hizo que el viaje hacia el sur valiera la pena. Hotel totalmente recomendable.

Aunque se trata de un hotel antiguo, lo cual se nota en sus instalaciones y diseño general, el servicio y las comodidades que ofrece para quienes viajan solos justifican el precio de la estancia. La habitación está limpia, aunque pequeña, pero suficiente. Algunos puntos a tener en cuenta si planeas reservar: Está cerca de la estación central, a solo una cuadra de las principales tiendas y opciones de transporte. El hotel cierra la recepción y las puertas de 23:00 a 7:00. Se recomienda hacer el check-in antes de las 23:00. Para entrar y salir del hotel en ese horario, puedes usar tu tarjeta para abrir la puerta principal. Las paredes son delgadas, por lo que es muy probable que escuches a tu vecino. Hay café y bebidas gratis en el vestíbulo.
