Hotel Restaurant Brasserie Feestzaal Ahoi, Kortrijk

It is a boat so you are not going to get the biggest rooms you will ever stay in, but you are not staying for space, you are staying for the experience and that is why I have rated this so highly. From the very moment we booked to our departure after our two night stay, it was a friendly experience from Stefan and his crew. On arrival we had a warm welcome and all was explained to us, parking is right outside the boat and is basically 4 euros for 24 hours, you do have to get up to sort out the parking each day at 9am, but as I said its right next to the boat It's nice to have a drink on the upper deck which has an indoor and outdoor area and also I would recommend eating there, its very good value for money and well cooked. All in all perfect for a short stay and handy to walk into Kortricht town centre and also to drive to nearby WWI sites including Ypres etc. For those that are worried that the boat moves, I barely felt it even when big ships went past. I thought long and hard before booking as I knew it was going to be a different experience from a normal hotel, but I am really glad i did and would highly recommend it.

Brasserie wasn’t open and no on site facilities to make tea coffee water or breakfast. Room was hot and stuffy unable to open the windows. Also be warned the bathroom has no door and has a glass window so very little privacy!

The welcome was very friendly by the Boothotel with owner taking the time to explain things and demonstrate the airconditioner for cooling the room. The rooms are well designed and clean. Having the shower and toilet in the same room as the beds with just a partition may be too intimate for some people. I was attracte to this hotel because of the location and the very positive write ups on the breakfast. However we discovered when we arrived that we were a problem. The owner has decided not to provide breakfast for less than four people and as only three people were staying the next two nights no breakfast would be provided. For me breakfast is an important part of the hotel experience and it is a bit of a luxury to have it prepared and ready when you wake up. So we were naturally disappointed. This fact changed my view of the stay from good value to not so good value. The price including breakfast is good value but take away the breakfast and the price becomes expensive for just a basic room.

Zeer leuk! Lekker eten, top gastheer en gastvrouw en je voelt je er thuis. Niet veel van te zeggen. Just try ! We gingen er eten met een paar mensen en telkens werden we hier vriendelijk onthaald en was alles Top in orde. 1 keer je er gaat en de sfeer voelt keer je zeker terug
