Blue Lotus Resort

Stayed back in March, pleasant location with beach right next to the rooms. Location is hard to get to however and necessity for bike hire around this area is clear- then you're all good! Bike hire affordable which is great. Rooms get very hot and slightly cramped for two but can't fault with great price.

The Blue Lotus Resort was a great get away ! Not for everyone as very basic but cheap accommodation. The very short walk to the magnificent beach made it and look forward to going there again one day. We didn’t have a scooter but it is essential for getting around there which they do hire out ! Good times !

I loved it! Originally we were planning to stay 2 nights, just to go to the full moon party and explore the island. But after we got to know the owner we decided to rebook and we eventually we rebooked 2 times. The guy is just really easy going and nice to talk to. He took us to the night market, where we got dinner that we than ate together with another traveler and the owner. The next day we made a campfire at the beach with the owner aswell and we ordered pizzas and just stayed there chilling and talking. He also has 3 dogs, which are really kind and interested in what you do. They follow you all over the place and lay with you when you sit on the beach. The rooms are good, you get what you paid for. We had an airco room, which worked perfect. You also get a small porch, which is really nice to sit on when It rains. The place is also on the beach. So you can just walk around, either sit on the grass and hang out or go to the beach and just have some drinks. If you need a scooter, the guy has plenty of them! I really recommend this place. Thank you Pong (owner) for the good times, we will definitely be back!

Die Bungalows sind sehr einfach gestaltet, für den Preis aber vollkommen ausreichend. Zwar liegen sie direkt am Strand, zum baden ist dieser aber eher weniger geeignet. Außerdem lebt man etwas abgelegen, wodurch man einen Roller braucht, den man aber für 200THB/Tag in der Unterkunft leihen kann. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und am Morgen bekommt man kostenlos Kaffee, der mit dem Blick aufs Meer natürlich noch viel besser schmeckt. Bis hierher also eigentlich 5 Sterne, vor allem fürs Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Großer Minuspunkt sind allerdings die fehlenden Mückengitter im Badezimmer. An die vielen harmlosen Tausendfüßler hat man sich schnell gewöhnt. Allerdings war bereits beim Einzug Kot auf dem Waschbecken, den die Vermieterin beim Eintreten auch gesehen haben muss, aber nichts dazu gesagt hat. Nach 2 Tagen stellte sich auch heraus, woher dieser stammte: Hinter unserem Schrank lebten zwei etwa 30cm lange Tokeh Geckos, die dann auch immer wieder hervorgekrochen sind. Alles ungiftig und damit auch nicht weiter schlimm, aber dennoch im ersten Moment schockierend und eklig.
