Keystone Boardwalk Inn and Suites

Beds are on the firm side, but not terrible. Bath towels are rough and thin; not the worst, but far from the best. Absolute worst soap bars we’ve ever seen provided at a hotel - they don’t lather in the least; it was like rubbing your body with a piece of plastic. Bring your own. No hair dryer in the room. My wife asked for one at the front desk; he told her there is ONE hair dryer available for the entire hotel, and was at that time, loaned out. Unbelievable. We found someone’s pair of reading glasses under the bed. Carpet was old and stained. Very disappointing that there are no refrigerators in the room. Coupled with the fact that the ONE ice machine for the entire hotel was out-of-service made for a very inconvenient four-night stay. No microwave in the room. On the positive side, the gentleman who checked us in was very congenial, efficient and even offered advice/tips on what to do, see and places to eat in the area.

There was no refrigerator or microwave. The room was stuffy and musty smelling. Had to pay $10 for more towels, we each only got 1 towel for a 2 night stay.

Clean rooms. Conveniently located for the surrounding attractions. There is no elevator and the stairway is not covered.

The stay was ok. Inexpensive no frills hotel. Came in late and no parking was available in the lot.

The hotel is very convenient to Yellowstone. Colleen, the receptionist was very friendly & super informative with my questions about visiting Yellowstone. She was also available for us since we arrived very close to 10 PM. The room is very clean. The beds are comfortable. The area seems very quiet and safe. I love that they have hot coffee available in the morning. They also have an icemaker and cold water that you could use.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They suggested many things to do. The motel was very convenient to the shopping district. The bed was very comfortable. Whole place was very clean. We will definitely stay here again if we come back

Nice clean and comfortable property. Shower was hot and water pressure was great. Easy walk to shopping and dining. Small parking lot and no microwave or refrigerator. Hair dryer available at front desk. Older property that could use a facelift BUT clean and friendly. For the price it was perfect. I will stay there again.

We were late checking in and they called to make sure that we were still on our way. The gentleman working the front desk was great. The location was great. There were local places to eat. We were able to walk to dinner and for ice cream. The only downside is that you have to drive back into Rapid City for local chains and Walmart. We still loved that we were close to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Even though there was lots of local shops, it was quiet. The area was great. If we come back to the area, we will definitely stay here again.
