Shirakabeso

The services were top-notch. The dinner and breakfast were all meticulously prepared and served.

The location is far away from the stations which made the onsen hotel unique and slient. Excellent service, food and environment are both good as well. Had a good stay.

This was the third time I stayed in this hotel, the onsen is very well

Very enthusiastic staff during check in. Ryokan is run mostly by foreign staff who spoke fluent English. They are hardworking and welcoming. Room allocated is aged and musty smelling. Hot spring bath is good though. Kaiseiki Dinner at this ryokan was the worst of the four we had during our Izu pennisula trip. We were served beef that was not fresh, sashimi with tough tendon that should have been removed by the chef. We will not return and do not recommend.

PRICING TRAP!! Avoid this hotel if you value transparency. Their pricing is a total trap. I specifically emailed the hotel multiple times before my arrival to confirm the additional costs. They explicitly stated in writing that the child’s rate would be 50% of the adult price. However, at check out, they reneged on this and charged a full adult price for child’s meal. The most ridiculous part? When I confronted them with their own email confirmation, they started scrambling for excuses: first blaming "room allocation," then absurdly claiming it was because I used a Trip.com coupon, which sounds non sense. It is clear the hotel was simply finding ways to overcharge. In the end, Trip.com acknowledged this misleading behavior and issued a refund to me, but the hotel remained stubborn and refused to admit their mistake/ refund. Their lack of integrity is a disgrace to Japanese hospitality. I did my part to clarify everything in advance, but they still played games with the bill. Very unprofessional.
