* This review expresses my personal views. Stay Away... Stay Far Away. * This IS NOT the resort it used to be. The owners sold out and it was split up into multiple resorts. Tribesman NO LONGER HAS ANY outdoor pools (no sun and fun) and offers only what I see as a DINGY, MUSTY, SWELTERING indoor pool with an absolutely FILTHY restroom. I did NOT want to spend any time in there... the windows were broken and covered with a disgusting white and gray film. The ceiling was rusted, mildewed and disgusting, lights broken and dripped musty water onto the very wet, very dirty floor. I feel the "pool-house" is literally falling apart. The siding is rotting and the foundation is crumbling. * I found the "hot tub" to be a joke; an old, dilapidated above-ground unit with torn liner and cover and rusted supports. I didn't DARE try to climb the disgusting, torn, partially carpeted, crumbling wooden steps to get in it. * My wife and I arrived just after 8:00pm. The unit was warm so we searched for the A/C thermostat. We could not fine it. We tried calling the office, the exchange and the emergency contact numbers but no one answered my calls. My wife finally noticed a wall-mounted air conditioner and it's remote. Sadly, it barely cooled the two-bedroom cabin. Each bedroom had a small, inadequate through-the-wall fan to try to cool down the bedrooms. * One of the bathrooms was absolutely disgusting with literally hundreds of dead insects strewn on the floor, and sink, towels... there was also no hand soap in either bathroom. * The ceiling in the dining area was stained and crumbling. * The portable dehumidifier was full of water and had shut itself off. * We had made reservations weeks in advance but we're NOT NOTIFIED that they no longer had an outdoor pool. (We had also made reservations for a week's stay months in advance for late July.) again NO ONE notified us that they no longer had ANY outdoor pools. Many sites on the internet showed that they had 4 outdoor pools and a billboard along the road to the resort still boasted 4 pools. I feel that this was a bait-and-switch tactic to keep past customers returning.
