Tisvildeleje Strandhotel

Stayed in the family room number 23. Was very noisy from the main hotel floor above. I see the charm of a danish beach hotel, just felt it was too expensive as you literally got nothing. No TV, no water in room, no coffee in room. Wouldnt take much effort to lift it up a bit. Front desk were very nice

Tisvilde is a quiet, charming beach town. The Strand Hotel is close to the beach. Good restaurant. Would stay there again

Tisvildeje is a great place to stay. The hotel might be super nice but the lack of service is a real point for people who are use to. House cleaning is not a daily must… they offer you to book a 3 beds bedroom that does not exist… every request is submitted to the manager who never shows up! Moreover the hotel is noisy. It could have been a great moment but it is not yet the case.

Hotel next door to cottage rental, so made dinner reservations. Food was of a fairly high caliber, but it took a very long time to get any service at all, even water. Seemed understaffed, though restaurant not full. Menu offered 2 choices per course. Dessert was the best: almond cake with strawberry sorbet and a crème brûlée with a pineapple sorbet and light rum sauce. Prices fairly high, not extreme.

We were so excited to enjoy Tisvildeleje at the end of summer. After a lengthy corona isolation, this was to be the highlight of the summer. The room we had booked was lovely - with a gorgeous terrace overlooking the town and the sea. Unfortunately, it went rapidly downhill from there. The food we were served on the first evening was simply unedible. The appetizers were oily and unappetizing, the octopus was slimy and chewy and the chèvre was soggy. The main course of beef was both raw inside and burnt on the outside, as was the sauce. We had to send both back, though unfortunately too late as we both ended up getting sick. However, this was just the beginning. When we tried to raise the matter with the management, we were not offered an apology. Instead, we were asked to pay for dry cleaning of an already dirty wall to wall carpet in the room. In a moment of bad luck, a glass of red wine had been spilt during the first night, leaving a stain in an already dirty carpet. The manager was rude and unpleasant, suggesting their food was high end and as good as NOMA, and that we were the difficult ones. We had paid for the room already from a US CC, but the manager tried to double charge us for the stay on our Danish CC; in addition, he billed us for the dry cleaning and yet did not cancel the price of a seriously substandard dining experience. Whatever you do or dont do, stay away from this ghastly place - its the diametrical opposite of “hygge” and a truly horrific experience.

Super happy with they stay! “Simple” but tasteful style, super friendly staff and great food!

Hotel und Restaurant mit besonderem Charme - nahe beim Bahnhof und ganz nah am Strand. Das Restaurant bietet eine kleine, feine Karte. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, auf der Terrasse zu essen. Besonders lecker fand ich den Salat mit Ziegenkäse und das Fischangebot.

Fint ophold på hotel. Hotel rum er meget lille og lidt mørkt, så kan kun anbefales, hvis værelset skal bruges til overnatning. Værelset er rent. Maden i tilhørende restaurant kan anbefales.

L’hôtel était très correct, l’emplacement idéal, le service adorable, la terrasse sublime, la chambre sans plus. En revanche gros problème dear ma modification de réservation (suppression d’une nuit) n’a pas été prise en compte. Et ceci par la faute d’hôtel.com et non de l’hôtel. La modification a pourtant été faite là délai. Je ne reprendrai plus de réservation par hôtel.com mais retournerai sans doute dans cet hôtel
