La estancia fue excelente y quedé muy satisfecho. La ubicación es inmejorable, justo al lado del paraje natural de Tianzifang, con plátanos que bordean las calles, creando un ambiente único. Se puede pasear por las antiguas calles y callejones de Shanghái o disfrutar del encanto de un distrito financiero metropolitano. El hostal en sí era fantástico, con todas las comodidades necesarias, aire acondicionado y agua caliente las 24 horas, habitaciones limpias y ordenadas, y compañeros de habitación muy amables y educados. El personal de recepción también fue muy atento y ofreció un servicio excelente. ¡Totalmente recomendable!

Guoguo de recepción tuvo una excelente actitud de servicio. Originalmente no había podido reservar habitaciones consecutivas, pero el hotel me arregló un check-in consecutivo, lo cual fue genial. Este albergue juvenil tiene principalmente la ventaja de su ubicación, ya que está cerca de lugares importantes como People's Square y Mercedes-Benz Arena. La línea 10 también va directamente a la estación de tren de Hongqiao. The hotel appears to have a relatively low rating on the Ctrip app (around 4.4/10) and also does not have many reviews. I assume these ratings may be from before the recent renovation. The hotel seems to have been renovated recently, and now it is very nice and very clean. For this location, it is probably one of the best options you can get at this price. When I arrived, there was a staff member at the reception who was very helpful. At first she may seem a bit rough in her manner, but she is actually a very kind and helpful person. The room itself is very clean. If you choose the cheapest option, the room does not have a window. However, if you choose the option one level above, you can get a room with a window. Considering the location, the price is very reasonable and it is difficult to find a room this affordable in this area. The room was very clean with no dust at all. The hotel provides all the basic amenities such as slippers, Wi-Fi, a dental kit, shower gel, and towels (one large towel and two hand towels). The bathroom is clean. It is slightly small, but actually a bit larger than another room I stayed in nearby a few days ago. They also provide a hairdryer, and the bed and blanket are very comfortable. The lighting in the room is also good. Overall, for this price, you get a clean room with Wi-Fi and all the essentials, which is really all you need. I stayed in a room without a window on the first day, and on the second day I moved to a slightly more expensive room with a window. Overall, if you are coming here for a short stay, this hotel is a very good option. ¡La ubicación es excelente, con fácil acceso al transporte y todos los servicios cerca! El ambiente es limpio y ordenado, las zonas comunes tienen buen ambiente y el servicio de recepción es cálido y atento. Las camas son cómodas y los baños están limpios, ¡una relación calidad-precio inmejorable! ¡Es la mejor opción de hostal para viajar a Shanghái, lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

Aka “Dengba Inn” on southern edge of Jing’An district, 15min walk from Former French Concession area. Good hostel overall, medium size (holds ~100ppl but feels cozier), seems all Chinese nationals (I saw 1 other foreigner the entire time). Cheap price for FFC, 1/3rd the price of hostel dormbeds directly in FFC area. Surrounding area is not that busy with many restaurant options. If you’re calling car and not actually walking to FFC everyday, I’d just stay further and call taxi to reach FFC. Good size rooms, comfy sturdy beds…light, plug, many hooks & hangers, AC. My 4-bed dorm had lots of storage, also workdesk in room. Some 6-8 bed dorms have private bathrooms. Largest 10-12 bed dorms don’t have workdesk and storage in room. Shared bathrooms not the cleanest but doable, nice that some have sink and toilet together. Lowcost laundry machines, free detergent, but machines didn’t work while I was there. Vibe not social at all. Just dozen people coworking/eating in quiet common areas, no music played. However very peaceful with plenty of seating and lounge space to work without distractions.
