located in a quieter part near Waikiki Resort. Love the night view of the harbor. Enjoy the two restaurants in the hotel. The staff are nice too. High quality of bedding and decoration. Very good location to view the sunset. Disappointment: Besides the location is in between Sunset beach and Ala Moana Beach, neither fit new swimmers from my opinion.

Our recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commi**ent to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

Very nice hotel away from the Waikiki Beach ***** but close enough to easily walk down to the beach or marina. Lots of interesting restaurants in the area. We found staff very friendly and rooms comfortable and clean. Wished we had stayed here longer rather than moving over to the Hilton Hawaiian Village for our last few days (didn't like it at all).

Hi! Before I will say some worlds about the hotel, I want to thank heartily the night manager Gerald( hope to type his name properly), he is originally from France. He is the one who has made our stay comfortable, pleasant and surprising during our check out. The problem was that first several nights we have suffered from noise in the neighbouring rooms. First 2 nights it was a loud music listening. Gerald has quickly addressed the issue, made a call, sent the security. The next night again the same problem happened. Gerald again has managed to solve the issue and we were not disturbed again. But in the third night a company have gathered in a different neighbouring room, there were screams, squeals and some different loud sounds. It was not easy, but Gerald again has solved the problem. We didn’t like that 3 nights we have suffered but huge and soft beds have eliminated the feeling. Once the tea bags were out and Gerald brought them by himself with a big variety and very fast. When we were checking out, it was a surprise when manager returned us the full sum of taxes and fees that we had paid separately for our stay. She told that it was Gerald, who approved with the hotel manager the pay back because of the all the inconveniences our neighbours caused us. That was a real customer oriented service, outstanding personal approach and the will to make our stay unforgettable. So thanks to hotel manager, who has hired a great team of professionals! As for the facilities, the rooms are huge, very new, very cosy and fresh with great and comfortable beds, huge TV, sofa, stationery table, fridge, balcony. It was a pleasant stay there, including a tea pot with tea bags, coffee bags and water. In the lower level, in lobby, there was a microwave, fresh still water that you can replenish, breakfasts can be served as well. The rooms are cleaned every 2/3 days, we had an issue with cleaning service, since I have asked several times to change the towels, to take out the trash for 2 days, unfortunately nothing was done before I have met a service manager. The room staff pretends they don’t understand English , hide from you, are not proactive. Some young reception girls seems to be nervous from time to time. The beach towels are provided to go to the beach as well as pool towels. The location is good to get to main streets, shops and restaurants. There are many supermarkets working until midnight nearby. El hotel está situado a unos .5 km de la playa, así que caminamos allí por la mañana antes del desayuno. Había al menos 40 asientos en el restaurante así que encontrar un lugar para sentarse con su desayuno no fue problema, y los caballeros tomarán los billetes de desayuno en la puerta (supongo que la gente no se vaya por la calle para el desayuno) La habitación era muy agradable, aunque los ascensores eran un poco lentos. El quinto piso tenía piscina, cabanas, mini golf, etc. pero desgraciadamente se cerró a las 7:00 cada noche, así que sólo teníamos unos minutos cada día para aprovecharlo. Si volviéramos a Honolulu, nos quedaríamos aquí otra vez.
