We’ve just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at the Royal Azur. The hotel is 5 star luxury epitomised, recently renovated in a modern, boutique style, spotlessly clean indoors and out with spacious well appointed rooms, magnificent sea views, lovely outdoor areas, 3 swimming pools plus an indoor pool and excellent food. On top of all this the entire staff give an outstanding service. From the warm welcome from the hall porters, Saber and Mohammed, the friendly, efficient reception staff, especially Zinab, the guest relations manageress, to the chambermaids like the kind and helpful Anissa who cleaned our room perfectly every day. The lifeguards at the pools are all helpful, professional and friendly. Thanks to Lassard, Chaker, Haythem and the other staff who always managed to keep up with a supply of towels, sun beds and parasols. Thanks too to the Executive Chef Sassi and his team of chefs and kitchen staff preparing fresh, delicious food with plenty of choice from breakfast through lunch and dinner. Every evening we could choose from a variety of meats, chicken,seafood, fresh fish, typical Tunisian dishes, vegetarian choices, lots of fresh fruit and superb desserts. The restaurant staff are professional, friendly and helpful under the excellent managers - at breakfast and lunch, Nasreddine and evenings, Faouzi and Ferjani. A special thank you to our waiter and waitress from breakfast, Dardouri and Héla and from the evening, Jebali. Lastly we must thank the director, Sami, for his approachability and, most of all, the assistant director, Romdhane - the most friendly and helpful leader of his team, always smiling, always so positive with his staff and every guest. We’re looking forward to a return visit to this hotel.
