It was my second stay in this lovely place; this tome brought a colleague over to join me :) As always, excellent place, comfortable rooms, absolutely incredible breakfast served! Thank you! P.S. As we arrived on Monday night, we missed your fabulous pub and dinner this time :(

We enjoyed meeting Jacqui, Rob and Maggie who all made us feel at home. The room was spacious, quiet and had all the essentials. The breakfasts were all made to order (thanks Maggie). Jacqui gave us lots of advice for what to do and see while we were there.

We enjoyed our stay here, Jacqui was very accommodating, Room 3 was large with a great King size bed, but the highlight was the full Welsh breakfast which kept me going all day. This was a great starting point on our road trip through Wales. Highly recommend.

Wow, what can I say. This place is fantastic, from booking to checkout the experience was exceptional. My room (3) was excellent, spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and lots of space and for me something that is a must in all rooms as I have a serious knee problem, a walk in shower. Unfortunately for me, I booked in on a Tuesday and the pub and restaurant are closed on a Monday & Tuesday but there is a complete list in the room of other local places to eat, even though I had to do this (and was notified about this when booking) I would 100% return even on a Mon or Tue. Breakfast was excellent as is Maggie (from Scotland), and con only imagine how good the meals would be. With work I cover the UK and Ireland and would put The Gwaelody y Garth Inn in my top 3 places I have ever stayed in, and there are many. In the guest book, I even noted that that the room was too cheap for the quality that is provided. I would highly recommend, but be quick as there are only 3 rooms.

What a lovely inn! The room was spacious, bed and shower excellent, all clean. Good WiFi connection and charging by beds a plus. V close to Castell Coch, and easy for Cardiff's attractions. Food was delicious, the spinach and chickpea curry was the best I've ever tasted. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back - a little gem! Many thanks.

I booked two nights because of its convenient location to Acapela Studio for 2 concerts. Staff was helpful in recommending a taxi company and connected me with another person who was attending the same concerts so we could share the taxi rides. The breakfast was cooked to order and really delicious. The room was in a extension with a separate entrance. It was large with a small fridge (glasses and milk bottle), several large angled windows so plenty of light and a nice view.

Friendly welcome, superb room, staff could not do enough for us. Food in restaurant was first class and breakfasts lovely. Couldn’t really ask for more. Will definitely return. For comfort, great service and friendly helpful staff, I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.

A brief overnight stay when attending a gig at Acapela Studios in Pentyrch. Easy check in process. Lovely warm and comfortable room on first floor. immaculately clean and well equipped. Booked a taxi to take us to and from Acapela. Very comfortable bed, fresh milk in the fridge! Breakfast was first class, absolutely delicious and plentiful. We will certainly come back in the summer to try some of the appetising dishes on the menu. highly recommended!

Small group of friends went for an early lunch this week to this well loved and respected pub / restaurant for lunch without booking. There was a great and friendly a**osphere immediately with two roaring fires and they quickly arranged a table for four of us on a dismal rainy day. We do get a few of those in Wales! We each ordered different meals which we considered were at a fair price and there was a really good variety of foods offered, I would say something for everyone. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we are really looking forward to going there again very soon.
