Stayed for one night so that we could attend Kielder Observatory. Everything about The Pheasant Inn was excellent. From the warm welcome, to the lovely cosy room, delicious food & super friendly staff (special shout-out to Melanie). Our room was perfect; comfortable, spacious, clean & toasty warm. We had an evening meal, which was really good. And then breakfast the next morning was great. And both were served in an extremely relaxed manner. Definitely recommend, cannot think of any negatives.

Every staff member took time to give us friendly smiles each time we saw them. Food and accommodation were spot on. They were interested in what we had planned for the day and gave tips on nearby places to visit. Would highly recommend, and hope to return at some point

Extra large bed was inviting and very comfortable. The room temperature was warm and easily controlled. Ample beverage facility which was serviced daily. Adequate wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well appointed. Plenty of shelf space with a large mirror was a bonus. Lovely shower too. Warm and welcoming bar and restuarant with jolly staff and efficient service. The menu is not extravigant but offers an adequte range to suite most palates all of which is high quality and well presented.

First, this Inn is soooo clean! Second, the food was excellent. Dinner first night, we had the Vegetarian Wellington and the Indian Buttered Chicken. Second night, we had the lamb and Seabass. The breakfast choices have various options other than full English, so first breakfast I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. But second day I had the full English breakfast. All the meals were excellent. The staff were friendly and ready to help. Obviously, the location is lovely being near Kielder Lake etc. We were very comfortable and satisfied with every aspect of our stay, we are definitely going back.

This was the perfect base for our visit to the Kielder Observatory just up the road. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was very good, the accommodation was quiet and comfortable with views across the fields. All in all it was very relaxing.

Enjoyed my stay, made to feel really welcome. This is a great place to stay, close to kielder and nice and quiet to relax in. Food was excellent and plentiful. Hotel room was spacious with a massive bed and the ensuite was gigantic. Everywhere was spotless and nothing to find fault with.

We stayed for one night and I wished we booked for longer. Room was quiet and clean with good quality bedding and views over countryside. Excellent breakfast and we had a very good evening meal. Very good location with easy access to Kielder Observatory.

This hotel/pub is in a beautiful setting and my room was a good size, comfortable, well decorated and equipped with a spacious bathroom. The service from all staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great choice for breakfast and our evening meal in the restaurant was superb.

The accommodation was great - new, clean and very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent (and full - a good indicator of its quality. The choice for breakfast was really good and filling!
