We stayed for 3 nights as a family with children under the age of 6 and had the best time. The hotel service is exceptional, every need was met. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the valet who helped us park the car and take our bags. They reserved our space for us with a board for the whole stay. The children received a kids backpack with hat, yo-yo and colouring in. We went straight down to the health club to the indoor pool. When we came out the reception said our room was now ready and collected the keys for us. Our room was a junior suite, it spotless and sizeable with drinks provided on ice and slippers for everyone. In the evening the children could order complimentary milk and cookies which they loved. The outdoor pool was heated and lovely when the sun was out, this was end of may/June. There also was a waiter serving drinks outside. The breakfast was amazing, great selection and the kids loved have every meal served with a cloche and countdown reveal. The added extras on the service make this a wonderful hotel. The positives far outweigh the negatives, I guess it could do with some new carpets and some new upholstery but the charm of the old building supersedes this and although old it was very clean. The bed mattress was ok, quite soft. The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable but ok for young children. We will be back again!! Thank you

El hotel de la boutique es un hotel de calidad, con un servicio excelente, con un personal amigable y eficiente. Nuestro cuarto estaba limpio y muy cómodo con vistas hermosas. El bar sirvió una buena variedad de bebidas y cocktails. No la comíamos como nos reunimos con la familia.

¡El ascensor no trabajaba para usar el ascensor de servicio que parecía totalmente inseguro! ¡Había una petición especial para que se entregara a nuestra habitación una botella de champán, pero había una mezcla en la recepción que advirtió que el servicio no estaba disponible ahora y se le restituyó, pero no a mi hija que solicitó, sino a otra habitación! ¡No hay excusas cuando mi hija se puso a descubrir qué era el problema, porque debería haber sido contactada! ¡No habríamos reservado si nuestro hotel habitual The View no fuera disponible!

Excellent location for the beach, various restaurants, shops and the railway station - with the added bonus of having on-site parking. We were welcomed by the lovely Nickole who was full of smiles and very friendly. She explained the breakfast room, showed us the evening facilities (i.e. if you wanted use of a microwave), and where the lounge area was (with drink facilities if required). Our booking was for 2 single rooms and as requested were on the same floor. The rooms, each with their own bathroom, have everything you need and the beds were very comfy. Overall this B&B is nice and clean and in a good location. At the end of my stay I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Steve and through our chat I could see his passion for ensuring his guests would have a great stay (since they took this place on last year), and that he would be a good custodian of this lovely old Victorian building. I look forward to returning in the very near future.

No lo que queríamos después de viajar por horas 3.5. Fuimos a otro lugar para comer. Preguntábamos por el desayuno para ser diciéndonos que podíamos comer en nuestra habitación o en la biblioteca. Optamos por la biblioteca pero es muy difícil y malo para la digestión comer un desayuno caliente en una mesa de salón, sólo la altura correcta para el perro. Estamos realmente sentíamos como los extranjeros. Los perros pueden ser bienvenidos, pero los propietarios no lo son. La habitación de la habitación era muy agradable, pero la habitación era muy buena.

This was my second stay, the first with my granddaughter aged 2 and 10 months. Everything was perfect, I couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was just so friendly and we had a wonderful time. We felt like part of the family and were very much ”at home” staying at the Beach Front. A big thank you from myself and Isabel for making us feel so welcome.

An unexpected opportunity to leave the teenagers at home for the night led to us booking a night at the Ravilious. What a fabulous place, the owners, Chris and Caroline were welcoming and friendly, with lots of recommendations for places to eat and drink, as well as places to go. Our room was beautiful, the whole place has been done so nicely and had a lovely feel to it. Breakfast was delicious, all freshly prepared and served in the dining/bar area. We actually don't live that far from Eastbourne but it felt like a real treat and a lovely break away, the weather was perfect and we took the long way home to visit Beachy Head, the Seven Sisters and Cuckmere and then onto the Longman Brewery which are all close to the hotel. Perfect place and we would love to come back again!

Just arrived back from break at Ebor Lodge, Eastbourne. The hotel was fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good. Will definitely go back. The drive from Essex was OK even with road diversions, it was no trouble. Was taken as part of 70th birthday present and I couldn't have enjoyed it any better. PS The little veranda was a good suntrap over looking beach and sea.
