Stayed in The Dylan hotel for a night as we were coming up to look at wedding rings in Dublin. We have never received such top class service in any other hotel and we are very fond on traveling. From the second we arrived we were greeted with 3 friendly receptionists that checked us in even though we were 4 hours early and took our bags to our room and took our keys to park the car (vallet service). We had to be at the Guinness factory for a tour so they quickly rang us a taxi and it was there within 2 mins. When we came back we were greeted with a lovely card and plate with desserts and a Happy Birthday note in chocolate as my birthday is in a few days. The next morning we went for breakfast and they had our bags brought out to the car and the car parked waiting at the front door for us. After I ordered breakfast i realised our appoin**ent was half an hour early so told them we would leave the breakfast and they insisted to have it ready for us asap. Within minutes they had a beautiful breakfast sitting in front of us. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for top quality service and not to mention how beautiful this boutique hotel is and how close it is in a taxi to all popular tourist spots.

El personal es muy duro y generoso. “Raro, medio- raro lamb por favor. “ Bien hecho es lo que me sirvió. Dos huéspedes en los teléfonos vocales , para que todo el restaurante pudiera oír. Quería que las personas regresaran a casa para saber que estaban en Irlanda. Preguntó por las 8:00 descansar...nope...nada...toallas sucias... No hay agua cerca de la cama desayuno...esparció un buffet impresionante llegó al restaurante como el 2o invitado. No hay una comida ni siquiera cerca de caliente. Pudding blanco y/o negro, panqueques, champiñones....todo frío y quiero decir frío. 3 viajes al escritorio delantero para obtener tarjeta para trabajar en la puerta de la habitación de huéspedes. Sí, en el esquema de cosas...esos son asuntos y ofensas menores. Pero en este punto de precio...Es el Davenport desde ahora.

No puedo decir lo suficiente sobre The Merrion. El hotel es hermoso. El encanto de los hoteles es maravilloso. El personal entero es tan amable y acomodable. It was my first trip away after major illness, so I decided to maximise my enjoyment by making my journey as easy as I could. Flights to and from France were bookended by one night stays in the Uppercross House Hotel in Rathmines, and the Phoenix Park Hotel, chosen for its proximity to Heuston Station and the train home. Had I known way back in January what I do today, I’d have booked both nights at the Uppercross House Hotel, and used the money I saved on the room to pay for a taxi to the station. My experiences at the two hotels could not be more different. At the Uppercross House Hotel my welcome, my room, my breakfast and every encounter with the staff was excellent. The staff in particular were exceptional: caring, friendly and professional. The cost of my room with breakfast was over €30 less than the Phoenix Park Hotel, and both my requests for a top floor room and a room away from the road were realised. In contrast my welcome at the Phoenix Park Hotel made me feel like a criminal. I always greet staff with a big smile. In response, in stead of “Hello!” or “Good afternoon!” I received “I.D. Please.” Then I found out that my booking didn’t include breakfast, and that no cooked breakfast was available. I accept both hotels are in the city, and therefore noise was inevitable, but the Phoenix Park Hotel ignored both my requests, giving me a first floor room at the apex of a busy traffic junction. Both window latches were broken, so I went to reception to request a room change, and was moved to another first floor room that also had broken window latches. Then I was kept awake all night by banging and thumping above me (that’s why I prefer top floor rooms.) The bathroom had a blocked sink and cracked floor tiles. Next time I stay in Dublin I’ll be at the splendid little Uppercross House Hotel, enjoying an evening down the road at Slattery’s excellent pub.

My experience at Donnybrook Hall was wonderful! My double room was more than adequate with an updated private bathroom. Enough hangers in wardrobe for my 8 night stay. Comfy bed, warm room (with the nice option to crack open a window) for my December stay. TV also included music channels, which was nice, Coffee/tea/biscuit/choc croissant in room daily. The staff was hospitable from checkin to my departure, Encountered a friendly face to ask about needing help every morning and night. Daily housekeeping was reliable and trustworthy. Defiantly a family operation! The neighborhood is great. There is a row of shops that include an upscale market, a bakery/coffee shop, Tesco, a pub with a restaurant and another restaurant. A fast food place serving really good fish and chips is open late along with another fast food place. There is a bus stop near the hotel, city center is about a 20 min ride by bus. I used taxis (easy pickup area in front of hotel) and safely walked into town many times. A taxi to temple bar was about 15-20 euros, a 50 min walk. This is a good option for a nice, quiet stay. A great value for the room and resourcefulness of the staff. Would defiantly recommend and revisit Donnybrook Hall!

El hotel es un hotel muy agradable, con habitaciones confortables que no son grandes, pero lo suficientemente baratas. La situación de estacionamiento no es fantástica usted tendrá que estacionar en la calle o encontrar un multi-storey a unos kilómetros de distancia sin embargo esto no es culpa de los hoteles. Sólo asegúrese de que obtenga la aplicación de la etiqueta de estacionamiento antes de visitar, para que pueda pagar más fácilmente el estacionamiento en la calle.

This really is an absolute gem of a hotel. We were given such a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated. Our room was a standard room but the furnishings and complementary goods gave it a luxury feel. The bed was super comfortable with soft linens and huge fluffy pillows. The hotel had thought of everything including umbrellas to borrow for the typical Irish weather. We were able to easily walk into the heart of Temple Bar. The breakfast served was unbelievably delicious and lots of it! All freshly cooked from a vast menu. This is a family run hotel and the personal flare really shows. Can’t wait to return!
