Es un buen hotel, pequeño, de explotación familiar, en la misma ribera del rio. Muy bien situado para visitar esta tranquila ciudad. El parking está a unos 5' y es de precio reducido. El nivel de las habitaciones es muy bueno, así como el del desayuno y elogiable la atención de sus responsables, siempre atentos a cualquier necesidad. El hotel cuenta con dos restaurantes de un buen nivel situados en la parte de atrás. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente y con un nivel de calidad/precio excelente.

Fue un descubrimiento en la ciudad de Besançon, donde hicimos una parada de una noche en nuestra ruta por la Borgoña. El hotel es muy completo, es un edificio antiguo y las habitaciones actuales, cómodas y acogedoras, con unas vistas preciosas por las dos fachadas. El recepcionista muy amable y servicial. El desayuno completo. Todo limpísimo. Y ambiente de tranquilidad.

Bien situado en pleno centro histórico a orillas del río y en un edificio histórico. Personal muy amable. Tiene restaurante. Las habitaciones son algo pequeñas pero suficientes. Te informan sobre visitas en los alrededores

El hotel se encuentra en una ubicación céntrica con vistas al rio o al centro de la ciudad. Es de destacar la amabilidad de las personas que lo gestionan Aunque se encuentra en un edificio antiguo, la habitación, tipo buhardilla, es totalmente nueva y muy bien equipada, incluyendo una iluminación excelente, lo que se echa en falta en gran parte de otros hoteles Habitación muy limpia

Perfectly located to experience the beautiful city with our adult sons! The streets outside the hotel in the old part of the city were so pretty, and we easily hiked from the hotel to the citadel and all sights in-between. Restaurants were within steps, shopping was within steps. We had breakfast at the hotel one day then went to a French cafe the next. It’s also a walkable distance to/from the train station. Since we were there to explore the historical sites, we appreciated the history of the building we stayed in, too! The staff member who helped us was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were right above the square and, although a bit noisy in the late afternoon/evening, I personally enjoyed the energy of people having a good time. Again-authentic experience! We would definitely stay here again.

Whether you are visiting Besancon for business or as a tourist, the Hotel Vauban is a great place to stay. Located in the old town and overlooking either the Place de la Revolution or the Doub RIver, history, great shops and restaurants are within minutes on foot, reasonably priced public parking is easily accessible just after crossing the river. The hotel itself is friendly and personable, old yet modern, and reasonably priced.

Single room for a correct price and very clean. A little bit noisy due to the location, but nothing serious.... Everything else (room, breakfast, service) impecable. Difficult to reach directly by car, so inquire first with hotel.

A 3 star hotel without a 24 hour desk. The front doors are locked during the mid-day until 2 or 3 pm, not really sure. The front door is on a narrow walkway beside the river that is used by many single men; sitting, eating, drinking. Also, that front door and walkway face the very hot afternoon sun. The hotel is totally run by one man who also runs two restaurants that open to the other side of the building (the plaza) and it seems he is a primary cook for those restaurants. The restaurant kitchens are in the basement and exhaust their kitchens to the front door walkway. Breakfast is very minimal. Room was small, clean and quiet. The location is very good, in the heart of Besancon.
