The hotel is a derelict. The receptionist couldn't speak neither English nor Italian. We also tried French and German, but he didn't understand. I showed him the problems and he just assumed a dismissive attitude saying, "that's normal". When I told him that I would take pictures and upload them to tripadvisor, he started screaming and for a moment we thought that he would attack us. Needless to say that we left. It was my first time that I felt fear staying in a hotel. That's why I wanted to write this review.

Stayed for four nights, 13-18 March, 2022. Very cold that period, like 2-3 degrees by night with no heating in the rooms. Ventilation exhaust of bathroom was in the room (?!). Breakfast, just coffee and some sweet bakery, very poor. Administrator of the place, Fernando, not really an administrator, just a keeper that didn't know which was his job. Rooms not so clean. Some table, that we found out, after an incident, very expensive, like 800-1200 euro value, left on terrace with no warning of safety that can be broken or cannot be used by visitors. One of my friends was hurt at the feet. For sure next time, when I'll be in Catania, I'll avoid this location. Not even a star ranking.

I was a guest in this wonderful hotel, I found the rooms very nice, with great classic style, the friendly and polite staff, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, new choices every morning. I was hosted with a lot of affection. I felt at home.I'll be back with my family, Sicilian-style welcome, in fact I tasted homemade jams from typical local companies and fine wines at honest prices every evening

An ok hotel with an interesting 60es flair and friendly personell. However, seemed quite unorganized although there were just a few guests. The hotel is far from the city center but there is a bus stop rihgt in front of it. Squeaking doors, dirty floors, very little choice to eat for breakfast (for example no eggs, saussages, toast, cheese or anything sallty). But for the price we payed (less than 30 Eur a night with breakfast) that's understandable.
Catania is overall a surprisingly dirty and undevelloped city, with partly few nice attractions and squares. On the other side, the food was very good, night life is vibrant (ask the locals where the bussiest streets are) and all the people are very friendly.

Come here!! We absolutely love this place! This hotel was wonderful in accommodating our big family. We had reservations for a week here and my family of 5 had a glorious time. We visited right after COVID restrictions and as quarantines were lifted. Only 15 min from the airport. We were greeted by Piero at 8pm , and he helped get us checked in. Our room was on the top floor. [Get ready to climb some beautiful stairs.] We reserved the 2 rooms with king beds, one room had an additional single. Veranda views of the city are beautiful. Rooms are VERy clean and well kept. Beds are excellent. Breakfast was ready daily. Pria (Fernando) we communicated with daily, his English was perfect. He helped us learn their metro system and navigate through Catania. We had a wonderful time here. They also have an awesome wine collection if you plan on bringing home several bottles back home. We plan on staying here again. Catania is a wonderful place for families. Very warm and hospitable!!

Vintage Italian designed, tall beautiful doors , room ceiling painting, staff friendly and helpful. This place is right next to the Borgo metro station in Catania. If we return to Catania, we will definitely go back to Etnea suite 668

Toilet shutoff valve was closed. After turning it on realized flush was defective. Staff had to fix it.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel only 1 night and we fell in love with the room they gave us. The ceiling looks like 3-4 meters high(which might indicate it's an ancient building) and is painted with a fresco. The idea of hiding the bathroom behind a closet door is absolute genius. We loved everything of our room. The receptionist we met when we checked in was friendly and polite. We had a nice chat where we shared our experiencies as receptionists (I used to be a receptionist before the pandemic started). The hotel is within 20 minutes walking distance from Borsellino square which is the final stop if you're travelling around Sicily by bus. Unfortunaltey we weren't impressed by the breakfast and we think they should improve it. When you go to Sicily you expect to taste the sicilian flavours, but it actually looked like an average intercontinental breakfast. We might very well be back again.
