Room was good and clean.
Location excellent.

Amazing hotel. Clean, modern and super comfy bed. Had everything you needed in room apart from Fridge. Only downside was the service was a little slow in the bar but was informed this was due to a change in how they are operating. Also, drinks were on the pricier side- £15 for a cocktail. Would definitely recommend as price for room was reasonable compared to competitors.

As much as its decor is new and grand the room was small very hot and bed was so hard and uncomfortable . My daughter and I want to have a swim and jacuzzi and it turned out to be £80 for 90 mins . The breakfast was greasy cold , scrambled eggs freezing at £22 per head was awful . Just like Celtic manor which was fantastic but has been the same for some time now . So disappointed won’t be going again

The Parkgate hotel is by far the best hotel my wife & I have had the pleasure to stay at in Cardiff.
The receptionist (Christa?) upon arrival is one of the nicest receptionist’s we have encountered and is a credit to the hotel. So too is the duty manager that was on the day we left (31/01/2024) sorry, we cannot recall his name.
Unfortunately, the waiting staff at breakfast were the only people that let us down. They were the most sullen looking and miserable staff we have ever encountered. They never smiled or spoke to anybody and we found it very off putting to say the least but, apart from them, it 5 star in every sense and we will definitely return to this beautiful hotel

We travelled by train, the hotel is in a very convenient location to the railway station and close to all the city amenities. Room was very well appointed and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back.
