What a lovely little boutique hotel! We ended our holiday in South Africa here and thought our room was as nice or better than any of the bigger hotels we stayed at (it was a suite). It was honestly luxurious with a big sofa area, efficient air conditioning and a huge comfy bed plus wonderful direct view of the ocean with a big outside terrace and 2 sun beds. The poolside area was also really sweet and pretty with regular visits by staff if we wanted any drinks or snacks out there. We loved our stay and thank you to Shirley for helping us secure a harbour view dinner reservation at one of the top restaurants in Cape town at very short notice. This hotel has a really personal touch and great attention to detail, we loved it.

Es un hotel bastante bonito. El primer piso se llama G (Planta baja) y el vestíbulo está ubicado un piso más arriba de las escaleras, lo que lo convierte esencialmente en el primer piso. Aunque no pudimos ver las vistas de Table Mountain o Signal Hill desde nuestra habitación, el interior de la habitación estaba limpio y bien mantenido. Muchos hoteles requieren que apuntes una tarjeta a un dispositivo en la pared para encender las luces, pero este hotel proporcionó dos tarjetas. Utilice la tarjeta que reciba únicamente como llave de la habitación. Si tocas la tarjeta en la pared y las luces de tu habitación ya no se encienden por mal contacto, Por favor informe al personal del hotel. Un empleado irá a su habitación y le atenderá. Se proporcionan jabón corporal, champú, secador de pelo, toallas de baño, etc. El aire acondicionado también parece poder ajustar con precisión la temperatura.

La ubicación está cerca del punto del mar en la zona de estar blanca de Ciudad del Cabo. Hay un supermercado a diez minutos a pie. Puedes pasear por la calle. Rodeado de comida coreana, tailandesa y china. Las instalaciones de las habitaciones son un poco viejas y el área es un poco pequeña, especialmente el inodoro y el baño se sienten pequeños, las instalaciones del baño son un poco pobres. Pero muy limpio. Frente al mar, la distancia es un poco lejana, pero la vista es muy buena.

The location is really great, we stayed in a 1 bedroom 4 sleeper apartment and had a side view of the ocean. The staff are friendly will go out of their way to accomodate you. There is very limited parking so you must book a spot in advance. When there is loadshedding there is not alternative power solutions and the lift will not work. The apartment is tiny, and really cannot accomodate more then two people. The bathrooms are really in need of an upgrade. (photos attached) In the bedroom due to the tiny size one cupboard cannot be used/opened fully. Our balcony door did not lock, which left us feeling a bit unsafe. The digital safe only worked with a key, and we also opted to not use it - did not feel secure enough. The lift is neglected - tiles falling off For the prime location of seaview I expected more Our housekeeper Cherlene, was great though - friendly and each day we came to different bathroom towel themes (photo attached)

El día del checking llegamos sobre las 17:30 y las habitaciones estaban sin hacer, sucias y sin toallas, nos fuimos a dar una vuelta después de hacer la petición en recepción y cuando regresamos a la hora y media seguía todo igual, volvimos a reclamar que nos hicieran las habitaciones y fuimos a cenar, volvimos aproximadamente a las 21:15 y no habían arreglado aún el apartamento. De nuevo reclamamos que nos la hicieran urgentemente y ya enfadados, sin duchar y deseando acostarnos (he de señalar que allí se hace la vida desde muy temprano, con lo que lo normal es estar durmiendo sobre las 21:30-22:00 h y ya duchados). Finalmente el recepcionista y otro trabajador del hotel nos hicieron las camas, conseguimos unas toallas, pero esto fue a las 22:00 horas y sin poder disponer del apartamento. En principio nos ofrecieron una noche adicional como compensación, pero no podíamos quedarnos, teníamos otros planes y otro hotel pagado en otra localidad, al día siguiente nos ofrecieron hacer el checkout 4 horas más tarde, lo cual tampoco nos interesaba. Solicitamos nos compensaran con desayunos o cenas, o bien nos devolviesen el importe de una noche por las molestas causadas, pero nada hicieron al respecto, por lo que estamos muy descontentos y por supuesto que no recomendáremos este alojamiento a nadie. Hubo otro problema con la tostadora, nos quedamos sin luz y tardamos en la reposición más de 24 horas, nos sentimos ignorados y mal atendidos. Al preguntar el día del checkout por un mapa o información sobre una excursión, la chica de recepción ni hacía por entendernos, ni supo darnos una mínima indicación al respecto. Encontramos una camiseta de otra persona debajo de una cama el 2º día de estar allí, por lo que endentemos que la limpieza deja mucho que desear. El día de llegada, mientras estábamos intentando que nos hicieran el apartamento para poder dormir, coincidimos en recepción con otros tres huéspedes de diferentes habitaciones esperando para conseguir toallas. Desastre total.

My stay @ Mountview Spa and Guest House came after 3 nights in a hostel in Green Point - Just what the Dr ordered! A fantastic property with excellent service from start to finish. Joe was a great host and nothing was too much trouble (he is clearly committed to making sure that every guest has a positive experience) The breakfast and coffee were particularly good, and the property is well positioned for access to plenty of restaurants, shops etc just down the road.
