We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

Como cliente habitual del Evolution y me gusta mucho el hotel en general, especialmente el personal nocturno, que siempre fue acogedor, cálido y amable, mi viaje más reciente cambió por completo. Mi pareja y yo reservamos juntos en mi cuenta (como viajo regularmente, mis recompensas son más altas) pero pagamos con su tarjeta. Normalmente recibo un ascenso gratuito a mi habitación, pero en este caso quería hacerlo especial, pagando más por una habitación con vistas. Teníamos una habitación pequeña en la esquina (nada que ver con las habitaciones en las que me había alojado antes) y para nuestra decepción no tenía vistas. Pregunté esto y, a pesar de poder mostrar los extras pagados, me dijeron que técnicamente estar rodeado y apiñado entre edificios comerciales de gran altura, era una ”vista de la ciudad”. Nuestra segunda noche allí se fue al sur sin molestias para nadie más que residía allí ni para el personal del hotel, sin embargo, como una forma de abusar de mí, llamé al hotel y sin previo aviso fue rechazado. No solo ignoraron las señales claras de que una pareja intentaba causar problemas a su cónyuge, sino que lo habilitaron y me amenazaron con la policía después de intentar disputar el asunto. Planeo llevar este asunto más lejos.

Recommend if you are looking for a clean and quality place to stay and are a budget traveller. This yha has a very high standard compared to others. It is more like a youth hotel with bunk beds rather than a backpackers place. You also meet travellers of all ages, families and youth groups around the place. The rooms are super tidy and serviced daily, spacious luggage lockers that fit a large suitcase (fantastic!) and are light filled with aircon or windows to be opened. The kitchen is very big, nice rooftop terrace with city views and pool area. Tv lounge and soon it’s own co working hub which I think is a great addition to the concept. Free luggage storage for guests and friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel is just a 5 min walk to the Queen Street Mall and also very close to the Treasury ******. I arrived at about 2:00pm (the set check inn time), but a large tour group was also trying to check inn. So I let my luggage and came back latter. My room was located on Level 12, and at the back of the building. As the hotel is opposite a construction site, it was wise to have a room facing the back of this building. The view is nothing exceptional - just a small courtyard with taller buildings surrounding the hotel. The room was very spacious with a comfortable sofa-chair and lamp to view the TV (from a distance). The internet was hit and miss. There are two connections. One free with lower internet speeds and another network for $5 with higher speeds. I was given access to the higher speed network for free when visiting the reception for voucher. Some times the internet connection was exceptional but often it dropped out and you have to reconnect several times. The bathroom was very modern and shower was fulled enclosed with glass door, rather than a shower curtain. However, note there are two issues with the bathroom. The toilet is not accustomed too much paper, and was often blocked. (fortunately there is bathroom brush provided to unblock the toilet). Secondly, there seems to be some problem with the drain under the sink, that was letting water in to the bathroom floor. Hap to mop up the wet floors, using towels, which I put over the drain. Despite these problems, I would still recommend this hotel. It represents good value for money in a prime location.

Hoteles muy cómodos, no es agradable, pero muy limpio y prudente. Recomendación! A 10 minutos del piso de la sala de la ciudad, no puede llevarse un paseo. La ubicación es buena y duerme tranquilo. El inglés no es bueno o puede comunicarse con correo, cobrar autobús, muy sencillo. Si llega a la tienda más de las ocho de la noche, necesita ponerse en contacto con ellos, darle pasaportes y fotos de tarjetas de crédito, le ayudará a hacer su estadía con antelación, el aeropuerto vendrá a alquilar más de cincuenta yuan autónomos, y subir a un pequeño correo, Hay una pequeña caja de hierro en la pared de la puerta, introduzca la contraseña, puede obtener el autobús gratuito en la puerta 🔑, pero no es absolutamente necesario, no hay atracciones lejos, esta ciudad tiene barcos gratis, puede ver la vista nocturna, se ponen ocho palabras en el río, se pueden parar en ambos lados, ¡El lunes por la mañana vio la comida, lavandería y coches de coche para los desplazados, y el jueves por la noche en el parque de la colina vio esta actividad de bienestar público, otra organización!

Un poco difícil de encontrar, puede haber problemas con la navegación. Puede aparcar gratis, ir al centro comercial para conducir y caminar lejos. Las instalaciones pueden ser, usted puede cocinar sus propias comidas, vajilla completa.

Ventajas: el precio es barato, el ambiente general de la habitación se siente bien, también se puede ver la vista del río y es conveniente viajar. Abajo hay un delicioso restaurante chino. Desventajas: Las instalaciones son relativamente generales y el servicio también es muy general. Por ejemplo, si la secadora está rota, tengo que llamar a alguien para que la repare y ni siquiera tengo un teléfono en la habitación. Tengo que usar mi teléfono móvil para hacer una llamada en la recepción. Ni siquiera tengo una percha en la habitación ... Si quiero un champú por la noche, tengo que ir a la recepción a buscarlo. y muchos más…

muy limpio y acondicionado - bien equipada cocina y agradable personal útil

Todo está bien, excepto que mi tarjeta de crédito está mal pagada por 37 aus dólares 10 minutos después de la salida, así que tengo que volver al hotel para hablar con la recepción. Me dijo que era un error del sistema que me hizo sentir molesto como si no recibiera el mensaje de mi tarjeta de crédito o no prestara atención al mensaje inmediatamente me llamaría del hotel por ninguna razón ....so ahora tengo que comprobar de nuevo con mi banco cuando vuelvo a casa para asegurarme de que esta cantidad no se cargará a mi tarjeta que desperdicia bastante mi tiempo.
